In the month of March, the Chinese manufacturer had launched the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x21/">Vivo X21</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x21-ud/">Vivo X21 UD</a> featuring an under-display fingerprint scanner in China. For India, the company has decided to launch the Vivo X21 UD smartphone as Vivo X21. Apart from in-screen fingerprint reader, the Vivo X21 has some exciting features such as notched display that offers high screen-to-body ratio and AI powered dual rear cameras.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-193506" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-Header.png?x10805" alt="" width="961" height="354" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-Header.png 961w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-Header-300x111.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-Header-768x283.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 961px) 100vw, 961px" /></p>

<p>The Vivo X21 that measures 154.5 x 74.8 x 7.4 mm is flanked with 3D glass on its rear and it features a metallic frame in between. The device weighs 156.2 grams.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-193511" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-dual-cameras.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="1234" height="749" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-dual-cameras.jpg 1234w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-dual-cameras-300x182.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-dual-cameras-768x466.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Vivo-X21-dual-cameras-1024x622.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1234px) 100vw, 1234px" /></p>
<p>The Vivo X21 houses a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED FullView display that produces FHD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The company has claimed that the handset offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent. The display support sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamut. The X21 is also equipped with Always-On Display feature that shows notifications and time on the screen without turning on the display. The notch present at the top portion of the screen houses a selfie snapper, an earpiece and some sensors.</p>

<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-179862" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Black-c.jpg?x10805" alt="Vivo X21 Black" width="800" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Black-c.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Black-c-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Black-c-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Black-c-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Black-c-270x270.jpg 270w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p>Screenshots of a document were posted online yesterday and they reveal most of the details of Vivo&#8217;s upcoming flagship.</p>
<p>The leak confirms that the Vivo X21 will launch in two variants &#8211; a regular version with its fingerprint scanner on the back and a UD version with its fingerprint scanner underneath the display. The rest of the specs are the same.</p>
<p>The X21 will have a 6.28&#8221; display FHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. That aspect ratio means it will have a notch just like the OPPO R15.</p>
<p>A 2.2GHz octa-core processor, which is Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 660 processor, will handle tasks. It will be matched with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Storage can still be expanded if you wish by up to an additional 256GB via a MicroSD card slot.</p>
<p>The Vivo X21 will come with Android 8.1 Oreo and pack a 3200mAh battery. It will also have Bluetooth 5.0, dual band WiFi, USB 2.0, OTG, GPS and face unlock.</p>
<p>The Vivo X21 UD with an in-display fingerprint scanner will be available in Ice Drill Black and Ruby Red. The regular X21 will come in the aforementioned colors in addition to Aurora White.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-179861" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Camera-Samples.jpg?x10805" alt="Vivo X21 Camera Samples" width="869" height="2048" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Camera-Samples.jpg 869w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Camera-Samples-127x300.jpg 127w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Camera-Samples-768x1810.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Vivo-X21-Camera-Samples-435x1024.jpg 435w" sizes="(max-width: 869px) 100vw, 869px" /></p>

<p>Ahead of the launch tomorrow, popular online shop, Jingdong, has listed the phone for those who want to pre-order. The listing has official renders of the regular variant (Ice Drill Black) and some camera samples and promotional images.</p>

The last major release by the company was the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x20-plus-ud/">Vivo X20 UD</a> edition, which is basically the under display fingerprint version of the current flagship. Then there&#8217;s the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-apex/">Vivo Apex</a> as well, one of the most beautiful concepts we&#8217;ve seen this year, but even that&#8217;ll take time to hit the markets. This means that the company has a good few months in between wherein it can launch its next major flagship model. That&#8217;s likely going to be called as the Vivo X21, considering the recent <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x21/">3C certification of a few models under the same name</a>.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/40bd0310-21bb-11e8-8209-ddca2280be3d.jpg-hm.jpeg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-177446" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/40bd0310-21bb-11e8-8209-ddca2280be3d.jpg-hm.jpeg?x10805" alt="vivo x21 poster" width="515" height="505" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/40bd0310-21bb-11e8-8209-ddca2280be3d.jpg-hm.jpeg 515w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/40bd0310-21bb-11e8-8209-ddca2280be3d.jpg-hm-300x294.jpeg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px" /></a></p>
<p>Now a new poster of the Vivo X21 has been spotted online revealing a key feature of the device. Apart from the dual cameras that can be spotted at the back of the phone, the advertisement clearly highlights the fingerprint icon on the screen. This means that the Vivo X21 is likely going to be equipped with an under display fingerprint sensor. Given that it&#8217;s going to be the direct successor to the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x20/"> Vivo X20</a>, seeing the Synaptics ClearID sensor inside its screen won&#8217;t be a surprise. Further, at the time of its 3C certification, the Vivo X21A model was listed in four different variants, and one of them included a UD (under display fingerprint) variant. This also means that there could be regular versions of the Vivo X21, without the in screen fingerprint that could be cheaper.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all we know about the X21 flagship so far. However, considering its high-end placement, expect nothing less than Snapdragon 670 and 6GB of RAM inside the device. More details should be revealed in the coming days, so stay tuned!</p>
