<p>We shared that the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/06/15/vivo-released-vivo-v40-with-80w-charging-but-no-charger-in-the-box/"> vivo V40 launched in Europe</a> in our previous article. We emphasize &#8220;once again&#8221; that <strong>vivo V40 Lite</strong> does not come with a charger, as the <strong>regular vivo V40</strong> also lacked a charging adapter in the box. It seems Vivo is preparing to completely remove the charging adapter from both entry-level and mid-range devices in the global market.</p>

<p><strong>vivo V40 Lite</strong> actually shares similar specs with <strong>vivo V30e</strong>, which is a phone already available in India. Essentially, we can consider <strong>vivo V40 Lite</strong> as the<strong> European variant</strong> and the <strong>V30e</strong> as the<strong> Indian variant</strong>. However, while <strong>vivo V40 Lite </strong>does not come with a charger in Europe, the <strong>vivo V30e</strong> greets Indian users with one in the box. It’s clear that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/">Vivo</a> is taking an interesting step with its entry-level and mid-range devices recently.</p>

<h2>vivo V40 Lite specs</h2>

<p>vivo V40 Lite is equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. It features a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display (2400 x 1080 resolution) with 120 Hz support. The phone comes out of the box with Android 14-based FuntouchOS.</p>

The phone is available in Brown and White color options. Compared to the regular vivo V40, the vivo V40 Lite offers slightly lower performance due to its Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo-v40-lite/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo V40 Lite</a> is an upcoming mid-range smartphone that is set to launch soon. This model was recently spotted on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/04/28/vivo-v40-lite-bluetooth-sig-gcf/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bluetooth SIG and GCF</a> certification, and now, a fresh leak has revealed more details regarding its specifications and design. So let&#8217;s check it out.</p>

<h2>Vivo V40 Lite Leak: Everything you need to know</h2>

<p>The news arrives from known tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore who shared the information with <em><a href="https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/exclusive-vivo-v40-lite-global-variant-price-design-specs-revealed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">91Mobiles</a></em>. Vivo&#8217;s new V40 Lite had also surfaced on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/01/02/vivo-v40-lite-5g-v2337-registered-in-imei-database/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">IMEI </a>database. However, these certification sightings did not reveal any notable details. But this latest report has revealed the full specs along with the complete design. This is the global variant of the V40 Lite, which could be the model that is released in the European market. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-1024x576.webp?x44794" alt="Vivo V40 Lite" class="wp-image-630772" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-747x420.webp 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite.webp 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Looking at the leaked images, the Vivo V40 Lite appears to have a curved edge design with slim bezels and a center aligned punch hole cutout. Meanwhile, the rear packs a large circular camera island that houses the Aura ring LED light. The volume rockers and power buttons are situated on the right edge. Its middle frame appears to be made of plastic materials. We can see that the device is available in at least two color options, namely White and Maroon.</p>

<p>The leak claims that the Vivo V40 Lite may sport a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For optics, the rear features a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor. The front houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-2-1024x576.webp?x44794" alt="Vivo V40 Lite" class="wp-image-630773" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-2-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-2-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-2-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-2-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-2-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-2-747x420.webp 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Vivo-V40-Lite-2.webp 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>A large 5,500mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 44W wired fast charging. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, IP64 water and dust resistance, and 8GB virtual RAM expansion support. This device will likely run on the Android 14 OS based FunTouch OS custom skin out of the box.</p>

<p>In the beginning months of 2024, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/">Vivo</a> launched the Vivo V30 5G and the Vivo V30 Pro 5G in different markets. The brand recently confirmed that it will announce the Vivo V30e phone on May 2 in India. While it is busy expanding the V30 series, rumors suggest it is also working on the V40 series. Last month, Vivo unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/27/vivo-v40-se-5g-launch-specs/">Vivo V40 SE 5G,</a> equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2chip, in Europe. Fresh developments suggest that Vivo is also working on the Vivo V40 Lite.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo V40 Lite receives important certifications</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="436" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-Bluetooth-SIG.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo V40 Lite Bluetooth SIG" class="wp-image-621651" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-Bluetooth-SIG.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-Bluetooth-SIG-300x145.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-Bluetooth-SIG-768x372.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-Bluetooth-SIG-696x337.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-Bluetooth-SIG-867x420.jpg 867w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Vivo V40 Lite Bluetooth SIG listing</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Vivo V40 Lite bearing the V2341 model number has appeared in Bluetooth SIG’s database. The listing reveals that the device will support Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="697" height="481" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF.png?x44794" alt="Vivo V40 Lite GCF" class="wp-image-621652" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF.png 697w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF-300x207.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF-218x150.png 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF-609x420.png 609w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF-100x70.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 697px) 100vw, 697px" /><figcaption>Vivo V40 Lite GCF listing</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Additionally, earlier this month, the V40 Lite with the same model number was spotted in the database of the Global Certification Forum (GCF). Interestingly, the Bluetooth and GCF listings do not mention “5G” in the moniker of the device. However, the GCF certification reveals that the device will support n1 / n2 / n3 / n5 / n8 / n20 / n28 / n38 / n40 / n41 / n66 / n77 / n78 5G bands.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="697" height="481" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF.png?x44794" alt="Vivo V40 Lite GCF" class="wp-image-621652" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF.png 697w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF-300x207.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF-218x150.png 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF-609x420.png 609w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Vivo-V40-Lite-GCF-100x70.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 697px) 100vw, 697px" /><figcaption>Vivo V40 Lite GCF listing</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The other specifications of the Vivo V40 Lite are under wraps. Devices that emerge in Bluetooth SIG’s database are known to go official in around one month. Hence, it is likely that the V40 Lite may break cover in May or early June. It will reveal that the device will succeed the V30 Lite, which <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/12/29/vivo-v30-lite-5g-launched-as-the-first-v30-series-phone-read-specifications-price/">debuted in December 2023</a>.</p>

<p>The Vivo V30 Lite has a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen integrated with a fingerprint sensor. It has the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-695">Snapdragon 695</a> chip, 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 4,800mAh battery with 44W fast charging. The device runs on Android 13 with a layer of FunTouch OS 13 on top. It has a 50-megapixel front-facing camera, and its back panel has a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit.</p>

<p>MWC 2024 is scheduled for February 26-29. However, most smartphones will likely go official ahead of that. Gone are the days when Mobile World Congress used to be the destination of hot new phone releases.</p>

<p>Around 12 brands are expected to announce new phones. Only a couple of them fall under the premium category. While the rest of them are either mid-rangers or budget models.</p>

<p>Almost all of these handsets will be unveiled for global markets. The companies that will debut new smartphones are Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, iQOO, Nothing, HMD, Honor, Tecno, Infinix, and Itel.</p>

<p>Let’s check out these devices one by one.</p>

<h2><strong>Upcoming Smartphones in February 2024</strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 14 Ultra</strong></h3>

<p>The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/01/30/xiaomi-14-ultra-again-tipped-to-launch-by-february-end/">tipped to launch</a> by the end of February at either MWC or earlier. Unlike its predecessors, it is expected to see a wider global release.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="536" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-14-Ultra-Hands-on-1-1024x536.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi 14 Ultra Hands on -1" class="wp-image-596347" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-14-Ultra-Hands-on-1-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-14-Ultra-Hands-on-1-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-14-Ultra-Hands-on-1-768x402.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-14-Ultra-Hands-on-1-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-14-Ultra-Hands-on-1-1068x559.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-14-Ultra-Hands-on-1-803x420.jpg 803w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Xiaomi-14-Ultra-Hands-on-1.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
