Vivo has launched its Vivo T1x today in India. The handset will be the latest addition to the company’s budget segment. The newly launched device comes with some decent specifications. It features an LCD display, a 5000mAh battery, a Snapdragon chipset, and much more. Let’s have a closer look at the price and specifications of the new Vivo smartphone.

Vivo T1x India Price, availability

The Vivo T1x in India has been set at Rs. 11,999 ($150) for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The smartphone also comes in 4GB RAM + 128GB and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant which will be priced at Rs. 12,999 (roughly $162) and Rs. 14,999 ($187), respectively. The smartphone will be available in Gravity Black and Space Blue color options. It will go on sale through Flipkart starting July 27.

There are also some tempting offers available. For instance, if you purchase the Vivo T1x from Flipkart using an HDFC Bank card, you will get Rs. 1,000 instant discount.

Vivo T1x Specifications

The Vivo T1x features a 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD display offering a resolution of 2408×1080 and a refresh rate of 90Hz and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.6%.  Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone also comes with support for virtual RAM.

As far as cameras are concerned, the Vivo T1x houses a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor, accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro lens along with an LED flash. While on the front, the smartphone offers an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The Vivo T1x packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. On the software front, the device runs Android 12 based on Funtouch OS 12.

The Chinese smartphone maker shared the news on its official Indian Twitter handle. Looking at the tweet, the company teased the upcoming launch of the Vivo T1x model. While this will be the latest T series handset in India, the device was previously launched in other markets like the Philippines. So, we know that the smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 680 SoC that is paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

On the front, it sports a 6.58 inch LCD panel that has a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It also has an 8 megapixel front facing camera. On the rear, the T1x features a triple camera setup that includes a 50 megapixel primary sensor, and two 2 megapixel shooters. Under the hood, a large 5,000mAh battery pack powers the device, which also supports 18W fast charging as well.

Other features include dual SIM support, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Multi Turbo 5.0, Type-C, 4GB Virtual RAM expansion, and a side mounted fingerprint scanner. The Vivo T1x runs on the Android 12 OS based Funtouch OS 12 and was launched in the Phillippines in two color options, namely Gravity Black and Space Blue. Unfortunately, the exact launch date is currently unknown, but it is expected to be right around the corner, so stay tuned for more updates.

Chinese handset maker vivo is all set to debut a new lineup of smartphones called vivo T series. One of the models in the lineup recently appeared on JD. Now, a leaker reveals a few details about the first two models in the new series.

According to Digital Chat Station, vivo will be launching two devices in the vivo T series initially. These handsets will be called vivo T1 and vivo T1x respectively. The latter will be a cheaper variant of the former.

As per him, the vivo T1 series will be available in the following memory configurations and color options.

Unfortunately, the tipster did not expose anything else other than the above-mentioned details. But since the devices are rumored to launch ahead of Double Eleven (singles’ day) shopping festival, we expect vivo to start teasing the phone very soon.

Going by the previous reports, the vivo T series will succeed the now discontinued vivo Z series. It will be targeted at male youth who crave performance. These smartphones are said to cost around ¥2,000-¥2,500.
