A mysterious Vivo phone was spotted earlier this week with an incredible full screen design flanked with super-slim bezels. It has appeared once again today to give a second look at its amazing design.

The smartphone seen in the new photo has a very slim appeal. Except for the slightly thick bottom bezel, the other bezels surrounding the screen are very thin. The bezels are so slim that it is hard to imagine whether the smartphone will be featuring a selfie camera. However, there is a possibility that it may arrive with a flip-up camera on its rear camera that will double up as a selfie snapper.

The exact size of the unidentified Vivo phone is not known. The Vivo X20 and X20 Plus respectively feature a 6-inch and 6.43-inch display. Hence, the mysterious Vivo could be housing a 6-inch or 6.43-inch display. From the image, it is quite evident that it will be delivering a screen-to-body ratio that is close to 100 percent. The large-sized display on the unidentified Vivo phone could be featuring an in-screen fingerprint reader.

Vivo is reportedly working on Vivo X30 and Vivo Xplay 7 flagship smartphone. Leaked images of the alleged Vivo X30 has shown that it will be arriving with a notch-enabled full screen design like the iPhone X. The Xplay 7 could be the Snapdragon 845 powered smartphone from the company. These leaks are concrete not evidences. Hence, it is difficult to guess whether the mysterious phone is Vivo X30, Xplay 7 or some other phone.

Vivo XPlay 7 isn’t a new entrant on the rumor mill as the device has popped up online as far as 6 months back. A few months back, the flagship popped up again in a new leak and now, we have been gifted with yet another leaked renders and specs of the device which popped up on Weibo. The design on display in this recent render is consistent with that of the one seen back in September last year. 

Apart from the render, the leaked photo which looks like the screenshot of a PPT doc also contains the expected specifications of the XPlay 7. One aspect which stood out very obviously is the 10GB of RAM the device is listed to pack. If true, it would make the XPlay 7 the first commercialized smartphone to pack such RAM size. The highest we have seen on a commercial smartphone till date is 8GB RAM. The 10GB RAM would be on two storage variant of 256GB and 512GB respectively. We are ye to also see a smartphone chip with a 512GB capacity. Presently, it is only Samsung that has started mass producing the 512GB flash memory. But then, this looks too good and too expensive to be true.

Another spectacular feature that we are been told to expect on the Vivo XPlay 7 is an in-display fingerprint sensor which just made its debut on the Vivo X20 Plus In-Display Fingerprint version. The device is also expected to pack the latest Snapdragon 845 processor which is the most powerful processor made by Qualcomm presently. The device also boasts of a number of high premium features like a 4K display panel and talking about the display, the device would pack a full-screen display design with ultra-thin bezels. The device is listed to have a 92.9% screen ratio.

Further, the device is quoted to pack a dual camera setup at the rear which would have 4X lossless zoom as well as Face Unlock 2.0. We can’t say when the XPlay 7 will be unveiled and these details can at best be treated as concept imagined by the leaker. There is nothing to show that Vivo would launch the successor to the XPlay 6 with such high-end, never seen before specs lineup. So, we advise you take this with a pinch of salt.

Qualcomm showcased its latest under display fingerprint technology at the Shanghai Asian Mobile World Congress in June. The technology was demonstrated using a Vivo prototype machine that looked like the Vivo XPlay 6 launched last year. Also, Qualcomm revealed that the technology would start shipping in the fourth quarter of the year and as it draws nearer, it has come to the open that Vivo may be the first OEM to utilise the technology. A new leaked photos have revealed the Vivo XPlay 7 showing it will come with the fingerprint technology.

The photos leaked on Weibo and a group seems to have been captured from a Powerpoint presentation. The Xplay 7 is said to go by the internal code name – Vivo X20. From the leaked photos, the Vivo XPlay 7 comes with a full-screen design with dual curved edges at the sides. The device has dual cameras at the front and also at the rear, potentially positioning it as one of the few devices with such arrangement.

On the specs angle, the Vivo XPlay 7 is expected to pack a Snapdragon 835 processor which would likely be backed by 6GB RAM just like the XPlay 6. We cannot rule out the possibility of an 8GB RAM variant, considering there has been precedence this year, ala Nubia Z17 and OnePlus 5. Other details are still sketchy as at this moment but from previous leaks, the under display fingerprint technology the XPlay 7 is coming with uses Qualcomm’s new ultrasonic technology which sends a pulse through the finger, some of which gets reflected while some get absorbed. These vibrations are then detected by a sensor which builds up a fingerprint. The sensor may likely work from any part of the display and isn’t restricted to a particular area.
