Gizmochina has spotted the Vivo Y03t with model number “V2409” in the IMEI database. This new model is expected to have more advanced features than its predecessor, Vivo Y03. Unfortunately, we don’t know the features of vivo Y03t. But we can explain why it will be better than its predecessor model. There is a 16MP front camera on the front. It has a huge 5000mAh battery. This battery offers fast charging support to 15W. Although full technical details have not yet been announced, the Y03t is likely to be a more advanced product than its predecessor.

Vivo’s upcoming budget smartphone, the Y03, has been the subject of continuous speculation, thanks to its multiple certification site appearances. Now, a comprehensive leak courtesy of Appuals has shed light on the Vivo Y03’s detailed specifications and design. Let’s explore what the Vivo Y03 promises to bring to the table.

Vivo Y03 Specs and Renders

The Vivo Y03 will reportedly sport a sizable 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel. While limited to HD+ resolution, this display will still offer a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. 

Design-wise, the phone boasts a flat, matte-finished back design complemented by two cameras in the upper left corner. An LED flash sits beside the camera setup. 

Leaked renders show the phone in Green and Black color variants, the latter accented with sophisticated gold rings around the camera lenses. Not to forget, the smartphone has a classic teardrop notch on the front for the selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y03 relies on the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. This octa-core chipset, while a few years old, still offers capable performance for everyday tasks.  

The phone will be available in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB storage configurations. You will also be able to expand the RAM up to 4GB virtually via Vivo’s Extended RAM feature.

In terms of the camera, the phone will have a 13MP primary sensor on the back paired with a secondary 0.08MP QVGA lens. For selfies, you will get a 5MP camera.  

The camera system is said to include an array of modes such as Super Night, Night Stylish Filters, Panorama, Multi-style Portrait, Slow Motion, Time-Lapse, and Professional mode.

Moreover, the smartphone is said to be powered by a 5000mAh battery that will support 15W of charging via a USB-C port. Vivo Y03 will also have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance and is said to boot on Android 14-based FunTouch OS 14 out of the box.

Vivo Y03 Price

The report says the Vivo Y03 will cost around USD 100 which converts to around Rs 8,280 in India. However, it does not reveal any details regarding the launch date or availability of the smartphone.

The upcoming Vivo Y03, marked by its model number V2332 recently cleared a bunch of certifications, hinting at an upcoming global launch. In addition to that, it has now received certification from Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The certification confirms that the device will feature LTE connectivity.

From various certifications, some details about the Vivo Y03 have been revealed. The phone is anticipated to come with a 5000mAh battery and 15W fast charging capability.

The device is also said to offer 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. At its heart, the Y03 is expected to feature the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM, which indicates that it should offer decent performance for most tasks. It is also mentioned to run on Android 14, providing users with the latest software features and security updates. Support for Bluetooth 5.3 is also included.

Compared to its predecessor, the Y02, which had a simpler design and less powerful specs, the Y03 is expected to bring several improvements. The NCC certification revealed the Vivo Y03 will carry the model number V2332 and is set to feature a 4880mAh battery, which is anticipated to deliver a typical capacity of 5000mAh. This battery supports 15W wired fast charging, aiming to reduce charging time significantly. The specific adaptor included with the smartphone is the V1530L0B0-US model.

Vivo is apparently working on the successor to the Vivo Y02 series. A new benchmark sighting has revealed that a Vivo Y03 might be in the works and even shed some light on some of its key specifications. So let’s have a look.

Vivo Y03 spotted on GeekBench

The Chinese tech giant’s upcoming budget device was seen carrying the model number V2332. Looking at the online listing, we can see that the smartphone is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC that is paired with 4GB of RAM and a Mali G52 GPU. The GeekBench sighting also confirms that the handset will run on the Android 14 OS out of the box.

The synthetic benchmarks on GeekBench 6 reveal a score of 392 points and 1304 points for the single core and multi core tests respectively. Unfortunately, this is all the information that was listed in the database, and finer details like its other specifications, design, and more are still at large. But earlier this month, the Vivo Y03 was also certified in Singapore’s IMDA and China’s CQC certification platforms.

The smartphone was also seen getting certified on the Bluetooth SIG, revealing support for Bluetooth 5. In other words, the GeekBench sighting now hints that the Vivo Y03’s launch might not be too far away. Vivo‘s upcoming entry in the budget-friendly smartphone category, the Vivo Y03, is gearing up for release. The device has recently secured Bluetooth SIG certification. And now, the smartphone has received certification from Singapore’s IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) and CQC (China Quality Certification Center). These developments strongly suggest that the Y03’s launch is approaching in multiple markets.

Vivo Y03 IMDA / CQC certification

The IMDA listing confirms the model number V2332 and reveals the phone will have standard Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities. 

The CQC certification, on the other hand, reveals support for 15W charging support. These certifications point to the Vivo Y03’s imminent launch in both the Chinese market and globally.

Although other specifications haven’t been officially announced, the Bluetooth SIG certification suggests that the phone will use Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. Apart from this, details about the device remain scarce.

The Vivo Y03 will succeed the Y02 launched back in 2022. It’s an entry-level phone with standard specs for everyday use. It comes with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. 

Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio P22 processor, and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU and is paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Its camera setup includes an 8MP lens on the rear and a 5MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. 

Keeping it powered up is a 5000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. But it has a micro USB port for charging. We hope Vivo will improve in this area with the upcoming Y03 smartphone.

In January, a couple of new Vivo phones, such as the Vivo V40 SE 5G, Vivo V30 SE, and Vivo Y200e 5G, were spotted in the database of the Bluetooth SIG certification. Now, another set of upcoming Vivo phones has emerged in the Bluetooth SIG’s database. The new certifications reveal the existence of a new iQOO phone as well as a few Vivo phones.

Upcoming Vivo / iQOO phones

The above screenshot reveals the existence of the iQOO Z9 5G and the Vivo T3 5G. Both have been spotted with model numbers I2302 and V2334, respectively. The specifications of these smartphones are not known yet.

The Chinese edition of the iQOO Z9 is expected to feature the Dimensity 8300. However, it is unclear whether the same device will be released in India. The Vivo T3 5G is expected to replace the Snapdragon 695-powered Vivo T2 5G, which debuted in India with a price tag of Rs 18,999 in April last year. The certification reveals that the iQOO Z9 and Vivo T3 will support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

The above screenshot shows the existence of three other devices. Devices bearing model numbers V2332, V2333, and V2350 will have marketing names, such as the Vivo Y03, Vivo Y18, and Vivo Y18e, respectively. The model number V2345 is also associated with the Vivo Y18. All these devices support Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Unfortunately, the rumor mill is yet to leak the specifications of these devices.

Devices that receive Bluetooth SIG certification are known to go official in around one month. Hence, there is a possibility that some of these devices may go official later this month or in March.
