We already know that iQOO is working on a new iQOO 11s smartphone model. But now, a new leak has revealed another key detail regarding the upcoming 11 series device that will likely launch sometime next month. So let’s have a look.

iQOO 11s will reportedly skip the V2 ISP over an independent display chip

The latest information arrives from known tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared the details on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). In the online post, the tipster added that the iQOO 11s will take on the likes of the Realme GT Neo 5 Pro, Redmi K60 Ultra, and OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in the market. He further added that the iQOO 11s will not feature the Vivo V2 ISP, which its prototype model featured. Rather, the production model will be equipped with a dedicated display chip.

Apart from this, Digital Chat Station even revealed certain key specs regarding the iQOO 11s. The device will sport a tall 6.78 inch 2K E6 AMOLED display that has 144Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it will feature a Sony IMX866V primary camera on the back as well as 200W fast charging rate support. The camera on the rear is the 50 megapixel shooter, while the smartphone is expected to be powered by a 4,700mAh battery pack.

Other notable features include, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC. Based on what we know so far, the device will launch sometime in early July, with its first sale likely kicking off by 8th July 2023. So stick around for more updates regarding this handset that will be the latest entry in the iQOO 11 series.

After the initial delay, iQOO has finally launched the iQOO 11 series of flagship smartphones in its domestic Chinese market. The series consists of two models – the iQOO 11 and the iQOO 11 Pro. So, let’s take a look at the devices in more detail.

iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro specs & features

Both phones use the identical 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display, which supports a 144Hz refresh rate and has a 2K resolution. The key distinction is that the vanilla model’s display is flat, while the 11 Pro 5G’s screen is curved. The front camera has a hole-punch cutout in the upper center. The device also has 1440Hz PWM dimming and HDR10+ certification.

Both phones have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC onboard, coupled with quad-channel LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Both of the devices offer a virtual RAM expansion feature of up to 8GB. Additionally, they include the brand-new V2 customized Image Signal Processor (ISP) created by Vivo. The custom ISP is said to provide improved performance when taking portrait photos or filming videos in low light. Both phones include a triple-camera configuration on the back; however, the sensors onboard are different.

It is highly likely that Vivo might officially announce or hint at the launch date of the X90 series at this event. The upcoming lineup is expected to carry three devices – Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro plus. These devices will succeed the highly acclaimed Vivo X80 series which is widely praised for its excellent camera performance, partly made possible by the Vivo V1+ ISP chip. After the Chinese launch, the X90 series is also expected to arrive in the global markets to butt heads against flagships like the iPhone 14 series, the Pixel 7 series, the upcoming Xiaomi 13 series, and the Oppo Find X6 series.

Currently, not much is known about the Vivo X90 series, however, it is almost certain that the devices in the lineup will run the latest Snapdragon/ Dimensity flagship chipsets. These will be the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and the Dimensity 9200 SoC.

The top-of-the-line Vivo X90 Pro Plus is rumored to feature the Dimensity 9200 chipset and a 1-inch camera sensor, in conjunction with an ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and the V2 ISP chip. Earlier rumors have also stated that we might see a curved AMOLED LTPO display with a Quad HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz on the X90 Pro Plus. A 5000mAh battery unit with 100W fast charging is also expected to be on board with the device.
