<p>Last year, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Vivo/">Vivo </a>debuted the Vivo T1 series in India. The lineup includes three models, namely Vivo T1, Vivo T1 44W, and Vivo T1x.</p>

<p>All of these smartphones are rebranded iQOO Z6 devices, which also follow the same nomenclature. They are called iQOO Z6, iQOO Z6 44W, and iQOO Z6x.</p>

<p>Now, as iQOO Z7 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/21/india-exclusive-iqoo-z7-5g-goes-on-sale-today-in-india-with-rs-17499-starting-price-checkout-offers/">has been released</a> in India, a report says that the Vivo T2 series will follow soon in the country. But unlike its predecessor, the Vivo T2 lineup will be different from the iQOO Z7 family.</p>

<p>According to <a href="https://pricebaba.com/blog/vivo-t2-series-india-launch-timeframe-price-and-key-details-emerge"><em>PriceBaba</em></a>, the Vivo T2 series will launch in India by mid-April. The publication states that there will be two devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek Dimensity chipsets.</p>

<p>The exact names of these phones are not known but they are expected to go by Vivo T2 and Vivo T2x. Both of them will be priced below ₹20,000 in the country.</p>

<p>These two handsets<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/10/vivo-t2-5g-snapdragon-695/"> were s</a><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/10/vivo-t2x-global-launch-near-google-play-console/">potted</a> on Google Play Console listings a few weeks back. The duo will arrive with an FHD+ display sporting a dewdrop notch and Android 13.</p>

<p>The Vivo T2 (V2222) will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, while the Vivo T2x will house a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip. The latter model will likely be the most affordable of the two.</p>

<p>We are looking forward to official teasers from the brand in the coming days. Until then, let us know your thoughts on these upcoming phones in the comment section below.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo </a>is planning on launching a new T series smartphone, which will be the success to its T1 model. The device in question will likely be called the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-t2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo T2 5G</a> and is expected to launch soon after being spotted getting certified online.</p>

<p>The upcoming mid range smartphone was recently spotted on the Google Play Console, which confirms its specifications. Looking at the online listing, the T2 5G will feature the V2222 model number. Furthermore, it is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is oddly the same processor that the T1 5G featured last year. This processor comes with the Adreno 619 GPU and will likely be paired with at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Vivo-T2-5G-V2222-Google-Play-Console.webp?x44794" alt="Vivo" class="wp-image-514685" width="453" height="504" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Vivo-T2-5G-V2222-Google-Play-Console.webp 707w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Vivo-T2-5G-V2222-Google-Play-Console-270x300.webp 270w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Vivo-T2-5G-V2222-Google-Play-Console-696x774.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Vivo-T2-5G-V2222-Google-Play-Console-378x420.webp 378w" sizes="(max-width: 453px) 100vw, 453px" /></figure></div>

<p>The listing revealed that the smartphone will run on Android 13 OS out of the box, which will arrive with the Funtouch OS 13 custom skin on top. It will also sport a Full HD+ display, with what appears to be a waterdrop notch on the front. Unfortunately, this is all the information that was shared on the certification. Considering how this model had surfaced on the Google Play Console, the device will likely be launching soon. So stick around for more as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this device.</p>

Today, the company took to its Weibo handle to state that the Vivo T2’s announcement has been further delayed.</p>
<p>It is unclear why Vivo has been delaying the Vivo T2’s launch. Some reports had claimed that the company may have postponed its launch due to a resurgence of COVID cases in the country. The<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-t2x/"> Vivo T2x</a> and Vivo T2 were expected to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/05/26/vivo-t2x-launch-june-6-dimensity-1300-6000mah-battery/">launch together</a> on June 6. However, the company <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/05/29/vivo-t2x-launched-china-dimensity-1300-6000mah-more/">unveiled the Vivo T2x</a> without any fanfare.</p>

<p>Vivo will soon confirm the new launch date for the Vivo T2. It is likely that the company may announce the T2 later this month in China. Rumors have it that the T2 will be a rebranded version of the IQOO Neo 6 SE, which went official in China last month.</p>

It will come preinstalled with Android 12 OS with FunTouch OS 12.</p>

<p>Due to force majeure, the Vivo T2 5G launch event has been postponed to 7 PM (local time) on June 6 in China. <p><strong>Original story continues&#8230;</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/20/vivo-t1-5g-snapdragon-778g-soc-unveiled-vivo-t1x-5g/">Last year, in October</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo">Vivo</a> announced the Snapdragon 778G powered Vivo T1 5G smartphone in China. It debuted as the company’s first-ever T-series smartphone. Now, the company is reportedly working on its successor. A reliable tipster from China has tipped the launch date of the Vivo T2.</p>
<p>Earlier this month, a publication spotted the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/05/09/vivo-t2-model-spotted-on-imei-could-launch-soon/">IMEI database listing</a> of the Vivo T2. The listing only revealed the name of the device and hinted that it may debut soon. It is also expected to carry support for 5G connectivity. According to tipster <a href="https://weibo.com/6734482564/LtivF2IkF?pagetype=profilefeed">Bald is Panda</a>, the Vivo T2 will be announced on May 23 in China. Unfortunately, there is no information available on the specs of the device.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_419917" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-419917" style="width: 1050px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-419917" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Vivo-T1.png?x44794" alt="Vivo T1" width="1050" height="750" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Vivo-T1.png 1050w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Vivo-T1-300x214.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Vivo-T1-768x549.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Vivo-T1-1024x731.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Vivo-T1-100x70.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Vivo-T1-696x497.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Vivo-T1-588x420.png 588w" sizes="(max-width: 1050px) 100vw, 1050px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-419917" class="wp-caption-text">Vivo T1 5G (China variant)</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>With nearly a week remaining for the rumored launch, it is advisable to wait for further reports to reveal more details about the smartphone. Vivo has recently confirmed that it will be launching the Vivo S15 and S15 Pro smartphones on May 19 in China. If the company really plans to announce the Vivo T2 on May 23, an official confirmation on the launch date may soon appear in the next few days.</p>
<h3><strong>Vivo T1 5G specifications</strong></h3>
<p>The Vivo T1 5G featured a 6.67-inch LCD display that offered a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It came preinstalled with Android 11 OS and OriginOS. For selfies, it came with a 16-megapixel camera and its back panel housed a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-778G">Snapdragon 778G</a> chipset powered device came equipped with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. It housed a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. For security, it offered a side-facing fingerprint scanner.</p>

But now, a new sighting has revealed that the company is already working on a successor.</p>
<p>An IMEI database listing has revealed that the Chinese smartphone maker is working on a new Vivo T2. The news arrives from a <a href="https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/vivo-t2-visits-imei-database-launch-imminent/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>91Mobiles</em> </a>report, who found the device listed online. Although, the database did not include the model number for this handset. So, it is unclear if the variant is targeted for the global market or the Chinese market. But it is likely a Chinese version, since the brand typically launches its new lineup in its home market first. Similarly, the Indian launch for the Vivo T2 could also be just around the corner as well.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-459110 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Vivo-T1-5G-black-Indonesia.png?x44794" alt="Vivo T1 5G" width="1220" height="760" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Vivo-T1-5G-black-Indonesia.png 1220w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Vivo-T1-5G-black-Indonesia-300x187.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Vivo-T1-5G-black-Indonesia-768x478.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Vivo-T1-5G-black-Indonesia-1024x638.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Vivo-T1-5G-black-Indonesia-696x434.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Vivo-T1-5G-black-Indonesia-1068x665.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Vivo-T1-5G-black-Indonesia-674x420.png 674w" sizes="(max-width: 1220px) 100vw, 1220px" /></p>
<p>At the moment, the base T2 is the only model that was spotted on the IMEI database, but we can expect to see additional models within the T1 successor series to surface on other certification websites soon as well. Unfortunately, the specifications of the smartphone is still at large, but it is likely to be a 5G enabled handset that comes with better specifications than its predecessors. That is all the information we have as of right now so stick around for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.</p>
