Over the weekend, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed key details about the upcoming Vivo X500e. Now, a new leak courtesy of tipster Smart Pikachu suggests that the lineup will include as many as four models. At the same time, Digital Chat Station is back with another leak revealing more details about the Vivo X500 Pro Max.

Vivo X500 series variants revealed

As seen in the latest leak, tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the Vivo X500 series will include four models: the Vivo X500e, X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. While the leak does not mention them, the brand may also introduce two additional models, namely the X500s and X500 Ultra, in the first half of 2027.

Vivo X500 Pro Max key details tipped

According to Digital Chat Station, the current Vivo X500 Pro Max engineering prototype is said to feature a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel is reportedly manufactured using LIPO packaging technology, allowing for ultra-slim, symmetrical bezels on all four sides. It is also tipped to feature large, rounded corners and a 2.5D flat display, with BOE expected to supply the panel.

The leak further claims that the engineering prototype is equipped with LPDDR6 RAM, indicating that Vivo could be among the first smartphone brands to adopt the next-generation memory standard. This also suggests that the device may be powered by the upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.

On the camera front, the X500 Pro Max is tipped to retain a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor. According to previous reports, it will also feature a Sony LYT-838 50-megapixel primary camera with LOFIC technology, a 50-megapixel IMX8-series ultra-wide camera.

As for the battery, Digital Chat Station says Vivo is targeting a capacity beginning with the number “8,” suggesting that the phone could pack an 8,000mAh-class battery. However, the battery design has reportedly not been finalized yet.

As always, these details are based on an early engineering prototype, so the final specifications could change before launch.

Except for the X500e, all of the other models are said to be powered by the upcoming Dimensity 9600-series chip. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), has revealed the key specifications of the X500e for the first time.

Vivo X500e key specifications tipped

According to DCS, Vivo is preparing to launch a new e-branded phone in the X500 series. The leak reveals that the device could feature a 6.59-inch compact display and a Snapdragon 8-series chip. While the tipster did not specify the name of the phone, it appears that he could be referring to the Vivo X500e.

He further revealed that the device will feature a top-left square camera module housing ZEISS-tuned cameras. This means it will be sport a different design as compared to the other X500 models, which are expected to sport a round camera module. While the camera details remain under wraps, the device is tipped to include an IMX8-series periscope telephoto camera with a large sensor.

No launch timeline or additional specifications have been revealed yet. Hence, it is unclear whether the device will launch alongside the other Dimensity 9600-series-powered X500 models that are expected to break cover in September. Considering the fact that the phone is said to feature a Snapdragon 8-series chip, it may not launch alongside the other X500 models.

The more likely launch timeline for the X500e appears to be alongside the Vivo X500 Ultra, which is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip. Hence, it appears that the X500e and X500 Ultra may debut together in the first half of 2027. However, it is too early to make any conclusions.

Vivo X500 FE’s existence in limbo

To recall, the China-exclusive Vivo S50 Pro Mini was rebranded as the Vivo X300 FE in global markets. The brand recently released the Vivo S60 series, comprising the S60 and S60e (also known as the Vitality Edition), in China. Surprisingly, Vivo skipped the S60 Pro Mini, and it is being said that the Vivo X500e will launch in its place in China.

As there may not be an S60 Pro Mini this time, it appears there may not be a Vivo X500 FE either, as the brand could launch the X500e in both China and global markets. Again, this is only an assumption, and readers should take rumors about the X500 FE’s non-existence with a pinch of salt.

As can be seen in the image shared by the publication, the X500 Pro Max has also been registered in the IMEI database. The branding suggests that it will be Vivo’s topmost model this year until the rumored Vivo X500 Ultra arrives in the first half of 2027.

Apart from this, the Vivo X500e, Vivo X500, and Vivo X500 Pro have also been spotted at IMEI database. While the X500 lineup is expected to launch in Spetember this year, it is unclear whether all four models will be unveiled at the same time.

Previous reports have revealed that the X500 Pro Max will feature a 6.9-inch 2K AMOLED screen. Under the hood, it may feature the Dimensity 9600 series chip and a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity with 100W wired and wireless charging support.

Vivo X500 series’ primary camera details tipped

In the above Weibo post, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has suggested that the X500 lineup is currently undergoing testing with a focus on significant imaging upgrades. According to latest reports, three models in the Dimensity-powered iteration line are being tested with 50-megapixel main cameras featuring approximately 1/1.28-inch ultra-large sensors. Other reports suggest that this could be the upcoming Sony LYT-838 camera sensor.

Furthermore, the higher-end “Pro” and “Pro+” (Pro Max) variants, which are referred to as the “big cup” and “extra-big cup” in the leak, are expected to incorporate LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integrator Capacitor) sensor technology. This technology is designed to significantly improve dynamic range and prevent overexposure in challenging lighting conditions.

Vivo’s next flagship lineup is starting to show up online. Fresh entries spotted in the GSMA IMEI database have now confirmed the existence of the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500e. That also means Vivo appears to be skipping the X400 branding entirely.

The listings suggest the phones are moving closer to launch and international certification. Leaks surrounding the lineup point toward Vivo continuing its usual formula: strong cameras, premium displays, and a heavy focus on imaging features.

The standard X500 is rumored to feature a 6.37-inch display, while the X500 Pro could use a 6.83-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel with high refresh rates. That would make both devices slightly larger than last year’s X300 (6.31-inch) and X300 Pro (6.78-inch). The lineup is expected to retain the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors.

On the chipset side, Vivo is reportedly sticking with MediaTek again. Early reports suggest the series could debut the Dimensity 9600 family, which is expected to use TSMC’s newer 2nm process. If that ends up being accurate, efficiency and sustained performance could see a pretty noticeable jump compared to current-generation chips.

Cameras, unsurprisingly, remain the bigger talking point. The Pro models are rumored to feature newer LOFIC sensor technology, which is designed to improve highlight handling and dynamic range in difficult lighting conditions. There’s also talk of a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, something Vivo has been gradually pushing toward over the last few generations.

Nothing here is official yet, but the IMEI listings are usually a good sign that development is moving along steadily. Vivo is expected to unveil the X500 lineup in China sometime around September or October before expanding availability to other regions later on. For now, though, the X500 series already looks like Vivo doubling down on the areas it’s become known for: cameras, battery life, and increasingly ambitious hardware.
