The series will comprise the X80, X80 Pro, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x80-pro-plus/">X80 Pro Plus</a> smartphones. While the details for the vanilla X80 are scarce, we do know that the Pro and Pro Plus will power Dimensity and Snapdragon chips, respectively. Now, the popular tipster DigitalChatStation has cryptically revealed the Dimensity-powered Vivo X80 Pro will come with Sony&#8217;s IMX8-series sensor.</p>
<p>The tipster reveals that, as for Vivo, the IMX8-series sensor will be supported by a Dimensity 9000-powered device. As of now, the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x80-pro/"> Vivo X80 Pro</a> is the only upcoming Vivo phone to come with the aforementioned chipset. Having said that, we can believe that the upcoming Vivo X80 Pro will come with the new IMX8-series or IMX800 sensor.</p>
<p>As per the tipster, this IMX8-series sensor will be a 50MP primary unit. To recall, the previous rumors have revealed that the X80 Pro will come with a 50MP + 12MP + 12MP + 12MP quad-camera setup. So, the 50MP tipped unit is in line with the past leaks, however, the previous leak <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/08/vivo-x80-pro-plus-x80-pro-detailed-specification-leak-emerge-online/">revealed</a> an IMX789 sensor, instead of the now rumored IMX8-series/IMX800 sensor.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-449431 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Vivo-X80-Pro.png?x44794" alt="Vivo X80 Pro" width="639" height="163" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Vivo-X80-Pro.png 639w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Vivo-X80-Pro-300x77.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 639px) 100vw, 639px" /></p>
<p>Furthermore, the tipster says that the phone will also have the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/09/06/vivo-v1-isp-chip-launched/">V1 Image Signal Processor</a>. To those unaware, the Vivo V1 is the company&#8217;s self-developed chip that offers an array of benefits. The chip brings better image processing and also enables high computing power and low power consumption. Currently, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x70/">Vivo X70</a> series has the V1 ISP.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-449255 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Vivo-X80-Pro.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo X80 Pro+" width="500" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Vivo-X80-Pro.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Vivo-X80-Pro-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Vivo-X80-Pro-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Vivo-X80-Pro-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>The Vivo could be amongst the first devices with the IMX8/IMX800 series sensor. Honor will be another brand to bring this sensor to its phones. A recent leak from <em><a href="https://twitter.com/RODENT950/status/1501877533448548355?s=20&amp;t=DQ-jGjqIFyEDcGLAi3XJZA" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">@RODENT950</a></em> revealed that the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/honor-magic-4-pro">Honor Magic 4 Pro+</a> will also feature an IMX800 sensor.</p>
<h2><strong>Vivo X80 Pro Specifications (Rumored)</strong></h2>
<p>Other than this, the Vivo X80 Pro is tipped to come with a 6.78-inch FHD+ E5 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth. It will have the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9000">MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC</a> paired with 6GB/8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB of USF 3.1 internal storage.</p>
<p>As mentioned earlier, it will have a 50MP quad-camera system. The secondary lens will be a 12MP ultra-wide lens(IMX663 sensor), a 12MP tertiary lens with 2x optical zoom, and lastly a 12MP telephoto lens with 10x hybrid and 60x &#8220;code zoom&#8221;. It is said to have a 32MP selfie shooter.</p>
<p>It will pack a 4,700mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. The phone will run on Android 12 OS and have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is tipped to cost around CNY 5,699(~$898).</p>

The two results were from AnTuTu and Geekbench and the Vivo smartphone is codenamed V2186A.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-antutu.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-445060" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-antutu.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo X80 Pro AnTuTu" width="513" height="900" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-antutu.jpg 513w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-antutu-171x300.jpg 171w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-antutu-239x420.jpg 239w" sizes="(max-width: 513px) 100vw, 513px" /></a></p>
<p>Following the trajectory of the previous Vivo lineup, the X70, it is likely that the current model may be the Vivo X80 Pro. The overall AnTuTu score for the model was 1,072,221, while the Geekbench results were 1,248 and 4,191 for the single-core and multi-core tests respectively.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-geekbench.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-445061" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-geekbench.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="290" height="900" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-geekbench.jpg 290w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-geekbench-97x300.jpg 97w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/vivo-x80-geekbench-135x420.jpg 135w" sizes="(max-width: 290px) 100vw, 290px" /></a></p>
<p>As per the AnTuTu results, the vivo X80 model outperforms both the Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen chipsets which power the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. As we know the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the flagship offering in the S22 series. Similarly, the vivo X80 Pro’s Dimensity 9000 also outperformed both the Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the single-core and multi-core rests via Geekbench.</p>
<p>Although there are few details available for the possible release date of the vivo X80 Pro, its performance will put it on the high end of the flagship segment when it enters the market.</p>
