vivo launched the vivo X100s in May this year with the Dimensity 9300+ chipset for a starting price (12GB +256GB) of 3,999 Yuan (~US$ 560). Currently, the phone is on sale on JD.com and starts from 3491 yuan. In addition to that, members can also get an instant discount of 8.73 yuan, and a 50 yuan red envelope can be returned after posting an order. So the final discounted price becomes 3432 yuan, which is equivalent to US$478.

The vivo X100s offer a solid build with a glass back and aluminum frame. It is only 7.8 mm thick and weighs 203g. It is also one of the first phones to come with an IP69 dust and water-resistant rating.

This phone uses a 6.78-inch 2800×1260 flat OLED panel, which supports a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate. The display panel offers a local peak brightness of 3000 nits, a 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and customized eye protection which is reportedly based on Dimensity chip hardware. There is an under-display optical fingerprint scanner.

It is the world’s first device to launch with the 4nm Dimensity 9300+ chip, which scores around 2.3 million on the AnTuTu benchmark. To power the system, the phone packs a 5100mAh battery and supports 100W fast wired charging. The phone runs on OriginOS 4 in China, which is based on Android 14.

Speaking of cameras, the phone packs a 50 MP 1/1.49″ main sensor (with f/1.6), a 50 MP 15mm ultrawide (15mm), and a 64 MP 70mm periscope telephoto (f/2.6) with 3x optical zoom. The camera system features Zeiss optics with Zeiss T* lens coating. On the front, there is a 32 MP centered hole-punch selfie camera.

For wireless connectivity, this phone supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. While vivo offers 256GB + 12GB configuration as the base model, the phone also comes with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.

Earlier today, Vivo held a launch event to debut the Vivo X100 Ultra smartphone in China. Along with the Ultra model, the brand has also unveiled the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro smartphones as well. These new phones feature the new and improved Dimesnity 9300+ processor, instead of the Dimensity 9300 featured on the X100 and X100 Pro. This newly launched chip has a higher boost clock speed of 3.4GHz, as well as improved APU which provides a 10% boost in on-device AI tasks.

Vivo X100s & X100s Pro specs & features:

The Vivo X100s and X100s Pro both feature a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display (flat display on the X100s and curved display on the X100s Pro) that delivers a crisp 2800 x 1260 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. The displays offer a 93.43% screen-to-body ratio, 3000 nits peak brightness, as well as 1.07 billion colors and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

As mentioned above, both smartphones feature a Dimensity 9300+ processor with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Vivo has included the new V3 imaging chip in the X100s Pro, while the X100s retains a V2 chip.

The buzz around the vivo X100s keeps growing! After earlier leaks revealed some specs, the latest rumors spill the beans on the phone’s camera setup. vivo is set to unveil the vivo X100s, X100s Pro, and X100 Ultra phones at a launch event in China on May 13th.

A couple leaks for the vivo X100 lineup were coming up lately, vivo even released vivo X100s official hands-on images ahead of the launch day.

vivo X100s: triple camera setup with 50MP+50MP+64MP sensors

The latest post shared by DCS on Weibo includes the complete spec sheet of the vivo X100s. Though the phone has not been unveiled yet, almost everything about the upcoming smartphone has been revealed.

According to DCS, the vivo X100s will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset. Previous rumors indicated that the device would feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED screen with a resolution of 2800×1260 pixels, produced by Visionox.

The vivo X100s will offer two RAM options: 12GB and 16GB, and three storage configurations: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The phone will feature a 32MP selfie camera and a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of 50MP+50MP+64MP cameras. vivo X100s will have a 15mm ultra-wide-angle camera and a 64MP telephoto camera capable of 3X zoom.

DCS did not actually provide clear information regarding the aperture of the cameras, as f/1.57-f/2.57 does not specify which camera’s aperture is being referred to. However, we assume that the aperture of the main camera is f/1.57 and that of the periscope camera is f/2.57.

vivo had advertised that the upcoming phone would be as thin as 7.8mm. One of the factors contributing to this slim profile is transitioning from a curved screen to a flat one. The phone will feature a 5100mAh battery and 100W wired charging. Additionally, the phone will come with vivo’s V2 image chip and Zeiss T* coating on the camera lenses.

vivo’s upcoming X100s smartphone will be introduced to the market as the successor to the X100. While the X100 comes with the Dimensity 9300 chipset, the X100s is expected to feature the Dimensity 9300 Plus. vivo had already announced that the vivo X100s will have a thickness of 7.8mm, and now they have shared hands-on images.

You might wonder why vivo advertises the phone’s 7.8mm thickness as it is a great thing. If you consider the recently introduced flagship phones are now almost all above 8mm, phone manufacturers realize the modern devices are uncomfortably thick. The predecessor of the X100s, vivo X100 released a year ago has a thickness of 8.5mm. While the vivo X100S may not have camera specs as impressive as the Ultra model, its thinner design undoubtedly provides a better feel in hand.

Many Android smartphone manufacturers are now starting to move away from curved displays, and vivo has also opted for a flat display with the vivo X100s. The previously released phone, vivo X100 actually had a curved display. Using a flat display can be beneficial in reducing the device’s thickness, so opting for a flat display is certainly a good idea. Thus, with the vivo X100s, vivo joins the flat display trend in their X series, as the X90s had come with a curved screen previously.

Official vivo images showcase the X100s in at least two color options. The phone’s back reveals the show with its huge camera array, while the right side houses the combined power and volume buttons.

Vivo X100 Ultra and Vivo X100s Series

Vivo has scheduled an event in China for May 13 (Monday). The conference will begin at 7 PM GMT+8.

The company will unveil three devices, namely Vivo X100 Ultra, Vvio X100s, and Vivo X100s Pro. As the name suggests, the former will be the most premium of all, whereas the latter two will be refined versions of X100 and X100 Pro from late last year.

The Ultra will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip as opposed to a Dimensity 9300 Plus SoC inside the other two phones. It will feature top-end camera hardware comprising a 50MP Sony LYT-900 1-inch primary sensor, a 200MP 1/1.4-inch periscope telephoto shooter, and a 50MP ultrawide unit.

iQOO Z9x

The iQOO Z9x is set to launch in India on May 16 (Thursday). It will be positioned below the iQOO Z9.

The device is teased to arrive with a 6.72-inch 120Hz 1000 nits display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, 2 years of Android updates, a 50MP rear camera, a 6,000mAh battery, and 44W charging support.

Other features of the handset will include dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an IP65 rating.

Samsung Galaxy F55

The Samsung Galaxy F55 is planned to go official in India on May 17 (Friday). The product will be a rebranded version of the China-only Galaxy C55 for global markets.

The phone will share most of its specs with the Galaxy M55. However, it will come with the most unique design in Samsung’s current smartphone portfolio. The device will sport a vegan leather back, unlike any other recent Samsung handsets.

As far as specs are concerned, the product will arrive with a 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, a 50MP rear camera, a 50MP selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and 45W charging support.

MediaTek unveiled its latest top-of-the-line chip, the Dimensity 9300+, at their developer conference today. At the same event, Vivo showcased two phones that will be powered by this chip: the X100s and the iQOO Neo 9s Pro.  images from the event, showing the actual phones on display, have now been circulating on Weibo.

As can be seen, the iQOO Neo 9s Pro maintains the design language of the Neo 9 Pro, featuring a flat screen and a punch-hole camera.

The phone’s settings page reveals that it will have an impressive 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM. iQOO will also be packing its in-house Q1 chip for improved gaming performance.

We also got a glimpse of the Vivo X100s, which keeps the design of other X100 series phones.

As for the specs, the Neo 9s Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. 

While the battery capacity remains unconfirmed, it might follow suit with the Neo 9 Pro and offer a 5,160mAh battery with speedy 120W fast charging. The back of the phone is expected to sport a triple camera system with a main 50-megapixel sensor equipped with image stabilization.

The Vivo X100s is expected to share most specs with the X100, except for the screen and chip. This means it will probably have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an in-screen fingerprint reader, and a triple camera system with a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel main sensor, an ultrawide sensor, and a 3x telephoto lens.

On May 13, China will see the launch of the Vivo X100s, along with the Vivo X100s Pro and the X100 Ultra. The X100s will succeed the Vivo X100, which came equipped with the Dimensity 9300 chip. The successor model is already confirmed to feature the upcoming Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. Today, the brand released the following poster to tease the design of the X100s.

Vivo X100s design

The official poster released by the brand confirms that the Vivo X100s has a slim profile of 7.8mm. While the X100 features a curved edge screen, the X100s will have a flat display. To recall, the X100 has a thickness of around 8.5mm.

Shown above is an official image of the Vivo X100s, which has a good look and a good front and rear design. The back panel of the phone sports a familiar round camera module with three cameras and the Zeiss logo. It also features an LED flash unit in the upper-right corner. As per reports, the device will arrive in four options, such as black, white, titanium, and cyan.

Vivo will announce the Vivo X100 Ultra and Vivo X100s flagship phones this month in China. For the Vivo X100 Ultra, Jia Jingdong describes it as the culmination of their efforts, akin to the powerful being Thanos (Vivo X100’s codename) from Marvel comics. The device is praised for its professional-grade camera capabilities, including specialized modes for various photography scenarios like high-speed sports, low-light portraits, and telephoto shots. Vivo X100s real-life images

The Vivo X100, which debuted in November 2023, came equipped with a curved-edge OLED panel. Rumors surrounding the X100s have claimed that it will have a flat display. As can be seen in the first image, the alleged X100s have a flat screen.

It appears that the edges of the Vivo X100s are flat, and it continues to sport a round camera deco. Inside, there are three cameras and a Zeiss logo. The top-right corner of the back panel displays a vertically positioned LED flash.

On May 7, MediaTek will unveil the Dimensity 9300 Plus chip at the MediaTek Dimensity Developers Conference (MDDC) in China. The D9300+ will be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9300, which powers the Vivo X100 and X100.

Speculations are rife that, apart from the Vivo X100s, the company may also announce the Vivo X100s Pro. Both are expected to debut as the first phones powered by the Dimensity 9300 Plus. Realme GT Neo 6

Vivo X100s series

This phone appears to be the Vivo X100 Ultra, which is expected to debut alongside the X100s and X100s Pro. Some reports have claimed that the device may carry the Vivo X100s Ultra branding instead of the X100 Ultra.

Oppo Reno 12 series

The fifth phone in the leak features an OLED panel with a micro-curved design. The screen offers a 1.5K resolution and the device is powered by the Dimensity 9200. Rumors suggest that the device could be the Reno 12 Pro. There is a possibility that the standard Reno 12 featuring the Dimensity 8200 chip may also debut alongside the Pro model.

Meizu 21 Note

Lastly, the leaker has mentioned a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone. It can be said based on recent leaks that he could hinting at the arrival of the Meizu 21 Note.

According to reports, the Vivo X100s will have the same cameras that are available on the Vivo X100, which debuted in November last year. Therefore, the device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The Vivo X100 features a curved-edge display and the Dimensity 9300 chipset. According to rumors, the X100s will have a flat display and the upcoming Dimensity 9300+ chipset. The rest of its specifications will be identical to the X100.

Vivo X100s has been popping up in various leaks and certifications, but we’re still waiting for the official word on it. Now, though, things are changing. 

Vivo’s China Product Manager, Han Boxiao, has finally given the nod to the X100s. While he didn’t spill the beans on the smartphone’s specs, he did reveal a cool camera feature called “Four Seasons Portrait” mode (translated from Chinese).

The mode uses some clever AI image processing to change the background of portrait photos to match the four seasons of the year: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

Boxiao even showed off images altered using this mode. It’s pretty neat to see how the feature can transform portrait pics to give off those different seasonal vibes.

Apparently, not only does it change the background, but it also adjusts the lighting and shadows on your face and surroundings to fit with the chosen season. According to Boxiao, this is all part of Vivo’s AIGC imaging technology.

Although not confirmed, the phone is expected to have a similar camera setup as the Vivo X100. That is, there will be a 50MP f/1.6 main sensor on the back joined by a 15mm ultra-wide lens and a 70mm periscope telephoto lens with a focal length of 15mm to 70mm.

Vivo X100s has previously been leaked in real-life images confirming that the phone departs from the curved edge design of the X100 for a flatter look. 

The smartphone will run on a Dimensity 9300 Plus processor, as revealed by the AnTuTu listing. Battery details are still in the air, but 3C certification reveals the phone will likely have 120W charging support. 

The Vivo X100s is expected to launch sometime in May. It’s rumored to be joined by Vivo X100s Pro and X100 Ultra.

The forthcoming Vivo X100s has been spotted on AnTuTu, showcasing impressive performance metrics powered by the yet-to-be-unveiled Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. The Vivo X100, which debuted in November 2023 in China, and the Dimensity 9300 onboard scored around 2.2 million points on AnTuTu. The screenshot clearly shows that the X100’s AnTuTu score surpasses that of its predecessor.

Garnering a total score of 2,305,267 on AnTuTu, the upcoming X100s showcase noteworthy prowess across test categories. It achieved a CPU test score of 538,809, a GPU score of 940,944, a memory test score of 472,337, and a UX test score of 353,177.

According to reports, the Dimensity 9300 Plus is an overclocked variant of the Dimensity 9300. A previously seen Geekbench listing revealed enhanced performance with its boosted prime core clocked at 3.4GHz, 3 x Cortex-X4 operating at 2.85GHz, 3 x Cortex-A720 cores working at 2.0GHz, and the Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU.

Aside from featuring a new chipset, the Vivo X100s is expected to pack the same internals as the Vivo X100. While retaining many of the X100’s specs, it is said to adopt a flat screen, eschewing the curved-edge display seen on the previous model. It is likely to come in color options, such as white, black, cyan, and titanium.

The Vivo X100s, along with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Vivo X100 Ultra, are expected to break cover in May in China. MediaTek is poised to unveil the Dimensity 9300 Plus on May 7 in China. Vivo is reportedly developing a new X-series of smartphones for the Chinese market. The lineup is expected to comprise three models: the Vivo X100s, X100s Pro, and X100 Ultra. According to a report by the Chinese publication Jiemian News, the X100 Ultra will be the company’s first smartphone to feature its self-developed imaging brand, BlueImage.

Vivo-Zeiss collaboration to end soon?

The introduction of Vivo’s BlueImage self-developed imaging brand will mark the second independent imaging brand in the mobile phone industry after Huawei’s XMAGE, which debuted in July 2022. Currently, not much is known about what BlueImage will offer.

To recall, Vivo trademarked the BlueImage brand in November of last year. Its product services include a variety of imaging-related projects, such as graphics processors, optical lenses, and sensors.

Huawei began its collaboration with the legendary German camera and optics manufacturer Leica back in 2016. As mentioned above, Huawei introduced its independent imaging system, XMAGE, in 2022. Now that BlueImage is expected to debut on the X100 Ultra, it appears that it may soon lead to the end of the Vivo-Zeiss collaboration, which began in December 2020. It remains to be seen whether the BlueImage will also be available on the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro, which are expected to launch with the X100 Ultra in May in China.

According to reports, the Vivo X100 Ultra’s camera system will include a 50-megapixel LYT-900, a one-inch camera sensor, as the primary snapper. The same camera is available on two other flagship phones, such as the Oppo Find X7 Ultra and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

A 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera are also reportedly part of the X100 Ultra’s camera setup. In November, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro smartphones in China. Both phones feature the Dimensity 9300 chipset. While Vivo fans were expecting the Vivo X100 Pro+ equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip to go official with the X100 and X100 Pro, the company did not unveil it at that time. Several reports have claimed that the phone has been renamed the Vivo X100 Ultra and is scheduled to debut in the second quarter of this year. Vivo’s Vice President for Product, Huang Tao, confirmed via Weibo that the company will soon launch phones with satellite communication support. This suggests that the X100 Ultra’s launch may not be far away.

Vivo to soon launch satellite communications enabled phones

Several reports have claimed that the Vivo X100 Ultra, which will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will have support for two-way satellite communication. This will allow the smartphone to compete with the likes of the Find X7 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra phones that support satellite connectivity.

In remote areas like the outdoors, forests, deserts, oceans, or mountains where traditional communication signals are unavailable, individuals can establish direct connections with satellites using their mobile phones for emergency communication. Satellite connectivity can be a very useful tool in such challenging environments.

According to reports, the Vivo X100 Ultra will have a 50-megapixel LYT-900 main camera with support for variable aperture and OIS. The camera setup is expected to include an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto camera, and a periscope telephoto camera. Especially, the latter is said to offer a 200-megapixel resolution with support for a 4.3x optical zoom, up to a 200x digital zoom, and a focal length of 100mm.

Apart from the Vivo X100 Ultra, the company is said to be working on the X100s series of smartphones. Reports suggest that the X100s and X100s Pro will come equipped with the upcoming Dimensity 9300+ chipset. It is likely that the X100 Ultra and X100s series may debut in May in China.

The Chinese market is about to welcome a couple of new Vivo devices. On March 26, the brand will announce the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones, the Vivo Pad 3 Pro tablet, and the Vivo TWS 4 earbuds. The brand is said to be working on the Vivo X100s series of smartphones as well as the Vivo X100 Ultra, a premium flagship phone. It appears that the X100s may launch in April in India, as the X100s Pro model has received approval from the 3C certification platform in China.

Vivo X100s Pro receives 3C certification

Vivo unveiled the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro in November 2023 in China as the world’s first Dimensity 9300 powered smartphones. The Chinese variants of both phones have V2309A and V2324A model numbers. It is speculated that the upcoming Vivo X100s and X100s Pro will have an additional “H” letter in their model numbers. Hence, the X100s and X100s Pro are said to have V2309HA and V2324HA model numbers, respectively.

The above screenshot shows that the 3C authority in China has approved the alleged Vivo X100s Pro with the V2324HA model number. The 3C certification of the device has revealed that the device may come equipped with a 120W fast charger.

Previously, the same device was spotted in Geekbench’s database with an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9300 chip. Hence, it appears that the Vivo X100s Pro could be the first phone to feature the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. Speculation suggests that the X100s, potentially launching alongside the Pro model, will boast the same chip.

Apart from featuring the new chip, the X100s and X100s Pro are expected to pack the same specifications that are available on the X100 and X100 Pro. The release of the X100s series outside of China remains uncertain.

Vivo is gearing up to introduce its latest products in China this week, including the Vivo X Fold 3 series, a new tablet, and a TWS. However, there’s more in the pipeline from Vivo. Rumors suggest that the company is also working on new smartphones under the X100 series.

A new Vivo smartphone, possibly the Vivo X100s, has now received certification from the 3C certification website. The device carries the model number V2359A and will support 120W fast charging.

Apart from this detail, there isn’t much information available about the Vivo X100s from the certification.

If indeed it’s the Vivo X100s, tipster Digital Chat Station has been consistently sharing specifications of the upcoming device for several months now.

The insider has revealed that the device will come in Black, White, Green, and Titanium color options. 

It’s rumored to sport a flat OLED display on the front, with minimal bezels, and a 1.5K resolution. The smartphone’s frame is expected to be flat and made of metal, while the back will feature a glass panel.

As for the processor, the X100S might be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus SoC manufactured on a 4nm process. The notable difference between the regular Dimensity 9300 and the Plus model could be faster clock speeds.

For reference, the 9300 has one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 GPU.

The upcoming flagship from Vivo is rumored to debut in China later this month. However, the company has yet to officially confirm any details about the smartphone’s release to date, making a March launch seem unlikely.

As per the leaker, the phone will be available in four colors. These will be white, black, cyan, and titanium.

As for the body, the device will sport a flat metal frame and a glass back. Thus, it will also flaunt a flat display instead of a curved screen like the vanilla X100.

This panel will offer a 1.5K resolution and minimal bezels. Under the hood, the smartphone will house a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. Finally, it will support 100W wired charging.

For comparison, the Vivo X100 arrives with a curved display, and therefore, it also lacks a flat frame. The colors are about the same, except that instead of cyan, it is offered in orange.

The phone is powered by an older Dimensity 9300 chip, which is only a bit slower. However, it supports a faster 120W wired charging standard.

As far as launch is concerned, the Vivo X100s is anticipated to go official by late March. Hence, we are looking forward to learning more about the device in the coming days.

Vivo’s next-generation foldables, tablets expected by late March

According to DCS, the Vivo X Fold 3 series and the Vivo Pad 3 lineup will be announced by late March. Reports have revealed that the X Fold lineup will include two models, such as the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro. Both models are said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively.

On the other hand, the Vivo Pad 3 lineup may include two models, such as the Vivo Pad 3 and Pad 3 Pro. The standard model is expected to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, whereas the Pro variant is likely to arrive as the first tablet powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset. It is said that the rumored iQOO Pad 2 tablet for the Chinese market would be a rebranded version of the Vivo Pad 3 or Pad 3 Pro.

In the comments section of the Weibo post, DCS also mentioned that the rumored Vivo X100s will not launch in March. This indicates that the X100s could be debuting in the second quarter of the year.

For those who don’t know, the X100s may debut as the world’s first smartphone powered by the Dimensity 9300+ chipset. A high end Vivo X100s smartphone model is apparently in the works. But ahead of any official announcement, a fresh leak has hinted at some of the upcoming flagship device’s key specifications. So here’s everything you need to know.

Vivo X100s Specs Leaked

The news arrives from known tipster Digital Chat Station who shared the new details on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). For those unaware, the X100 lineup is the brand’s premium grade handsets, so the X100s would arrive as the latest entry in this series. The tipster claims that the upcoming smartphone will feature MediaTek’s most powerful Dimensity chipset.

It will reportedly be equipped with the Dimenity 9300+ SoC. Digital Chat Station further added that the X100s could also sport a flat OLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution. The Dimensity 9300+ is likely an overclocked version of the regular Dimensity 9300, which is a high end chip that powers current gen flagship devices. Reportedly, the upcoming handset will even offer 100W wired fast charging and be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack.

This is slightly slower than the 120W fast charging featured in the base X100 model. Digital Chat Station claims that the X100s houses a short focus optical in-display fingerprint scanner as well as a metal frame, and a glass rear panel. It is unclear if a leather variant is planned for this model. Although, the device is rumored to arrive in four color options, which will include a white variant. The Vivo X100s is expected to debut alongside the Vivo X Fold 4 and Vivo Pad 3 series next month in China, so stick around for more updates.

The launch was postponed and it is now speculated to debut in the first half of 2024. Now, reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some details about the upcoming Vivo 100 phones.  

Vivo X100 Pro+, X100s key details tipped

DCS has not explicitly revealed the names of the upcoming Vivo flagship phones. As per the tipster, one device will feature a 1.5K display with 2160Hz PWM high-frequency dimming whereas the other will have a 2K Samsung E7 panel with 1440Hz PWM dimming. These two devices are expected to be the Vivo X100s and X100 Pro+. DCS also adds that the upcoming Vivo flagship will feature a 50MP Sony LYT 900 1-inch main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200MP periscope unit.

A past report revealed that the Vivo X100 Pro+ may come with satellite communication technology. The device will have the same design as the X100 and X100 Pro. Internally, it will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor coupled with 24GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB UFS 4 storage. The smartphone is tipped to be backed by a 5,400mAh battery unit with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. 

Meanwhile, the Vivo X100s is rumored to be equipped with a Dimensity 9300 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery with support for either 100W or 80W charging. It is tipped to come with two 50MP camera sensors and a 64MP telephoto lens.

Today, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has shed some light on the X100s’ alleged specs. If the rumors are true, the X100s will be quite similar to its curved sibling, except for the display. It’s expected to sport a 6.78-inch BOE 8T OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a likely 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the X100s is tipped to pack the same Dimensity 9300 chip as the Vivo X100. It’ll also likely come with a generous 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support, possibly at 120W or even 80W.

In the camera department, the X100s is rumored to have a triple-lens setup on the back. The main sensor could be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 with optical image stabilization (OIS), joined by a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. No word on the selfie camera yet, but it might inherit the X100’s 32-megapixel front-facing shooter.

Besides this, Vivo is also expected to launch an X100 Pro+ smartphone. It will be the top-of-the-line variant in the lineup, expected to come with a whopping 200MP periscope telephoto lens which is said to support 200x digital zoom.

As for the launch, Vivo is expected to hold an event in China sometime in the first quarter of 2024 where it might announce the Vivo X100s. The X100 Pro+ smartphone might also debut alongside it, but if we go by previous report, the company may announce the smartphone in the second quarter of 2024.

However, these devices were not announced alongside the X100 and X100 Pro. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed when to expect the X100’s flat display variant.

Recent reports have revealed that Vivo will announce the Vivo X100 Pro+ in April 2024. Some reports have claimed that the company may call it the X100 Ultra instead of the Pro+. While the exact name of the device is yet to be determined, DCS’s latest leak claims that a new device named the Vivo X100s is tentatively scheduled to debut alongside the X100 Pro+.

The Vivo X100s will be a flat-screen version of the regular Vivo X100, which features a curved-edge OLED panel. Apart from featuring a different display, all the other specifications of the X100s are expected to remain identical to the X100. Here is a look at the specifications and price of the X100.

Vivo X100 specifications and price

The Vivo X100 features a 6.78-inch curved-OLED LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution (2800 x 1260 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, a brightness of 3000 nits, and an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner. It is powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset, with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The front camera is a 32-megapixel Samsung GD2, and the device runs on Android 14 with OriginOS 4.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX920 VCS main camera with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens with a 150-degree field of view, and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope lens with a 70mm telephoto capability and OIS. The color options include Chenye Black, Moonlight White, Star Trail Blue, and Sunset Orange with a leather back.
