Vivo has officially detailed the core specifications of the Vivo X Fold 6 ahead of its launch on June 26. The upcoming foldable is shaping up as a flagship device that combines AI-driven productivity, advanced imaging hardware, and a large battery while introducing several upgrades tailored specifically for foldable smartphone users.

At the heart of the Vivo X Fold 6 is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition flagship processor, paired with Vivo’s Blue Crystal tuning. The device will run OriginOS 6 Fold, a software platform designed specifically for large foldable displays and multi-threaded interactions. Vivo is also introducing an upgraded Atomic Workbench feature that supports serial and parallel task modes, allowing multiple apps to run simultaneously on a single screen.

The company says the foldable is designed to become a powerful AI productivity device. The Vivo X Fold 6 comes with a 7,000mAh battery across all variants. It combines fifth-generation silicon-carbon battery technology with a third-generation semi-solid-state design, addressing one of the biggest challenges of foldable devices: balancing battery capacity with a slim form factor. The phone also features Samsung’s M14 display material on the inner screen and second-generation Armour Glass protection on the outer display.

Photography is another major focus. The Vivo X Fold 6 features a 200-megapixel ZEISS main camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and CIPA 4.5 stabilisation. It is joined by a 50-megapixel ZEISS APO telephoto camera based on a 1/1.95-inch sensor, along with Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip. It is tipped to start at 9,999 Yuan (~$1,470) and may be offered in green, black, white, and a black-and-gold colour option. The black-and-gold variant is expected to be exclusive to the 16GB+1TB model.

Vivo is all set to announce the Vivo X Fold 6 foldable phone on June 26 in China. The official pre-order listings of the device have revealed that it will be available in multiple configurations. A leaked image that is now doing the rounds on Chinese social media platforms has revealed that the X Fold 6 will arrive with a major jump in cost.

Vivo X Fold 6 price leaked

In China, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be available in four options: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. As can be seen above, the leaked image reveals that these variants will be priced at 9,999 Yuan (~$1,475), 10,999 Yuan (~$1,625), 11,499 Yuan (~$1,700), and 12,499 Yuan (~$1,845), respectively.

This is a major jump, as the Vivo X Fold 5 with the same respective configurations was priced at 6,999 Yuan (~$1,030), 7,999 Yuan (~$1,180), 8,499 Yuan (~$1,250), and 9,499 Yuan (~$1,400), respectively. The leaked pricing suggests the Vivo X Fold 6 could be nearly 40 percent more expensive than the X Fold 5 across comparable storage variants.

While the price hike seems quite high, it is in line with competitors. To recall, the Honor Magic V6 and Oppo Find N6 base models with 12GB+256GB configurations are priced at 8,999 Yuan (~$1,330) and 9,999 Yuan (~$1,475), respectively. As with all leaks, it is advisable to take the X Fold 6 pricing with a pinch of salt, as its authenticity could not be confirmed.

While competing foldable phones feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the Vivo X Fold 6 will reportedly use the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition. Apart from the chipset, the foldable phone is confirmed to feature an 8.02-inch foldable OLED screen, a 200-megapixel triple camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, OriginOS 6 Fold UI, and a 7,000mAh battery. Vivo has shared a new demonstration video highlighting the capabilities of the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6. Instead of focusing only on performance or cameras, the company is drawing attention to areas that matter to frequent travellers and power users, including battery endurance, durability and network connectivity.

Vivo X Fold 6 battery size, durability details confirmed

Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao has confirmed that the Vivo X Fold 6 will pack a massive 7,000mAh Blue Ocean battery across all variants. The foldable is also said to be the industry’s first smartphone to feature fifth-generation silicon-anode battery technology, complemented by Vivo’s third-generation semi-solid-state battery technology for improved efficiency and endurance.

According to Boxiao, the Blue Ocean battery system has been optimised at multiple levels, helping the foldable deliver up to 9.8 hours of endurance in heavy-load Atomic Workbench scenarios. Vivo claims this represents a 30 per cent improvement in battery life.

The company also showcased the phone’s performance in extreme conditions. The Vivo X Fold 6 reportedly continued operating at temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius. Another demonstration showed the foldable being used underwater. The device carries IPX8 and IPX9 ratings and is claimed to withstand powerful water pressure. Vivo has also equipped it with a lightweight hinge designed to maintain stable folding and unfolding over extended use.

Connectivity appears to be another major focus area. Vivo says the Vivo X Fold 6 features its upgraded Global Signal Amplification System 3.0, supported by a proprietary 1+4 communication chipset architecture. This setup includes one dedicated signal amplification chip and four Wi-Fi enhancement chips aimed at improving reception in challenging environments.

The company even demonstrated a voice call during a skydive from an altitude of 4,000 metres, highlighting the phone’s ability to search for and maintain optimal network connections. Vivo claims the upgraded communication system is designed to deliver reliable connectivity in high-speed trains, lifts, highways and other difficult coverage areas.

Previously, the brand confirmed that the device will feature an 8.02-inch foldable OLED inner display with up to 5,000 nits of brightness, the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, and a triple rear camera setup comprising a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. it will be the company’s first foldable to support a telephoto extender attachment.

The Vivo X Fold 6 will be available in four color options: Blue Hole, Salt Lake, Polar Night, and Black Gold Edition. It will come in four configurations, including 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The Black Gold Edition will be offered exclusively in the 16GB+1TB variant.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. The brand has also confirmed that its rear camera setup will include a 200-megapixel main camera and a Sony LYT-602 periscope telephoto camera.

The rear camera setup is also said to include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For image processing, the device will feature the V3+ imaging chip. After weeks of teasers, Vivo has confirmed that the X Fold 6 will launch in China on June 26 at 7:00 PM CST (4:30 PM IST). Online pre-orders for the foldable are also open across all platforms in the mainland, and those who pre-order will enter a lucky draw to win the phone for free.

We’ve been covering the X Fold 6 for a while now. Early leaks had pointed to a large circular camera module on the rear and a striking blue-green finish.  

The brand has since confirmed the phone will come in a “Blue Hole” colorway, inspired by deep-sea blue sinkholes, along with more rounded corners and a 2.5D metal frame with vertical edges.

Vivo X Fold 6 Specifications 

Vivo is touting the Fold 6 as a “foldable mini DSLR.” It features a 200MP sensor, paired with a first for a foldable Zeiss APO super periscope telephoto lens. The phone also includes the Blueprint V3+ imaging chip, supports the Vivo Zeiss G2 teleconverter (equivalent to 200mm), and offers multiple color style options.

Both inner and outer screens use the latest generation of luminescent materials. The inner screen uses Samsung M14 luminescent material, which Vivo says offers higher peak brightness and lower power consumption.

Vivo X Fold 6’s key specs officailly revealed

The Vivo X Fold 6 has been designed around the idea of combining a large-screen foldable experience with AI-powered productivity. The device will introduce an upgraded Atomic Workbench feature that can run multiple applications simultaneously on the large display, backed by OriginOS 6 Fold and the new Dimensity 9500 platform. Vivo says the goal is to offer a smoother multitasking experience for users who rely on their smartphones for work and daily productivity.

Beyond software features, Vivo is placing equal emphasis on design. The company highlighted a new Blue Hole color option inspired by deep-sea blue sinkholes. The foldable is said to feature more rounded corners and a refined metal frame aimed at improving in-hand comfort while maintaining a slim and lightweight profile. A mysterious Vivo smartphone has surfaced on Geekbench today. The device appears to be powered by MediaTek’s most powerful chipset. However, it remains unclear whether the handset will launch under the Vivo or iQOO brand. Here’s a look at the details revealed through the Geekbench listing.

V2545A Vivo phone spotted with Dimensity 9500 chip

The screenshots above show that an upcoming Vivo smartphone bearing the model number V2545A has appeared in Geekbench’s database. The same device was previously spotted on China’s 3C certification platform in April this year with support for a 100W charger.

The Geekbench listing of the V2545A reveals that it is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. While the chip’s name is not directly mentioned, its CPU configuration, GPU details (via metadata), and MT6693 model number strongly suggest that the device is equipped with the Dimensity 9500 SoC.

At present, there is no indication whether the device will launch as a Vivo or iQOO smartphone. Recently, Vivo confirmed that the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 will feature the Dimensity 9500 chipset. At the same time, its sub-brand is reportedly working on the iQOO Neo 11S, which is expected to be a minor upgrade over last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered iQOO Neo 11.

Considering that the V2545A supports 100W fast charging, it appears more likely to be an iQOO-branded device. However, it is advisable to wait for further reports before drawing conclusions about its final marketing name.

The company has now confirmed one of the biggest hardware upgrades for the foldable, hinting at a stronger focus on AI-powered productivity and large-screen multitasking experiences.

Custom Dimensity 9500 chip confirmed for Vivo X Fold 6

According to Vivo, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be the first smartphone to feature the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor. The company says this is not a standard version of MediaTek’s flagship chipset. Instead, Vivo and MediaTek reportedly began working on the project nearly two years ago, with the aim of creating a platform tailored specifically for foldable devices.

The customized chip has been designed to improve multitasking, multi-threaded processing and multi-window rendering, areas that are becoming increasingly important as foldables take on more desktop-like workloads. Vivo claims the chipset has been optimized for large-screen productivity scenarios and demanding on-device AI tasks.

For document-related tasks, the AI File Manager has received enhancements to its large language model processing capabilities. Vivo says text summarisation and AI-powered question-and-answer responses are now around 20 percent faster. The company will also introduce a new AI topic-based question feature.

Ahead of the launch, the rumor mill has been actively revealing its key details. The latest leak, courtesy of tipster Experience More, reveals its battery capacity.

Vivo X Fold 6 battery size revealed

Several reports have claimed that the Vivo X Fold 6 will house a massive 7,000mAh battery. Now, the tipster has shared the above image to reveal that the device’s dual-cell battery was approved earlier this year by China’s 3C authority.

The certification reveals that the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature a dual-cell battery (2,807mAh + 3,863mAh), offering a combined rated value of 6,670mAh. Therefore, it is likely that its typical capacity could be 6,900mAh.

The above screenshot also shows an 8,905mAh battery (rated value) that was approved by China’s 3C authority in May. This battery, which is expected to have a typical capacity of 9,100mAh, may power an upcoming Vivo or iQOO smartphone.

Coming back to the Vivo X Fold 6, it has two major competitors in the Chinese market, namely the Oppo Find N6 and Honor Magic V6. According to the tipster, the Vivo X Fold 6 is tentatively scheduled to launch in late June and will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 flagship chipset. The foldable is also tipped to pack a massive 7,000mAh-class battery, which would be one of the largest batteries seen on a foldable smartphone. Despite the large battery and upgraded camera hardware, the device is expected to retain a slim and lightweight design.

For photography, the Vivo X Fold 6 is said to feature a 200-megapixel large-sensor primary camera, accompanied by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a medium-sized sensor. In a previous leak, the tipster also mentioned the inclusion of a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens in the rear camera setup. For security, it will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In the comments section, DCS added that the engineering prototype continues to use Vivo’s signature large circular camera module. The display is also said to feature more rounded corners, while white remains the preferred color option for the prototype units.

We have already seen a few foldable announcements in the first quarter of 2026, and there are certainly more coming in the months ahead. Insider Digital Chat Station (DCS) has now shared details about Vivo’s entry for this year, likely to be called the X Fold 6.

The most important detail here is that the X Fold 6 could use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500. Vivo’s foldables have so far relied exclusively on Snapdragon chips, with the last model, the Vivo X Fold 5, shipping with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

If that happens, the X Fold 6 would also become the first foldable phone to launch with the Dimensity 9500.

Vivo X Fold 6 could upgrade the main camera to 200MP 

On the camera side, the X Fold 5 features three 50MP lenses. The X Fold 6 is reportedly upgrading the main sensor to 200MP while retaining a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. The circular camera module design is also expected to stay, at least based on the prototype device that DCS reportedly got hands-on with.

The X Fold 6 is said to include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics, which is the usual choice for slim foldables. 

And speaking of slim, Vivo made a point of the X Fold 5’s weight last year. At 217 grams, it was lighter than the iPhone 16 Pro Max at launch, and the company called it the lightest foldable it had ever made. The X Fold 6 is likely to build on that foundation.

Durability was another highlight of the X Fold 5. It comes with both IPX8 and IPX9 ratings and reportedly survived thousands of folding cycles in water. We hope the company brings further improvements this time around.

No launch date has been confirmed yet. The X Fold 5 launched in June last year at 6,999 yuan, so a similar timeline could place the X Fold 6 sometime this summer, although nothing has been finalized. We will know more once Vivo decides to make things official.

Vivo X Fold 6 may arrive with a 200MP camera

In the above leak, tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the Vivo X Fold 6 is being developed as the most imaging-focused foldable phone yet. He added that the device is reportedly being tested with a 200-megapixel camera and a multispectral sensor.

To recall, the Vivo X Fold 5 from last year featured a Sony IMX921 primary camera with OIS support in its rear camera setup. It was accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The camera setup did not feature a multispectral sensor.

The multispectral sensor, which is expected to be available on the Vivo X Fold 6, will be responsible for color accuracy. At present, there is no clarity on whether the X Fold 6’s 200-megapixel camera will use a Samsung or an OmniVision sensor. It is also not known whether it will be used for the primary or periscope telephoto camera.

To recall, the Vivo X Fold 5 was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3; the Vivo X Fold 6 will likely be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Vivo X300e and X Fold 6 make it to IMEI

The smartphone has appeared on the GSMA IMEI database with the Vivo X300e moniker. Vivo has not used the “e” suffix in the X series so far. Instead, the company introduced the X200 FE last year and the X200T more recently. That said, we expect the X300e to be an affordable flagship option like the X200 FE and X200T.

Also appearing in the IMEI database is the Vivo X Fold 6 foldable. Much like the X300 Ultra, the Fold 6 is expected to launch in China first, followed by a wider global release.

The listings do not reveal any hardware details for either device, but they do confirm that development is underway.

As mentioned earlier, details on both phones remain scarce. However, a leak from November suggests that the Fold 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

The Fold 6 is also expected to feature a 200MP camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

For context, the current Vivo X Fold 5 already offers a high-end setup, including a large 8.03-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Zeiss-tuned triple cameras, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for both wired and wireless fast charging.
