If that indeed happens, it would mean the arrival of five flagship phones together, which isn&#8217;t something you see often. Ahead of the purported big day, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed some of the specs of the vivo X80 Pro.</p>
<p>The vivo X80 Pro should be one of three models and will be sold alongside the vivo X80 and vivo X80 Pro+, just like last year&#8217;s vivo X70 series. The tipster says that it will be powered by the top-of-the-line MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor and will be taking gaming into consideration, featuring a 4000mm² VC plate for heat dissipation. As such, it will be supporting the Honor of Kings game at 120Hz right out of the box.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-452223 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/vivo-x80-pro-dcs-specs-1024x693.png?x44794" alt="vivo x80 pro dcs specs" width="696" height="471" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/vivo-x80-pro-dcs-specs-1024x693.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/vivo-x80-pro-dcs-specs-300x203.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/vivo-x80-pro-dcs-specs-768x520.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/vivo-x80-pro-dcs-specs-696x471.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/vivo-x80-pro-dcs-specs-1068x723.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/vivo-x80-pro-dcs-specs-621x420.png 621w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/vivo-x80-pro-dcs-specs.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>In terms of display, it will have a 6.78&#8243; FHD+ E5 AMOLED curved panel with a single punch-hole for the selfie camera. The display will also support DC dimming and will therefore be easy on the eyes. The haptics experience should be top-notch too, thanks to the presence of X-axis linear motor.</p>
<p>Lastly, the phone will have a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery, which will likely support 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.</p>
<p>Jia Jingdong, vice president of vivo brand, earlier said that the original NEX series&#8217; legacy of innovation will not disappear, and will instead be carried forward by the flagship product X series.</p>

<p>However, a new report by popular Weibo tipster <a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/LcSdNvnNG#comment" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>DigitalChatStation</em></a> states that the entire X80 lineup will be getting 80W fast charging support.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-440283" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Vivo-x80-80W-fast-charging.png?x44794" alt="Vivo X80 80W fast charging" width="798" height="238" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Vivo-x80-80W-fast-charging.png 798w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Vivo-x80-80W-fast-charging-300x89.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Vivo-x80-80W-fast-charging-768x229.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Vivo-x80-80W-fast-charging-696x208.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 798px) 100vw, 798px" /></p>
<p>According to the report, the Chinese smartphone giant Vivo is currently working on developing 100W fast-charging technology. The report further states that new flagship phones for the brand will all be getting 80W fast-charging support. The upcoming flagship-level smartphone from Vivo that we know about so far are the X80 series and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/14/vivo-nex-5-may-have-a-5x-telephoto-lens-snapdragon-8-gen-1-soc-and-a-phablet-like-screen/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Vivo NEX 5</a>. So we can expect both of them to get 80W charging.</p>
<p>The leakster states that the 120W fast charging remains exclusive to iQOO, which is a sub-brand of Vivo leaving Vivo fans to wonder why the company is developing 100W fast-charging when their sub-brand already has products that offer 120W charging support like the iQOO 9 series.</p>

<p>For photography, the Vivo X80 Pro is expected to come with a quad-camera setup at the rear. This may include a 50MP primary lens, a 49MP <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/sony" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sony</a> IMX598 sensor, a 50MP sensor with 2x optical zoom, and another 50MP lens with 5x optical zoom. Previous rumors had set a March or April release for the device, similar to last year&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-11-ultra/">Mi 11 Ultra</a>, and new details about it keep emerging.</p>
<p>Prominent tipster Digital Chat Station through a post on Weibo has now given some new insight into the rear camera design of the &#8216;superphone&#8217;, and it seems to sit well with previous leaks.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-438755 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-12-ultra-vivo-x80-camera-design.png?x44794" alt="xiaomi 12 ultra vivo x80 camera design" width="961" height="333" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-12-ultra-vivo-x80-camera-design.png 961w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-12-ultra-vivo-x80-camera-design-300x104.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-12-ultra-vivo-x80-camera-design-768x266.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-12-ultra-vivo-x80-camera-design-696x241.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 961px) 100vw, 961px" /></p>
<p>Through an amusing sketch, the tipster revealed that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will adopt a huge camera module design that will span the entire width of the phone. The outer part will be rectangular while the inner part where all of the camera lenses will reside will be circular.</p>
<p>The same post compares the look of the phone to a &#8220;high-end new flagship&#8221; from vivo, most likely the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/17/vivo-x80-series-specs-leak/">vivo X80 series</a>. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra and vivo X80 flagship will feature very similar camera module designs but there is one subtle difference &#8212; the vivo phone&#8217;s circular camera island will be aligned to the left. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra&#8217;s, on the other hand, will be more symmetrical and aligned to the center.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to feature a quad-camera setup very similar to its predecessor, with one of the lenses featuring <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/15/xiaomi-12-ultra-to-feature-a-5x-periscope-telephoto-lens/">5x periscope telephoto</a> capabilities. <p>According to a <a href="https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/vivo-x80-series-india-launch-timeline-exclusive/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>91Mobiles</em> </a>report, sources close to the matter have revealed that the Chinese smartphone brand is planning an early 2022 launch for the X80 series in India. The new smartphone lineup is expected to launch sometime in late January or early February 2022. Additionally, the sources also claimed that the X80 will be available in two variants. Since the X70 series launched in an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x70-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">X70 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x70-pro-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">X70 Pro+</a> variant, we can also expect an X80 Pro and X80 Pro+ versions as well.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the sources did not reveal any finer details regarding these two smartphones. Although, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/14/purported-vivo-x80-to-have-a-120hz-screen-and-dimensity-2000-soc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">recent report</a> had shared some key details about the base model of the X80. The entry model will feature a 120Hz FHD+ display with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek-dimensity-2000/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MediaTek Dimensity 2000</a> chipset, which is based on a 4nm process. This version will also ship with Android 11 OS and feature a 50 megapixel primary camera with 5 axis stabilization, alongside a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom.</p>
