A recent report revealed that the Vivo X500 series will include three devices, as their names were found listed in the IMEI database. Now, a report, courtesy of SmartPrix, reveals that another X500-series model has emerged in the said database. At the same time, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the primary camera details of the entire X500 lineup.

Vivo X500 Pro Max moniker spotted at IMEI database

As can be seen in the image shared by the publication, the X500 Pro Max has also been registered in the IMEI database. The branding suggests that it will be Vivo’s topmost model this year until the rumored Vivo X500 Ultra arrives in the first half of 2027.

Apart from this, the Vivo X500e, Vivo X500, and Vivo X500 Pro have also been spotted at IMEI database. While the X500 lineup is expected to launch in Spetember this year, it is unclear whether all four models will be unveiled at the same time.

Previous reports have revealed that the X500 Pro Max will feature a 6.9-inch 2K AMOLED screen. Under the hood, it may feature the Dimensity 9600 series chip and a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity with 100W wired and wireless charging support.

Vivo X500 series’ primary camera details tipped

In the above Weibo post, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has suggested that the X500 lineup is currently undergoing testing with a focus on significant imaging upgrades. According to latest reports, three models in the Dimensity-powered iteration line are being tested with 50-megapixel main cameras featuring approximately 1/1.28-inch ultra-large sensors. Other reports suggest that this could be the upcoming Sony LYT-838 camera sensor.

Furthermore, the higher-end “Pro” and “Pro+” (Pro Max) variants, which are referred to as the “big cup” and “extra-big cup” in the leak, are expected to incorporate LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integrator Capacitor) sensor technology. This technology is designed to significantly improve dynamic range and prevent overexposure in challenging lighting conditions.

Vivo’s next flagship lineup is starting to show up online. Fresh entries spotted in the GSMA IMEI database have now confirmed the existence of the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500e. That also means Vivo appears to be skipping the X400 branding entirely.

The listings suggest the phones are moving closer to launch and international certification. Leaks surrounding the lineup point toward Vivo continuing its usual formula: strong cameras, premium displays, and a heavy focus on imaging features.

The standard X500 is rumored to feature a 6.37-inch display, while the X500 Pro could use a 6.83-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel with high refresh rates. That would make both devices slightly larger than last year’s X300 (6.31-inch) and X300 Pro (6.78-inch). The lineup is expected to retain the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors.

On the chipset side, Vivo is reportedly sticking with MediaTek again. Early reports suggest the series could debut the Dimensity 9600 family, which is expected to use TSMC’s newer 2nm process. If that ends up being accurate, efficiency and sustained performance could see a pretty noticeable jump compared to current-generation chips.

Cameras, unsurprisingly, remain the bigger talking point. The Pro models are rumored to feature newer LOFIC sensor technology, which is designed to improve highlight handling and dynamic range in difficult lighting conditions. There’s also talk of a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, something Vivo has been gradually pushing toward over the last few generations.

Nothing here is official yet, but the IMEI listings are usually a good sign that development is moving along steadily. Vivo is expected to unveil the X500 lineup in China sometime around September or October before expanding availability to other regions later on. For now, though, the X500 series already looks like Vivo doubling down on the areas it’s become known for: cameras, battery life, and increasingly ambitious hardware.
