Vivo has recently introduced its most recent flagship series—the vivo X100 Series in the global market.

Now, the most anticipated smartphone series is heading towards the Indian region.

Recently, the brand has released a new teaser of the upcoming Vivo X100 Series in India, which hints that the product is launching in the region very soon. Moreover, the landing page of the products has also appeared on the e-commerce site, revealing its availability on Flipkart.

The X100 series features a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. The phones are water and dust-resistant, with an IP68 designation, and have two stereo speakers.

To differentiate the two variants, the X100 has a rear camera configuration that consists of a 50MP Sony IMX920 VCS primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens with a 150-degree field of view, and a 50MP periscope telephoto using OIS.

While, the X100 Pro has a rear camera setup that consists of a 64MP customized OmniVision OV64B 100mm periscope telephoto with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide with a 150-degree field of view, and a 50MP 1-inch Sony IMX989 VCS primary camera.

It weighs 225 grams, measures 164.05 x 75.28 x 8.91 mm, and is powered by the Vivo V3 processor. It also includes a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.

It weighs 206 grams and has dimensions of 164.05 x 75.19 x 8.49 mm. It has a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at 120W.

The company has not disclosed any information about its launch date for the Indian region. However, we expect the launch of the product by mid-January of 2024 in India.

The Vivo X100 series was officially announced in China just last month. The company recently revealed the date for the flagship lineup’s global debut, but now, a new report has hinted that the X100 series could be launching in India next month.

The news arrives from an exclusive 91Mobiles report. Vivo X100 series of high end devices is set to launch in India in early January 2024. Sources close to the matter added that both the X100 and X100 Pro are expected to be launched in the region. Another interesting aspect revealed in the fresh report includes a new camera feature. The Vivo X100 series will feature an exclusive sun shot feature that is powered by AI (Artificial Intelligence).

To elaborate, the camera mode will allow users to capture the brilliance of the sun during sunset and sunrise, with AI algorithms helping bring out the depth and color accuracy of the picture being taken. For those unaware, the global launch for the Vivo X100 lineup is set for 14th December 2023. It is worth noting that the X100 and X100 Pro were announced in China, but the X100 Pro+ model’s release appears to be postponed at the moment.

Talking about the X100 and X100 Pro, both devices sport a tall 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and 3000 nits of peak brightness. The Vivo X100 series is the brand’s latest generation of flagship smartphones. As we get closer to the official announcement, here’s a detailed roundup of all the rumors and leaks we have covered over the past few weeks. This should offer you a good idea of what to expect from the upcoming X100, X100 Pro, and X100 Pro+ models.

Vivo X100 Series: Design & Display

Since these are high end devices, the Vivo X100 lineup will launch with a premium design. In our previous report, we covered both leaked and official teaser image posters that revealed the color options of the X100 lineup. These images reveal not just the colors but the design of the upcoming smartphones as well. The X100 Pro models is set to launch in four color options, namely Star Trail Blue, Sunset Orange, White Moonlight, and Cheyne Black. The rear panel of the orange variant will include faux leather, while the others feature a glass back panel.

A large circular camera island can be seen at the back, which houses the multiple cameras. The X100 Pro series is expected to have curved edges. On the front, the Vivo X100 is rumored to sport a 6.79-inch AMOLED display that offers 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The higher end Pro and Pro+ variants are rumored to feature the same display size, with curved edges being the main distinction. All three models will house a center aligned punch hole cutout for the selfie camera.

While the devices will likely appear similar from the outside, the internals are where the differences start surfacing. Lastly, the top end X100 Pro+ variant will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Interestingly, these smartphones will be the first to feature LPDDR5T RAM. All three models are rumored to house a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls and include Zeiss-certified Vario-APO-Sonnar lens for the periscope lens. To improve the photography experience, the X100 Pro models will also feature Vivo’s self developed V3 image sensor chipset.

Vivo is set to launch its next generation of flagship smartphones in its home market of China soon. The Vivo X100 series will feature top notch specs and features. But ahead of its announcement, a leak has claimed that the lineup will be the first in the world to feature LPDDR5T RAM.

According to known tipster Digital Chat Station, the Chinese tech giant’s entire flagship X100 lineup will feature the new LPDDR5T memory technology. For those unaware, SK Hynix announced the LPDDR5T RAM at the start of this year. This is currently the world’s fastest mobile DRAM module. The LPDDR5T memory is around 13 percent faster in terms of read speeds when compared to the LPDDR5X RAM. It saw speeds of up to 9.6Gbps.

Interestingly enough, the LPDDR5T module was also recently tested by MediaTek, which saw it outperform Samsung’s LPDDR5X RAM. The newer and faster memory is expected to be paired with the chipmaker’s flagship Dimensity 9300 SoC as well as UFS 4.0 storage. The Dimensity 9300 will be announced on November 6, with the Vivo X100 series being one of the first to feature the processor.

Vivo is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Vivo X100 series. We’ve been following the leaks and rumors surrounding the lineup. And now renders of the Vivo X100 Pro+ have leaked online, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming device.

The renders, which are from a third-party source, show that the Vivo X100 Pro+ will have a similar design to the Vivo X90 Pro+, but with a few key differences.

The camera module is now centered on the back panel, and the shiny strip that gave a distinct look to the Vivo X90 series is missing this time around. Otherwise, it looks pretty similar to its predecessor.

Again, it’s important to note that these are just third-party renders, and the final design of the X100 Pro+ may be slightly different. However, the renders do give us a good idea of what to expect.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) also recently leaked the battery and charging specifications of the X100 series. According to DCS, the X100 will have a 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging support. The lineup is expected to comprise standard, pro, and pro plus models. These will arrive as the successors to the current X90 series devices. Some key details of the Vivo X100 lineup have already surfaced in the leaks and rumors. Now, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shared new information revealing the battery capacities and charging speeds of the X100 devices.

As per DCS who shared the latest info on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, the Vivo X100 will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 120W charging. On the other hand, the X100 Pro will be powered by a 5,100mAh cell with support for 120W wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line X100 Pro+ is tipped to be equipped with a larger 5,400mAh battery cell, however, the wired charging speed will max out at lower 100W whereas the wireless charging speed will remain the same at 50W as the X100 Pro.

The latest post from DCS does not divulge into more details about the Vivo X100 series. As per the previous information shared by the same tipster, the X100 Pro and Pro+ will feature IP68 certification. All three smartphones in the lineup will come with dual stereo speakers, an X-Axis linear motor, as well as an IR Blaster. A recent report also revealed that the X100 Pro is rumored to have a satellite connectivity feature.
