<p>The rear panel uses a gradient design which seems to show the seven different colours found on a rainbow. The back panel adopts the AG frosting process to make the color change with the change of angle, and at the same time add the visual experience of light smoke and soft mist. The panel also has a soft and delicate tactile feel.</p>

<p>The star of the moment still remains the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L SoC powering the OPPO Reno3 5G. The processor maintained its lead of this category with an average score of 407340 points. That is a wide gap between the Reno3 5G and the Exynos 980-powered Vivo X30 5G in the second spot. The gap between the first and second-ranked model is more than 80,000 points, showing the prowess of the Dimensity 1000L. The Reno3 5G was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/12/official-website-confirms-reno3-will-be-powered-by-mediateks-dimensity-1000l-5g-soc/">launched in December 2019</a> and has stayed consecutively atop AnTuTu&#8217;s midrange chart since January, thanks to the MediaTek SoC.</p>
<p>The Dimensity 1000L is built with a 7nm process and uses the Cortex-A77 architecture in an octa-core arrangement. The GPU uses the G77 architecture and the SoC also comes with built-in 5G baseband. The chipset equally supports NSA / SA dual-mode 5G.</p>
<figure id="attachment_298320" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-298320" style="width: 640px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/oppo-reno3-1.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-298320" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/oppo-reno3-1.jpg?x44794" alt="oppo" width="640" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/oppo-reno3-1.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/oppo-reno3-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/oppo-reno3-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-298320" class="wp-caption-text">OPPO Reno3 Pro</figcaption></figure>
<p>The Redmi K30 5G packing a Snapdragon 765G processor maintained the third position. OPPO’s latest Reno3 Pro 5G enters at the fourth spot. The four models are the only 5G model in the top 10 midrange chart.</p>
<p>Huawei’s Hisilicon Kirin 810 chipset propelled five different Huawei and Honor models into the list. The phones include the Honor 9X Pro, Huawei Nova 6 SE, Honor 9X, Honor 20S and the Huawei Nova 5i, all occupying the fifth to ninth spots in that order.</p>
<p>Another MediaTek chipset, the Helio G90T makes the cut onboard the Redmi Note 8 Pro and with an average score of 289257 points.</p>
<p>With the launch of several models powered by the Snapdragon 765G, we expect the list to change pretty soon but the Dimensity 1000L&#8217;s dominance doesn&#8217;t seem to have any contender. However, the top 10 mid-range chart may soon be dominated by 5G phones in the coming months considering the rising number of 5G mid-range phones that are being released in quick succession.</p>

Second, it is the world&#8217;s first pair of smartphones to be powered by the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/11/samsung-exynos-980-specifications-revealed-debuts-in-the-a71-5g/"> 5G integrated Exynos 980 chipset</a>. This is a newfound relationship between <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo">Vivo</a> &amp; <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> with the company revealing that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/06/vivo-and-samsung-5g-joint-conference-will-be-held-on-november-7/">it even contributed in the development of the chip</a>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Vivo X30 vs Vivo X30 Pro: Design</strong></h3>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Screenshot-2019-12-31-at-11.44.46-AM.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-298126" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Screenshot-2019-12-31-at-11.44.46-AM.png?x44794" alt="Vivo X30 vs X30 Pro" width="709" height="371" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Screenshot-2019-12-31-at-11.44.46-AM.png 709w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Screenshot-2019-12-31-at-11.44.46-AM-300x157.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Screenshot-2019-12-31-at-11.44.46-AM-696x364.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 709px) 100vw, 709px" /></a></p>
<p>When you look at <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x30/">Vivo X30</a> vs <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x30-pro-5g/">Vivo X30 Pro</a>, there are hardly any differences. They have an almost identical design, which includes a vertical camera setup at the back and a punch-hole display with a small 2.98mm diameter hole for the selfie camera on the top right corner.</p>
<p>However, the only difference between the two devices, in terms of both specifications as well as design is its camera setup. While the X30 gets a triple camera setup at the back, there&#8217;s an additional periscope shooter on the Pro variant, making it a quad-camera setup. Both phones come in a glass back and have the same color variants.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Vivo X30 vs Vivo X30 Pro: Specifications</strong></h3>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Samsung-Exynos-980-5G-chipset.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-288862" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Samsung-Exynos-980-5G-chipset.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Exynos 980 5G chipset" width="874" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Samsung-Exynos-980-5G-chipset.jpg 874w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Samsung-Exynos-980-5G-chipset-300x172.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Samsung-Exynos-980-5G-chipset-768x439.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Samsung-Exynos-980-5G-chipset-696x398.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Samsung-Exynos-980-5G-chipset-734x420.jpg 734w" sizes="(max-width: 874px) 100vw, 874px" /></a></p>
<p>Once again, there are hardly any differences between the two devices in terms of core specifications. Both smartphones are powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/04/samsung-exynos-980-announced/">5G-integrated Exynos 980 chipset</a> that features 2 x Cortex A77 cores and 6 x Cortex A55 cores. The 5G modem inside the Exynos 980 chip supports SA and NSA networks (n41 and n78 bands). Both phones come with 2.4GHz, 5GHz, 5.8GHz WiFi; Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and an audio jack. Yes, both the devices have a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, unlike competitors<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/31/oppo-reno3-vs-reno3-pro-5g-whats-the-big-difference/"> like the Reno3 series</a>.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s 8GB of RAM onboard with two storage variants; 128GB and 256GB. Note that the storages are UFS 2.1 and not UFS 3.0 like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-7t/">OnePlus 7T</a>. You get the exact same 6.44-inch Super AMOLED HDR display on both the devices with an in-display fingerprint sensor. A 4350mAh battery powers both the devices with 30W fast charging.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Vivo X30 vs Vivo X30 Pro: Camera</strong></h3>
<p>So far, the Vivo X30 and the X30 Pro have been identical. But there&#8217;s a $100 difference between the two devices! And Vivo justifies that with the fourth additional camera on the Vivo X30 Pro.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Vivo-X30-Series-featured.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-295479" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Vivo-X30-Series-featured.png?x44794" alt="Vivo X30 Series featured" width="1033" height="571" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Vivo-X30-Series-featured.png 1033w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Vivo-X30-Series-featured-300x166.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Vivo-X30-Series-featured-768x425.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Vivo-X30-Series-featured-1024x566.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Vivo-X30-Series-featured-696x385.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Vivo-X30-Series-featured-760x420.png 760w" sizes="(max-width: 1033px) 100vw, 1033px" /></a></p>
<p>The standard X30 comes with a 64MP f/1.8 primary camera (OIS), a 32MP f/2.0 telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom, 20x digital zoom, and 50mm focal length, and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide shooter. The setup on the Vivo X30 Pro is exactly the same as the basic X30 model. But the fourth camera on the side is the real game-changer. It&#8217;s a special periscope 13MP camera with f/3.0 aperture shooter featuring 5x optical zoom and a whopping 60x digital zoom. It&#8217;s no surprise that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/27/vivo-x30-pro-5g-camera-samples-showcase-vivid-zoom-photos-including-60x-zoom/">X30 Pro gets its own special moon mode</a> as well. It&#8217;s also worth adding that each of the three cameras (except for the ultrawide lens) have OIS on board.</p>
<p>Upfront, a 32MP f/2.4 shooter takes care of your selfie needs on both the devices.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3><strong>Vivo X30 vs Vivo X30 Pro: Price</strong></h3>
<p>With the additional periscope camera being the only addition on the X30 Pro, a $100 price difference seems a bit too much. The standard Vivo X30 is priced at ¥3298 (~$472) for the 128GB version and ¥3598 (~$515) for the 256GB version. On the other hand, the Vivo X30 Pro starts at ¥3998 (~$573) for the 128GB version and goes up to ¥4298 (~$616) for the 256GB version. Both the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/24/vivo-x30-pro-goes-on-sale-in-china-for-3998-yuan-570/">phones are on sale in China right now</a>, but no word on an international release date yet.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Do you think the $100 price difference between the two models is justified?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

The BBK subsidiaries have in recent times explored designs that are beyond the ordinary as well deployed enhancements in both the software and hardware aspects. <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x30-pro">Vivo X30 Pro</a> is one of such smartphones that is expected to present with several improvements and the camera aspect is a major rallying point. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-x30-pro.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-295153" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-x30-pro.png?x44794" alt="Vivo X30 Pro" width="589" height="417" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-x30-pro.png 589w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-x30-pro-300x212.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-x30-pro-100x70.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 589px) 100vw, 589px" /></a></p>
<p>Vivo&#8217;s product line manager Luan Xinlin has shared what looks like the night time moon shot captured with the X30 Pro main camera. From the picture, we can see that the camera was able to capture the moon clearly with vivid clarity.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-v30.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-295154" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-v30.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-v30.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-v30-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-v30-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-v30-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vivo-v30-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></p>

<p>The moon capture is possible by the periscope lens the device features. As a reminder, the Vivo X30 Pro is said to be equipped with a quad-camera setup that will include a primary lens of 64-megapixel, teaming up with a 32-megapixel portrait lens, an 8-megapixel superwide lens and a 13-megapixel <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/27/vivo-x30s-new-poster-reveal-quad-camera-system-with-periscope-lens/">periscope lens</a>. <p>We have been hearing about the Vivo X30 5G for the past few days. It was earlier reported that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/28/vivo-x30-5g-phone-likely-powered-by-exynos-980-to-launch-in-december/">phone will launch in December</a>, but after today&#8217;s post, we may see it as soon as November. The X30 5G will reportedly support both NSA (non-standalone) and SA (standalone) <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/5g">5G</a> dual-mode networks, all thanks to the Exynos 980 chipset inside. Given its naming scheme, the phone should likely be marketed as a relatively affordable 5G option, placed below the flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-nex-3-5g/">Vivo NEX 3 5G</a>.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-285909" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo X30 5G" width="1200" height="675" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-f-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></p>
<p>According to previous reports, the Vivo X30 should come with a pop-up selfie camera along with a full-screen <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/waterfall">waterfall</a> display, similar to the NEX 3. Other expected features include a triple camera setup at the back and an in-display fingerprint sensor.</p>
<p>If the X30 is really launching on November 7, expect a lot more details in the coming days.</p>

New details regarding the device have surfaced and it reveals the phone will launch in December as the Vivo X30 5G.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-285913" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-b.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo X30 5G" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-b.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-b-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-b-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-b-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Vivo-X30-5G-b-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The source of the info is a blogger on Weibo that goes by @it科技站 (<em>IT Station)</em>. The Vivo X30 5G should be the successor to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x27/">Vivo X27</a> that launched in March 2019. There is no info on a Pro model but we won&#8217;t rule out the possibility of that launching later.</p>
<p>This is not the first time the Vivo X30 has surfaced on the web. The first time was in June when <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/17/vivo-x30-y19-names-trademarked-with-wipo/">Vivo applied for a trademark at the World Intellectual Property Office</a>. However, since this has 5G added to its name, there may also be a version without 5G support.</p>
<p>The Vivo X30 5G should be an upper mid-range 5G device with a price tag lower than Vivo&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-nex-3-5g/">NEX 3 5G</a> flagship. The NEX 3 5G has a starting price of ¥5698 (~$806).</p>
<p>The leak reveals some promotional images of the device and they show the phone has a screen devoid of a notch and punch hole. So we should get a pop-up selfie camera just like the X27. The screen of the phone also appears to be a waterfall display judging by the curves.</p>

<p>Another of the image shows the device will have three rear cameras arranged vertically and housed together. There is no fingerprint scanner on the back and Vivo is not one to use a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which leaves us with an in-display fingerprint scanner.</p>
<p>Other details of the Vivo X30 5G should surface in the weeks leading up to its announcement.</p>
