Last month, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X Fold 6 in China, and the foldable is expected to begin its global rollout soon. While the Vivo X Fold 5 made its global debut in July 2025, its successor has neither been officially teased nor spotted on any certification platform until now. In a new development, the global variant of the Vivo X Fold 6 has received an important certification, indicating that its international launch could be inching near.

Vivo X Fold 6 SDPPI certified

As can be seen above, the Vivo X Fold 6 with model number V2559 has emerged in the database of Indonesia’s SDDPI certification platform. This is the first time the device has appeared in the global certification database. While the listing has no information about the device’s specifications, but those should mirror the already available Chinese variant.

The V2559 was previously spotted at Europe’s EEC certification back in April, but it is only through the SDPPI listing that its final marketing name has been confirmed.

Vivo X Fold 6 specifications

The Vivo X Fold 6 features an 8.02-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display paired with a 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED cover screen. Both panels support a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, offer up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, and include eye protection features.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of storage. It houses a 7,000mAh BlueVolt battery with support for 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. It runs OriginOS 6 Fold-based Android 16, bringing multitasking tools such as the upgraded Atomic Workbench for improved productivity on the large foldable display.

The X Fold 6 is equipped with a 200-megapixel primary camera, accompanied by a 50-megapixel ZEISS APO periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The imaging setup is backed by Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip and comes with support for a telephoto extender accessory. It offers IP58 and IP59 levels of dust and water resistance. In China, it is available in four shades, such as green, white, gray, and black/gold.

At present, there is no information about the X Fold 6’s global launch timeframe. Some vague reports suggest that its India arrival could be delayed to October this year.

Vivo launched the X Fold 6 foldable smartphone in China on June 26, and as we covered in our launch article, the phone starts at 7,999 yuan (~$1,175) for the base 12GB+256GB model. It brings some serious hardware to the table, a 200MP ZEISS main camera, a Dimensity 9500 chip, a massive 7,000mAh battery, and both inner and outer AMOLED displays hitting up to 5,000 nits. 

But if you’re dropping that kind of money on a foldable, you probably want to know what repairs will cost if something goes wrong. Well, Vivo has now published the official pricing for repair parts on its website.

Vivo X Fold 6 Repair Price

As expected with any foldable phone, the inner screen is the most expensive part to replace. The internal screen is priced at 3,780 yuan (~$556), though Vivo is offering a 25% discount for the first repair, bringing it down to 2,835 yuan (~$417). 

There’s also a reserved (pre-booked) price of 3,380 yuan (~$497) for those who plan ahead. If only the single inner screen panel needs replacing (not the full component), that comes in at 1,899 yuan (~$279).

The outer screen is significantly cheaper. The external screen glass repair costs just 299 yuan (~$44), while a full external screen component replacement is 920 yuan (~$135). A reserved-price option is available for 620 yuan (~$91).

The battery replacement is reasonably priced at 259 yuan (~$38) while camera repairs vary depending on the module:

• Front-facing camera: 105 yuan (~$15)
• Rear wide-angle camera: 110 yuan (~$16)
• Rear periscope camera: 290 yuan (~$43)

Vivo has officially detailed the core specifications of the Vivo X Fold 6 ahead of its launch on June 26. In China, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be available in four options: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. As can be seen above, the leaked image reveals that these variants will be priced at 9,999 Yuan (~$1,475), 10,999 Yuan (~$1,625), 11,499 Yuan (~$1,700), and 12,499 Yuan (~$1,845), respectively.

This is a major jump, as the Vivo X Fold 5 with the same respective configurations was priced at 6,999 Yuan (~$1,030), 7,999 Yuan (~$1,180), 8,499 Yuan (~$1,250), and 9,499 Yuan (~$1,400), respectively. The leaked pricing suggests the Vivo X Fold 6 could be nearly 40 percent more expensive than the X Fold 5 across comparable storage variants.

While the price hike seems quite high, it is in line with competitors. To recall, the Honor Magic V6 and Oppo Find N6 base models with 12GB+256GB configurations are priced at 8,999 Yuan (~$1,330) and 9,999 Yuan (~$1,475), respectively. As with all leaks, it is advisable to take the X Fold 6 pricing with a pinch of salt, as its authenticity could not be confirmed.

While competing foldable phones feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the Vivo X Fold 6 will reportedly use the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition. Vivo X Fold 6 battery size, durability details confirmed

Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao has confirmed that the Vivo X Fold 6 will pack a massive 7,000mAh Blue Ocean battery across all variants. The foldable is also said to be the industry’s first smartphone to feature fifth-generation silicon-anode battery technology, complemented by Vivo’s third-generation semi-solid-state battery technology for improved efficiency and endurance.

According to Boxiao, the Blue Ocean battery system has been optimised at multiple levels, helping the foldable deliver up to 9.8 hours of endurance in heavy-load Atomic Workbench scenarios. Vivo claims this represents a 30 per cent improvement in battery life.

The company also showcased the phone’s performance in extreme conditions. The Vivo X Fold 6 reportedly continued operating at temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius. Another demonstration showed the foldable being used underwater. The device carries IPX8 and IPX9 ratings and is claimed to withstand powerful water pressure. Vivo has also equipped it with a lightweight hinge designed to maintain stable folding and unfolding over extended use.

Connectivity appears to be another major focus area. Vivo says the Vivo X Fold 6 features its upgraded Global Signal Amplification System 3.0, supported by a proprietary 1+4 communication chipset architecture. This setup includes one dedicated signal amplification chip and four Wi-Fi enhancement chips aimed at improving reception in challenging environments.

The company even demonstrated a voice call during a skydive from an altitude of 4,000 metres, highlighting the phone’s ability to search for and maintain optimal network connections. Vivo claims the upgraded communication system is designed to deliver reliable connectivity in high-speed trains, lifts, highways and other difficult coverage areas.

The Vivo X Fold 6 will be available in four color options: Blue Hole, Salt Lake, Polar Night, and Black Gold Edition. It will come in four configurations, including 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The Black Gold Edition will be offered exclusively in the 16GB+1TB variant.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. The brand has also confirmed that its rear camera setup will include a 200-megapixel main camera and a Sony LYT-602 periscope telephoto camera.

The rear camera setup is also said to include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For image processing, the device will feature the V3+ imaging chip. We’ve been covering the X Fold 6 for a while now. Early leaks had pointed to a large circular camera module on the rear and a striking blue-green finish.  

The brand has since confirmed the phone will come in a “Blue Hole” colorway, inspired by deep-sea blue sinkholes, along with more rounded corners and a 2.5D metal frame with vertical edges.

Vivo X Fold 6 Specifications 

Vivo is touting the Fold 6 as a “foldable mini DSLR.” It features a 200MP sensor, paired with a first for a foldable Zeiss APO super periscope telephoto lens. The phone also includes the Blueprint V3+ imaging chip, supports the Vivo Zeiss G2 teleconverter (equivalent to 200mm), and offers multiple color style options.

Vivo X Fold 6’s key specs officailly revealed

The Vivo X Fold 6 has been designed around the idea of combining a large-screen foldable experience with AI-powered productivity. The device will introduce an upgraded Atomic Workbench feature that can run multiple applications simultaneously on the large display, backed by OriginOS 6 Fold and the new Dimensity 9500 platform. Vivo says the goal is to offer a smoother multitasking experience for users who rely on their smartphones for work and daily productivity.

Beyond software features, Vivo is placing equal emphasis on design. The company highlighted a new Blue Hole color option inspired by deep-sea blue sinkholes. The foldable is said to feature more rounded corners and a refined metal frame aimed at improving in-hand comfort while maintaining a slim and lightweight profile. V2545A Vivo phone spotted with Dimensity 9500 chip

The screenshots above show that an upcoming Vivo smartphone bearing the model number V2545A has appeared in Geekbench’s database. The same device was previously spotted on China’s 3C certification platform in April this year with support for a 100W charger.

The Geekbench listing of the V2545A reveals that it is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. While the chip’s name is not directly mentioned, its CPU configuration, GPU details (via metadata), and MT6693 model number strongly suggest that the device is equipped with the Dimensity 9500 SoC.

At present, there is no indication whether the device will launch as a Vivo or iQOO smartphone. Recently, Vivo confirmed that the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 will feature the Dimensity 9500 chipset. At the same time, its sub-brand is reportedly working on the iQOO Neo 11S, which is expected to be a minor upgrade over last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered iQOO Neo 11.

According to Vivo, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be the first smartphone to feature the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor. Instead, Vivo and MediaTek reportedly began working on the project nearly two years ago, with the aim of creating a platform tailored specifically for foldable devices.

Vivo X Fold 6 battery size revealed

Several reports have claimed that the Vivo X Fold 6 will house a massive 7,000mAh battery. Now, the tipster has shared the above image to reveal that the device’s dual-cell battery was approved earlier this year by China’s 3C authority.

The certification reveals that the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature a dual-cell battery (2,807mAh + 3,863mAh), offering a combined rated value of 6,670mAh. Therefore, it is likely that its typical capacity could be 6,900mAh.

The above screenshot also shows an 8,905mAh battery (rated value) that was approved by China’s 3C authority in May. This battery, which is expected to have a typical capacity of 9,100mAh, may power an upcoming Vivo or iQOO smartphone.

Coming back to the Vivo X Fold 6, it has two major competitors in the Chinese market, namely the Oppo Find N6 and Honor Magic V6. Several reports have claimed that Vivo will announce the Vivo X Fold 6 foldable phone in June in China. Now that the month has begun, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared a new Weibo post revealing some details about the device.

Vivo X Fold 6 key specifications tipped

According to the tipster, the Vivo X Fold 6 is tentatively scheduled to launch in late June and will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 flagship chipset. The foldable is also tipped to pack a massive 7,000mAh-class battery, which would be one of the largest batteries seen on a foldable smartphone. Despite the large battery and upgraded camera hardware, the device is expected to retain a slim and lightweight design.

For photography, the Vivo X Fold 6 is said to feature a 200-megapixel large-sensor primary camera, accompanied by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a medium-sized sensor. In a previous leak, the tipster also mentioned the inclusion of a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens in the rear camera setup. For security, it will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In the comments section, DCS added that the engineering prototype continues to use Vivo’s signature large circular camera module. The display is also said to feature more rounded corners, while white remains the preferred color option for the prototype units.

The other details of the Vivo X Fold 6 remain under wraps. In the Chinese market, it will compete with the likes of the Honor Magic V6, the Oppo Find N6, and the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. Readers are advised to wait for further reports to learn more about the X Fold 6.

We have already seen a few foldable announcements in the first quarter of 2026, and there are certainly more coming in the months ahead. Insider Digital Chat Station (DCS) has now shared details about Vivo’s entry for this year, likely to be called the X Fold 6.

The most important detail here is that the X Fold 6 could use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500. Vivo’s foldables have so far relied exclusively on Snapdragon chips, with the last model, the Vivo X Fold 5, shipping with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

If that happens, the X Fold 6 would also become the first foldable phone to launch with the Dimensity 9500.

Vivo X Fold 6 could upgrade the main camera to 200MP 

On the camera side, the X Fold 5 features three 50MP lenses. The X Fold 6 is reportedly upgrading the main sensor to 200MP while retaining a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. The circular camera module design is also expected to stay, at least based on the prototype device that DCS reportedly got hands-on with.

The X Fold 6 is said to include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics, which is the usual choice for slim foldables. 

And speaking of slim, Vivo made a point of the X Fold 5’s weight last year. At 217 grams, it was lighter than the iPhone 16 Pro Max at launch, and the company called it the lightest foldable it had ever made. The X Fold 6 is likely to build on that foundation.

Durability was another highlight of the X Fold 5. It comes with both IPX8 and IPX9 ratings and reportedly survived thousands of folding cycles in water. We hope the company brings further improvements this time around.

No launch date has been confirmed yet. The X Fold 5 launched in June last year at 6,999 yuan, so a similar timeline could place the X Fold 6 sometime this summer, although nothing has been finalized. We will know more once Vivo decides to make things official.

Vivo X Fold 6 specifications leaked

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature an 8.01-inch inner foldable screen and a 6.51-inch outer display. While no additional details about the cover screen were shared, the inner display is said to support a 2K resolution and include a UTG layer.

The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to feature the Dimensity 9500, which is currently MediaTek’s most powerful chipset. The device is also tipped to pack a battery with around 7,000mAh capacity, suggesting it could offer the largest battery seen on a foldable phone so far. It is also expected to support wireless charging.

For photography, the rear camera setup is said to include a 200-megapixel primary camera along with two 50-megapixel sensors for ultra-wide and periscope telephoto photography. The device is also expected to feature a 20-megapixel front-facing camera and another 20-megapixel camera on the inner display.

For security, the Vivo X Fold 6 is said to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The leak also claims that the device will offer high-level water resistance, suggesting it may carry an IP58/IP59 rating similar to the previous generation.

The tipster claims that the Vivo foldable could feature one of the largest batteries ever seen on a foldable phone, along with a 200-megapixel primary camera. Despite the large battery, the device is also said to maintain an extremely thin and lightweight design.

According to a recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X Fold 6 may pack a massive 7,000mAh battery. Speculation also suggests that the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Battery is another area that could see a noticeable jump. The leak points to a rated 6,760mAh capacity, with a typical value closer to 7,000mAh. That’s a significant upgrade over the 6,000mAh unit of the X Fold 5.

There’s also mention of a 50MP periscope lens with telemacro support, which suggests close-up shooting could be part of the setup again. Vivo has used similar systems before, so this wouldn’t be entirely new, just carried forward and possibly refined.

Beyond that, details are still a bit vague. The leak references a new design language and some accessory support, but doesn’t go into specifics. A new leak suggests that it could be equipped with the best set of cameras ever seen on a foldable phone.

Vivo X Fold 6 may arrive with a 200MP camera

In the above leak, tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the Vivo X Fold 6 is being developed as the most imaging-focused foldable phone yet. He added that the device is reportedly being tested with a 200-megapixel camera and a multispectral sensor.

To recall, the Vivo X Fold 5 from last year featured a Sony IMX921 primary camera with OIS support in its rear camera setup. It was accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The camera setup did not feature a multispectral sensor.

The multispectral sensor, which is expected to be available on the Vivo X Fold 6, will be responsible for color accuracy. At present, there is no clarity on whether the X Fold 6’s 200-megapixel camera will use a Samsung or an OmniVision sensor. It is also not known whether it will be used for the primary or periscope telephoto camera.

To recall, the Vivo X Fold 5 was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3; the Vivo X Fold 6 will likely be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Unfortunately, there is no information available about its other specifications. As far as launch is concerned, it may debut in July this year, similar to the previous generation.

Vivo X300e and X Fold 6 make it to IMEI

The smartphone has appeared on the GSMA IMEI database with the Vivo X300e moniker. Vivo has not used the “e” suffix in the X series so far. Instead, the company introduced the X200 FE last year and the X200T more recently. That said, we expect the X300e to be an affordable flagship option like the X200 FE and X200T.

Also appearing in the IMEI database is the Vivo X Fold 6 foldable. Much like the X300 Ultra, the Fold 6 is expected to launch in China first, followed by a wider global release.

The listings do not reveal any hardware details for either device, but they do confirm that development is underway.

As mentioned earlier, details on both phones remain scarce. However, a leak from November suggests that the Fold 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

The Fold 6 is also expected to feature a 200MP camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

For context, the current Vivo X Fold 5 already offers a high-end setup, including a large 8.03-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Zeiss-tuned triple cameras, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for both wired and wireless fast charging.

For now, Vivo is staying quiet. Still, with both the X300e and X Fold 6 appearing in official databases, it’s clear the company is preparing to expand its flagship and foldable lineup in the coming months.
