<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v70-elite/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo V70 Elite</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/iqoo-15r/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iQOO 15R</a> have entered the Indian market with flagship-level features and competitive pricing. Both devices cater to premium users, but each smartphone targets a different audience. Here’s a detailed comparison of the two devices based on design, display, performance, cameras, and pricing.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1024x640-1.png?x44794" alt="Vivo V70 Elite" class="wp-image-727857" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1024x640-1.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1024x640-1-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1024x640-1-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1024x640-1-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1024x640-1-672x420.png 672w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Design and Build Quality</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo</a> V70 Elite focuses on elegance and comfort. It features a flat-edge design with an aerospace-grade metal frame and ultra-narrow bezels. The phone is designed to fit comfortably in one hand, thanks to its Golden Grip size. It comes in colors like Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black, adding a premium look.</p>

<p>The iQOO 15R takes a performance-oriented approach to design. It uses Schott Shield glass for added durability and comes in two colors: Dark Knight with a matte black finish and Triumph Silver with a patterned back exclusive to India. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/iqoo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iQOO</a> 15R is slightly thicker and heavier than the Vivo V70 Elite, but it maintains a modern and sturdy build.</p>

<p>Both devices have IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The Vivo V70 Elite appeals to users who prefer a sophisticated design, while the iQOO 15R is better suited for gamers and those looking for a robust build.</p>

<h3><strong>Display</strong></h3>

<p>The Vivo V70 Elite and iQOO 15R feature 6.59-inch AMOLED displays with a resolution of 2750 x 1260 pixels. However, there are differences in refresh rates and display features.</p>

<p>The Vivo V70 Elite comes with a 120Hz flat AMOLED display that offers a peak brightness of 5000 nits. It supports 4320Hz PWM dimming, making it ideal for content consumption with vibrant colors and smooth animations.</p>

<p>The iQOO 15R also features a flat OLED panel, but with a higher 144Hz refresh rate and a 3200Hz touch sampling rate. It also supports 5000 nits peak brightness, DC-like dimming, and offers a faster touch response, making it better for gaming.</p>

<h3><strong>Performance and Software</strong></h3>

<p>The Vivo V70 Elite is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It includes a 4200mm² VC cooling system and supports features like 4D game vibration for enhanced gaming.</p>

<p>The iQOO 15R takes performance a step further with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. It comes with the Q2 gaming chip and supports up to 144 FPS gaming and features advanced cooling systems, including a 6500mm² VC cooling panel and dual-layer graphite sheets. The iQOO 15R also includes a network enhancement chip for improved connectivity.</p>

<p>Both devices run Android 16 with OriginOS 6. iQOO 15R performs better for gamers and power users, while the Vivo V70 Elite handles multitasking and general use efficiently.</p>

<h3><strong>Cameras</strong></h3>

<p>The Vivo V70 Elite focuses heavily on photography. It uses Zeiss optics with a 50MP Zeiss night telephoto camera, a 50MP Zeiss OIS main camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom and up to 100X digital zoom. The phone includes AI-powered features like AI Holi Portrait, making it ideal for low-light and detailed photography.</p>

<p>The iQOO 15R has a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP front camera. While the iQOO 15R delivers good picture quality, it does not match the telephoto and low-light capabilities of the Vivo V70 Elite.</p>

<p>For photography enthusiasts, the Vivo V70 Elite is the better choice. The iQOO 15R offers decent cameras but prioritizes performance over photography.</p>

<h3><strong>Battery and Charging</strong></h3>

<p>The iQOO 15R includes a 7600mAh battery with 100W FlashCharge support. The phone can charge up to 50% in 33 minutes. It uses advanced silicon anode and semi-solid-state battery technology, which improves durability and performance.</p>

<p>The Vivo V70 Elite has a slightly smaller 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. While it offers good battery life, it does not charge as quickly as the iQOO 15R or provide the same level of durability.</p>

<p>The iQOO 15R is the better option for users who need long battery life and fast charging.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing and Value</strong></h3>

<p>The Vivo V70 Elite starts at ₹51,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 256GB model costs ₹56,999, and the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at ₹61,999.</p>

<p>The iQOO 15R starts at ₹44,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 256GB model is priced at ₹47,999, and the 12GB + 512GB model costs ₹52,999.</p>

<p>The iQOO 15R offers better value for money, especially for gamers and performance enthusiasts. The Vivo V70 Elite justifies its price with premium design and superior cameras.</p>

<h3><strong>Verdict</strong></h3>

<p>The Vivo V70 Elite is the better choice for users who prioritize design, photography, and an immersive display. Its Zeiss optics and sleek build make it ideal for lifestyle users.</p>

<p>The iQOO 15R is the better option for gamers and performance-oriented users. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 144Hz display, and fast charging deliver excellent performance at a competitive price.</p>

<p>Both devices excel in their respective areas, but the iQOO 15R offers better overall value for most users.</p>

<h2>ZEISS Camera System with Multi-Focal Portrait</h2>

<p>The main highlight is the ZEISS co-engineered camera system. Both devices include a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor with NICE 2.0 Lite processing. It supports up to 10x zoom and is paired with a large 1.3cm sensor for better low-light shots and more detail. The primary camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-700V sensor with optical image stabilization for sharper photos and smoother videos in different lighting conditions. On the front, both phones feature a 50MP ZEISS group selfie camera with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="V70 and V70 Elite" class="wp-image-727533" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-1536x768.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-2048x1024.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-1920x960.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/v70-blog-assets-3-840x420.jpg 840w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The ZEISS Multi-Focal Portrait system allows users to shoot portraits at different focal lengths. These include 23mm landscape portraits with hexagonal bokeh, 35mm street portraits with triangular bokeh flares, 50mm classic portraits with swirling bokeh, 85mm figure portraits with soft cinematic blur, and 100mm close-up portraits with leaf-like bokeh effects.</p>

<p>Video recording supports 4K at 60fps on both the front and rear cameras with zoom clarity at 1x, 2x, and 3x levels. Vivo also added AI Audio Noise Eraser, which identifies voices, wind, music, and background noise to improve sound quality in recordings.</p>

<h2>AI Photography Features</h2>

<p>The phones include several AI photography tools designed for everyday use. India-exclusive AI Holi Portrait maintains natural skin tones in color-heavy scenes. AI Magic Weather can change skies with effects like morning glow, clear sky, evening glow, and twilight. AI Floral Blessing adds animated flower petals to portraits. AI Magic Landscape improves travel photos using scene detection and color optimization. AI Creativity Style adds artistic looks such as cyber, oil blend, animation, and fireworks without using third-party apps.</p>

<h2>Performance and Gaming Capabilities</h2>

<p>Performance is different between the two models. The Vivo V70 Elite runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 built on a 4nm process with a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz and an AnTuTu score of 1.89 million. It supports up to 90fps gaming. The standard V70 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with 27 percent faster CPU performance, 30 percent better GPU performance, and 26 percent higher gaming efficiency compared to the previous generation. Both phones use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. A 4200mm² vapor chamber cooling system helps maintain stable performance. The Elite version also includes an X-axis linear motor and 4D gaming vibration for better haptic feedback.</p>

<h3><strong>Two models</strong></h3>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo</a> has divided the lineup into two distinct tiers. The standard Vivo V70 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It targets performance-conscious users in the upper midrange category. In contrast, the Vivo V70 Elite debuts as the first V-series phone powered by a Snapdragon 8-series processor; the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.</p>

<p>Geekbench scores for the Elite show 1,973 points in single-core and 4,863 points in multi-core tests. The phone includes 12GB of RAM and will ship with Android 16 and OriginOS 6. Vivo has confirmed four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches for the series.</p>

<h3><strong>Display and design</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1024x640.png?x44794" alt="Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite" class="wp-image-726258" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-and-V70-Elite.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Vivo claims the phones have the narrowest bezels in their price segment, measuring just 1.25 mm. The design introduces a flat-edge frame and a new square camera module. The V70 will come in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow, while the V70 Elite adds Sand Beige and Authentic Black to the mix.</p>

<h3><strong>Cameras</strong></h3>

<p>Both the V70 and V70 Elite feature a 50MP main camera using the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/sony/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sony</a> IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization. They also include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with the Sony IMX882 sensor, supporting 3x optical and up to 100x digital zoom. The rear setup is completed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.</p>

<p>The front camera is a 50MP unit with a 92° field of view and supports seamless zoom between 0.8x and 2x. ZEISS has co-developed all camera modules.</p>

<p>Vivo also adds a range of AI photography features, including AI Magic Weather, AI Audio Noise Eraser, and AI Petal Shower Portrait. The India-exclusive AI Holi Portrait will be available from February 19 to March 15.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo V70 Elite Geekbench listing</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="865" height="1158" data-id="725848" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench.png?x44794" alt="Vivo V70 Elite Geekbench" class="wp-image-725848" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench.png 865w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench-224x300.png 224w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench-765x1024.png 765w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench-768x1028.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench-696x932.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench-314x420.png 314w" sizes="(max-width: 865px) 100vw, 865px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="660" height="936" data-id="725847" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench-.png?x44794" alt="Vivo V70 Elite Geekbench-" class="wp-image-725847" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench-.png 660w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench--212x300.png 212w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-V70-Elite-Geekbench--296x420.png 296w" sizes="(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>The Geekbench database lists the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v70-elite">Vivo V70 Elite</a> with the model number V2548. As per the listing, the device is powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8s-gen-3">Snapdragon 8s Gen 3</a> chipset, paired with an octa-core CPU configuration comprising three performance cores clocked at 2.02GHz, four cores running at 2.80GHz, and a prime core operating at up to 3.01GHz. Graphics duties are handled by the Adreno 735 GPU. The benchmark entry also confirms 12GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box.</p>

<p>In terms of scores, the handset recorded 1,973 points in the single-core test and 4,863 points in the multi-core test. These results are in line with what is typically expected from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 platform and indicate consistent flagship-level performance.</p>

<p>The inclusion of this chipset is not a surprise, as Vivo has already confirmed the processor through its official microsite. In fact, the V70 Elite will be the company’s first V-series phone to feature a Snapdragon 8-series chip.</p>

<p>The standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v70/">Vivo V70</a> has also been spotted on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/13/vivo-v70-geekbench-snapdragon-7-gen-4/">Geekbench</a> recently. While Vivo has not officially revealed its chipset, the benchmark listing suggested that it will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-4">Snapdragon 7 Gen 4</a> processor, the same chip that also powered the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v60">Vivo V60</a>.</p>

<h3>1. Samsung Galaxy S26 series</h3>

<p><strong>Launch date:</strong> February 25, 2026 (expected)</p>

<p>This is one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of 2026. While the official launch date is still under wraps, strong leaks suggest a February 25 launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event.</p>

<p>The company will unveil the main trio at the upcoming event: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The remaining models, such as the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 FE, if planned, may launch later this year.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-1024x683.jpg?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-709900" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Galaxy S26 Ultra color options (leaked image)</figcaption></figure></a></div>

<p>Based on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-s26/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">past leaks</a>, we aren’t expecting significant upgrades to the Galaxy S26 series, but refinements across display, camera hardware, and bigger batteries. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ will reportedly feature the Exynos 2600 in some markets, including India, while the S26 Ultra will only come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. These will be the first phones to run One UI 8.5 software, based on Android 16.</p>

<ul><li><strong>Launch date (iQOO 15 Ultra):</strong> February 4, 2026 — China</li><li><strong>Launch date (iQOO 15R):</strong> February 24, 2026 — India</li></ul>

<p>iQOO will unveil its top-tier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iqoo-15-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iQOO 15 Ultra</a> in China in the first week of February. The phone is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, a large LTPO AMOLED screen with 2K resolution, and three 50MP sensors on the back. It could house a 7,400mAh battery capacity with 100W wireless charging support. Some leaks say the wired charging speed could be up to 200W.</p>

<p>The leaked spec sheet for the iQOO 15 Ultra sounds pretty powerful, so I’m excited to see how it performs in real life. After this launch, we’ll see the brand unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iqoo-15r/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iQOO 15R</a> in India, a premium mid-range phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This phone could offer an even larger battery at 7,600 mAh with 100W fast charging support.</p>

<p>Recent reports have revealed that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo">Vivo</a> is gearing up to launch the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite smartphones in India. So far, the rumor mill has been leaking details in bits and pieces. The latest development sheds light on the chipset and a few key specifications of both phones.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo V70 Elite to feature Snapdragon 8-series chip</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="585" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo S50 launch" class="wp-image-719445" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50-300x171.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50-768x439.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50-696x398.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50-735x420.jpg 735w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Vivo S50</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v70-elite">Vivo V70 Elite</a> will reportedly become the first-ever V-series smartphone to feature a Snapdragon 8-series chipset. According to a report by <em>SmartPrix</em>, the V70 Elite will be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8s-gen-3">Snapdragon 8s Gen 3</a> SoC.</p>

<p>In addition to the flagship-grade chipset, the Vivo V70 Elite is expected to come with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It is also said to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and support a 4D in-game vibration system for enhanced haptics. Reports further suggest that the V70 Elite could be a rebranded or slightly tweaked version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-s50/">Vivo S50</a>, which debuted in China in December 2025.</p>

<p>The Vivo S50 features a 6.59-inch OLED LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also integrates an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.</p>

<p>In terms of cameras, the Vivo S50 packs a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus support. On the rear, it houses a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with OIS support.</p>

<p>The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8s-gen-3"> </a>chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Additional features include a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and an IP68/IP69-rated body for dust and water resistance.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo V70 chipset revealed</strong></h3>

<p>The same report also reveals that the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v70/">Vivo V70</a> will be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-4">Snapdragon 7 Gen 4</a> chipset, which was first seen on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v60/">Vivo V60</a> last year. The device is expected to feature LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. However, the rest of the specifications of the Vivo V70 remain a mystery for now.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo V70 series launch timeframe (rumored)</strong></h3>

<p>The publication states that the Vivo V70 series is likely to debut in India by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/14/vivo-v70-v70-elite-india-launch-tipped-for-feb-with-zeiss-optics-snapdragon-chips/">mid-February</a>. <p>The successor to the Vivo V60 series is arriving soon. But ahead of any official announcement, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v70/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo V70</a> and Vivo V70 Elite just surfaced in a fresh leak that revealed their expected India launch timeline and some key features. So here are all the details.</p>

<h2>Vivo V70, V70 Elite India launch timeline leaks</h2>

<p>The latest information arrives from known tipster <em><a href="https://x.com/heyitsyogesh/status/2011058500118724903" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Yogesh Brar</a></em>, who shared the details on X (formerly Twitter). In his tweet, he claims that the upcoming Vivo V70 lineup will debut in the Indian market sometime in mid February 2026. Brar adds that the rumors of the January release are baseless. Furthermore, both models will feature Snapdragon chipsets and Zeiss optics for improved photography. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-1024x683.png?x44794" alt="Vivo V60 alternatives" class="wp-image-706516" width="774" height="516" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-1024x683.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-630x420.png 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 774px) 100vw, 774px" /><figcaption>Vivo V60</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Based on what we know so far, the base Vivo V70 is expected to pack the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, while the new V70 Elite model could get the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. The older Vivo V60 series debuted with Zeiss optics, so it&#8217;s no surprise that the successor also continues this collaboration. Both models are also rumored to run on the Android 16 OS based OriginOS 6 custom skin out of the box. </p>

<p>Yogesh Brar claims that a Vivo V70 FE model will join the V70 lineup, but its release will be at a later date. Apart from this, the only other info shared was about &#8220;plenty&#8221; of upgrades planned for this new lineup. In related news, the Vivo V70 FE recently bagged the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/09/vivo-v70-fe-iqoo-15r-iqoo-z11x-5g-certifications-launch-soon/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bluetooth SIG </a>certification along with the iQOO 15R and iQOO Z11x 5G. Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 Elite was spotted in India&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/28/vivo-v70-elite-5g-bis-certification-india-launch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BIS database</a>.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo</a>’s upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-v70/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">V70 lineup </a>has quietly been in the works in the background. The series is expected to include four phones — the Vivo V70, V70 Lite, V70 Elite, and V70E — but not all of them may be headed to India.</p>

<p>A new report from SmartPrix claims Vivo is planning to launch the V70 series in India by mid-February. However, only two models will make the cut: the standard Vivo V70 and the higher-end V70 Elite. </p>

<p>The V70 Lite and V70E, which have shown up in earlier leaks, are likely intended for other markets.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-1024x683.png?x44794" alt="Vivo V60 alternatives" class="wp-image-706516" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-1024x683.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60-630x420.png 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Vivo-V60.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Vivo V60</figcaption></figure>

<p>However, an earlier report suggested that Vivo could launch the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/20/vivo-v70-v70-elite-x200t-price-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> V70 phones alongside</a> the Vivo X200T in India. The latter device is expected to arrive in late January, and Vivo has already started teasing it, which makes this earlier timeline feel more grounded.</p>

<p>In other words, the mid-February claim doesn’t quite line up with what we’ve heard before, so it’s best to treat the latest leak with some caution.</p>

<h3><strong>What to expect from the Vivo V70</strong></h3>

<p>The Vivo V70 is expected to be offered in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Color options are reportedly limited to red and yellow.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>The phone is said to feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/25/vivo-v70-multiple-certifications-launch-imminent/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">6.517-inch display</a> with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, Vivo is expected to include a triple-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto camera.</p>

<p>Pricing is rumored to land around ₹45,000 for the Vivo V70, while the V70 Elite could be closer to ₹50,000.</p>

<p>As for the V70 Elite itself, details are still thin. What we do know is that the phone exists; it recently showed up in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/28/vivo-v70-elite-5g-bis-certification-india-launch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BIS certification listings</a> in India. But beyond that, we don’t know how it will differ from the standard V70.</p>

<p>Recent reports indicate that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina..com/category/vivo">Vivo</a> V70 series will feature multiple models. While there is no mention of a “Pro” version this time, the brand is reportedly planning a four-device lineup consisting of the Vivo V70, V70 Elite, V70 Lite, and V70 FE.</p>

<p>The series is set to launch in various global markets, though availability is likely to vary by region. The standard V70 has already received regulatory approval in several countries, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/10/vivo-v70-t5x-bis-certification-india-launch/">including India</a>. In a further development, the V70 Elite 5G has also been approved in India, confirming that this model is also headed to the Indian market.</p>

<h3><strong>Four upcoming Vivo phones receive BIS certification</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="137" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Upcoming-Vivo-phones-certiifed-by-Indias-BIS-1024x137.png?x44794" alt="Upcoming Vivo phones certiifed by India's BIS" class="wp-image-721170" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Upcoming-Vivo-phones-certiifed-by-Indias-BIS-1024x137.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Upcoming-Vivo-phones-certiifed-by-Indias-BIS-300x40.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Upcoming-Vivo-phones-certiifed-by-Indias-BIS-768x103.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Upcoming-Vivo-phones-certiifed-by-Indias-BIS-1536x206.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Upcoming-Vivo-phones-certiifed-by-Indias-BIS-696x93.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Upcoming-Vivo-phones-certiifed-by-Indias-BIS-1068x143.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Upcoming-Vivo-phones-certiifed-by-Indias-BIS.png 1829w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Upcoming Vivo phones certified by India&#8217;s BIS</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The above screenshot shows that four upcoming Vivo smartphones, bearing model numbers V2544, V2548, V2538, and V2545, have been approved by India’s BIS authority. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/25/vivo-v70-multiple-certifications-launch-imminent/">Several other certifications</a> have already revealed that the V2538 will be marketed as the Vivo V70.</p>

<p>As for the other devices, previous IMEI database listings have revealed that the V2544, V2548, and V2545 will be called the Vivo Y51 5G, Vivo V70 Elite 5G, and Vivo T5x 5G, respectively. Unfortunately, the specifications of these phones remain under wraps.</p>

<p>The inclusion of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/12/vivo-v70-series-will-not-have-any-4g-models-elite-and-fe-are-joining-the-line/">“Elite” branding</a> suggests that this model will be positioned above the V70, which is rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/20/vivo-v70-v70-elite-x200t-price-leak/">recent leak claimed</a> that while the V70 may be priced at around Rs 45,000 (~$500), the V70 Elite could cost approximately Rs 50,000 (~$555). As far as the V70 Lite and V70 FE, these devices may not be released in India.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="585" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo S50 launch" class="wp-image-719445" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50-300x171.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50-768x439.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50-696x398.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Vivo-S50-735x420.jpg 735w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Vivo S50</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>It would not be surprising if the Vivo V70 Elite turns out to be a rebranded version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-s50">Vivo S50</a>, which recently debuted in China. The S50 features a 6.59-inch OLED LTPS 1.5K 120Hz display with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it packs the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging. For imaging, it offers a 50-megapixel front camera, an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS support.</p>
