The Vivo V60 appears to be nearing its launch in India. A leak from yesterday claimed that the device will debut in the country on August 19. Now, a fresh leak from a new source has revealed the phone’s design and color options.

The latest information comes from tipster Yogesh Brar on X, who shared photos of the Vivo V60 in two color variants. Judging by the images, they seem to be the Auspicious Gold (right) and Moonlight Blue (left) shades. Additionally, Brar claims that the phone will also be available in a Mist Grey color.

Vivo S30 features a familiar design

As for the design, the phone features a pill-shaped camera module on the back housing two sensors, while the third lens and LED flash sit outside the module.

We can also spot the Zeiss branding, confirming that the V-series will continue to benefit from this imaging partnership.

Now, let’s talk about the expected specs. To recap, the Vivo V60 is expected to be a rebranded version of the China-exclusive Vivo S30.

The S30 flaunts a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and Vivo pairs it with up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Camera-wise, you get a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto camera. For selfies, there’s a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus support.

Keeping everything powered is a 6000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. Unfortunately, there’s no wireless charging, but it gets bypass charging support.

Vivo has officially unveiled the S30 series in China, introducing two new smartphones, the standard Vivo S30 and the compact S30 Pro Mini. Both models focus on design, camera creativity, and long-lasting battery life, while offering flagship-level performance at midrange prices. The S30 series continues Vivo’s trend of combining vibrant aesthetics with capable hardware, now enhanced with cinematic zoom features and triple-proof durability.

Vivo S30 and Vivo S30 Pro Mini Specifications

The Vivo S30 sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and ultra-high 3840Hz PWM dimming. It delivers up to 5000 nits of peak brightness and uses BOE’s Q10 panel technology for vivid visuals. The S30 Pro Mini opts for a slightly smaller 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED panel with the same refresh rate and peak brightness, but adds 4320Hz PWM dimming for improved eye comfort.

Under the hood, the S30 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset built on a 4nm process, paired with the Adreno 722 GPU. It delivers solid performance for daily multitasking and gaming. The S30 Pro Mini steps things up with the flagship-class MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, also built on 4nm, with clock speeds up to 3.4GHz and the Immortalis-G720 GPU. Vivo claims the phone can maintain 119.8fps in high-quality mode in games like Honor of Kings.

Both models run on Android 15 with OriginOS 5 skin on top. The software experience is enhanced with features like “One Tap Transfer,” device syncing with Mac, AirPods locator support, and the new Flash Sale Engine to improve booking speeds for tickets and events.

Both phones feature the same triple rear camera setup, led by a 50MP Sony main sensor—LYT700V on the S30 and IMX921 on the Pro Mini. This is paired with a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom at f/2.65, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, there’s a 50MP autofocus selfie camera with soft lighting and distortion correction.

The Pro Mini adds a “Clear Portrait Texture” algorithm that enhances facial details for a more natural look. Both models support Vivo’s new cinematic features, including “Classic Negative” and “Hitchcock Zoom Live,” which records a 3-second shot with dynamic background movement while keeping the subject locked in the center.

Each phone houses a massive 6500mAh battery and supports 90W fast charging. The S30 features a plastic frame, while the S30 Pro Mini uses an aerospace-grade aluminum body with Gorilla Glass and is certified IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance.

The S30 Pro Mini also becomes the first smartphone globally to secure SGS triple-proof certification. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 on the S30 and Wi-Fi 7 on the Pro Mini, along with Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, infrared remote control, and dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio support.

Vivo is also offering a limited-edition Sanrio-themed gift box with the S30 series. It includes Sanrio merchandise, a photo frame voucher, a perforated case, a phone pouch, a lanyard, and a phone stand.

Pricing and Availability

The Vivo S30 is priced at 2699 yuan (approximately $370) for the 12GB+256GB model, 2999 yuan (around $410) for 12GB+512GB, and 3299 yuan (about $450) for the 16GB+512GB variant.

The S30 Pro Mini starts at 3499 yuan (roughly $480) for 12GB+256GB, goes up to 3799 yuan (about $520) for 12GB+512GB, and tops out at 3999 yuan (around $545) for the 16GB+512GB version.

Buyers can take advantage of pre-sale offers such as trade-in bonuses, extended warranty coverage, and limited-edition accessories. Pre-orders are now open in China, with official sales beginning on June 6.

Vivo has announced a major launch event scheduled for May 29 in China, where multiple new products will be introduced. As per official teasers and product posters, the event will not only mark the debut of the Vivo S30 smartphone series but will also include the unveiling of the Vivo Pad 5 tablet, Vivo TWS Air 3 earbuds, and a 33W fast-charging power bank.

The new TWS Air 3 earbuds are designed for lightweight comfort and immersive audio, weighing just 3.6 grams per earbud. They offer up to 45 hours of battery life and support 3D surround sound. Vivo will offer it in dark blue, white, and pink colors.

The 33W power bank will feature a built-in charging cable and a slim form factor. It will have support fast charging on devices from other brands.

The Vivo S30 series’ pre-orders are now live on Vivo’s online store in China, suggesting that the lineup will break cover on May 29. As per reports, the series will include two models, the S30 and S30 Pro Mini. Ahead of the launch, the Geekbench listings of both devices have been spotted. As usual, the Geekbench appearances have revealed their chipset, RAM, and OS.

As can be seen above, two upcoming Vivo smartphones with model numbers V2464A and V2465A have emerged in Geekbench’s database. The former is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, which features the Adreno 722 GPU, as per its source code. On the other hand, the latter features the Dimensity 9400e. The names of the chipsets are not specifically mentioned in the listings, but their CPU and GPU configurations hint at the inclusion of the above-mentioned chipsets.

The chipsets revealed through the Geekbench listings align with the leaks surrounding the Vivo S30 series. The benchmark listings also show that these devices are equipped with 16GB of RAM and Android 15.

The Vivo S30 scored 1251 and 3635 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. On the other hand, the S30 Pro Mini recorded 2299 and 7348 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

According to other reports, the Vivo S30 will feature a 6.55-inch display whereas the S30 Pro Mini will have a smaller 6.31-inch. Both OLED panels will support a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices are also said to pack a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. There’s a possibility that both phones may feature a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 50-megapixel (Sony IMX882, periscope) triple camera setup.

The Vivo S30 Pro Mini may get rebranded as the Vivo S30 Pro Mini globally in July. On the other hand, a tweaked version of the S30 may be released as the Vivo V60 a couple of months later.

The regular Vivo S30 keeps things familiar. It will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (SM7750) chipset. The phone will include a 6500mAh battery and a 50MP IMX882 periscope camera.

What’s different this time is that there’s no standard “Pro” model. Instead, Vivo is replacing it with a new device called the S30 Pro Mini. According to Vivo China’s product VP Ouyang Weifeng and leaker Digital Chat Station, this model will stand in for the usual Pro variant and bring a mix of compact design and high-end specs.

The S30 Pro Mini will come with a smaller 6.31-inch flat OLED display at the same 1.5K resolution. It’s powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e SoC and also carries a 6500mAh battery. 

Like the standard model, it is said to include a 50MP IMX882 periscope camera. It will feature a metal middle frame for a more premium build than typical mid-range phones.

The S30 Pro Mini is expected to be rebranded as the Vivo X200 FE in international markets. While Vivo hasn’t confirmed the exact launch date yet, the S30 series is expected to be announced in China before the end of May.

DCS revealed in a new Weibo post that the Vivo S30 Pro Mini will be powered by MediaTek’s yet-to-be-announced Dimensity 9400e chipset. This SoC is expected to be an improved version of the Dimensity 9300+, which was launched in May 2024.

He added that the S30 Pro Mini is also said to include a Sony IMX882 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a metal middle frame, and an x-axis linear motor. A previous report claimed that its rear camera setup will comprise a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 50-megapixel triple camera unit. This device is likely to get rebranded as the Vivo X200 FE in India.

The new leak also suggests that the S30 will feature the same periscope telephoto camera along with a metal middle frame. The tipster has not shared anything about the Vivo S30’s chipset. However, the tipster has previously claimed that the device will be equipped with the Qualcomm SM7550 chip, which is nothing but the existing Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. The S30 series is expected to arrive in four shades such as blue, gold, pink, and black.

The above leak suggests that the S30 series compact smartphone may have “Pro Mini” in its moniker. Therefore, there is a possibility that the device may arrive with the Vivo S30 Pro Mini marketing name.

The leak reveals that the alleged Vivo S30 Pro Mini will feature a 6.31-inch flat screen that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels. Previously, the tipster revealed that the device will have an LTPO OLED panel.

Powering the device will be an upcoming chip dubbed the Dimensity 9400e, which according to other reports may debut next month. The leak states that the D9400e would just be a rebranded version of the existing Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. Under the hood, it will feature a big battery with support for 90W fast charging.

Vivo is unlikely to talk about the S30 series now as it is focused on the Vivo X200 Ultra launch event, which is expected to be held in the second half of this month. Alongside the X200 Ultra, the brand will announce the Vivo X200S, Vivo Pad 5 Pro, Vivo Pad SE, and Watch 5. Therefore, the brand may start teasing the arrival of the S30 series after unveiling the above-mentioned products.
