Vivo has reduced the prices of its budget-friendly Vivo T3x 5G smartphone in India by ₹1,000 across all variants. Launched in April last year as part of the T series, the device now offers even more value for users seeking affordable 5G options.

The revised pricing positions the 4GB + 128GB variant at ₹12,499, the 6GB + 128GB variant at ₹13,999, and the 8GB + 128GB model at ₹15,499. Customers can purchase the smartphone at these new rates through vivo India’s e-store, Flipkart, and authorized retail outlets.

Vivo T3x 5G features

The Vivo T3x 5G has a 6.72-inch Full HD+ display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1000 nits. Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 mobile platform and Adreno 710 GPU, the device comes with three RAM options—4GB, 6GB, and 8GB—and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1TB.

Running Android 14 with FuntouchOS 14, the phone features a 50MP primary rear camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front camera. Notably, the 8GB RAM variant supports 4K video recording. The Vivo T3x also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Vivo T3x finally went official in India earlier today (17th April 2024). This model arrives nearly a month after the company announced the Vivo T3 in the region. The two smartphones are a part of the same lineup and have similar names but feature some notable differences like specs and pricing. So here’s everything you need to know.

Vivo T3x

Display: Similar yet so very different

The Vivo T3 and T3x features similarly sized displays. The former has a 6.67-inch screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1800 nits of peak brightness, while the latter has a taller 6.72-inch display that also features Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness.

However, a major difference is the panel itself, with the T3 offering an AMOLED screen and the T3 featuring an LCD panel. With the T3x being a slightly more affordable device, it is no surprise that there are some areas where the brand saved on cost.

Processors: Snapdragon & Dimensity

The processor in the two devices is another major difference. The Vivo T3x comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, while the Vivo T3 model features the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. Storage configuration on the two phones differ as well. The T3 tops out at 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the T3x only offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Battery: One outclasses the other

Vivo’s T3 series appears identical from the front, with rounded corners, minimal bezels, and a center aligned punch hole cutout. But the rear has them look completely unlike each other. The newly launched Vivo T3x features a circular camera module that houses the dual camera sensors and LED flash on the large camera island. Meanwhile, the T3 features vertically stacked sensors on a rectangular module. Vivo’s T3 and T3x arrive with an IP rating for protection as well. But the Vivo T3 offers an IP64 rating, and the T3x comes with a lower IP54 rating.

Lastly, there’s the pricing of the two models. The Vivo T3 launched in India for a starting price tag of 19,999 INR, going up to 21,999 INR for the higher storage capacity. Vivo’s latest T3x model was launched to fill the segment right below the T3 and arrives with a more affordable 13,499 INR starting price tag. It is also worth noting that the first sale of the T3x will kick off on 24th April 2024.

Vivo has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, the T3x 5G, in India. This follows the recent launch of the T3 in the country last month. The T3x 5G boasts several impressive features for its price range, including a large battery, a smooth display, and a capable camera system. Let’s check out its specifications.

The T3x 5G features a large 6.72-inch FHD+ (2408×1080) LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 91.48% screen-to-body ratio, and 393 PPI pixel density. The phone boasts a peak brightness of 1000 nits, making it viewable even in bright outdoor conditions.

Under the hood, the T3x 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, built on a 4nm process. This processor is claimed to achieve an AnTuTu score of over 561250+, making it a strong contender in the budget segment.

The phone comes in configurations with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM, along with 128GB of inbuilt storage. You can virtually expand the RAM up to 8GB (depending upon variants), and the storage can be extended up to 1TB using a microSD card.

However, a new microsite listing went live on Flipkart before the launch, showcasing some of its key specs and hinting at its specs. The new smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and it will be priced under the 15,000 INR mark.

The official teaser states that the Vivo T3x could start from “Rs 12,XXX” in India when paired with bank offers. At this price range, it is an affordable mid range model and could cost somewhere between 13,999 INR and 14,999 INR. The upcoming smartphone is powered by a massive 6,000mAh battery pack, with the brand claiming that it’s the slimmest phone in its segment despite its large battery capacity.

According to the brand, the Vivo T3x 5G will pack a massive 6,000mAh battery. The brand has already confirmed that the Vivo T3x 5G will retail for less than Rs 15,000 in India. The Galaxy M15 5G and the Galaxy F15 5G are the only other phones in the country with a 6,000mAh battery in the same price category.

Even the upcoming Moto G64 is said to pack the same-sized battery. The device has confirmed its support for 33W fast charging. The above-mentioned Samsung phones offer 25W fast charging. Vivo is yet to confirm the fast charging capabilities of the T3x. However, it appears that Vivo may also opt for a faster charging solution.

With a thickness of only 7.99mm, the Vivo T3x 5G will be the slimmest phone with a 6,000mAh battery. The T3x will feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. It has also confirmed that it will come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The Vivo T3x 5G will be available in two shades, such as Celestial Green and Crimson Bliss. Despite advertising the phone as under Rs 15,000 (~$179), the brand asserts that its 8GB+128GB edition will cost under Rs 17,000 (~$203). This indicates that there could be multiple variants of the phone.

Vivo is gearing up for the launch of the Vivo T3x 5G smartphone in the Indian market. The launch date is set for April 17, and the brand has already revealed a few key details including what the device looks like.

The brand has now confirmed the processor, RAM, and storage, as well as its price point and performance numbers. Starting with the processor, Vivo has unveiled that the T3x 5G smartphone comes with the Snapdragon Gen 1 chipset, which is built on TSMC’s 4nm process and features an octa-core CPU. Based on the numbers revealed on the Flipkart microsite, the device has scored 560K points on AnTuTu V10, where the device was tested with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The Flipkart microsite listing also revealed that the phone will be priced under the INR 17,000 price point, which makes sense considering the fact that the Vivo T3 5G launched last month with a Rs 17,999 price tag.

Apart from that, the Vivo T3x 5G has also emerged on Geekbench (via MySmartPrice), achieving a score of 946 in single-core and 2839 in multi-core tests. Its Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip has a base frequency of 1.80GHz and a boost clock speed of 2.21GHz. The listing has also revealed that the device will feature an Android 14-based operating system.

Previous reports have mentioned that the device will feature a large 6,000mAh battery unit with support for 44W. More details will likely be revealed as we get closer to the launch date, so stay tuned.
