<h2><b>Honor’s first foldable smartphone is here &#8211; HONOR Magic V</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">After multiple leaks and teasers, Honor officially </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/10/honor-magic-v-launched-as-the-worlds-slimmest-foldable-smartphone/"><span style="font-weight: 400">took the wraps off </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">the HONOR Magic V and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/10/honor-watch-gs-3-launched-amoled-screen-stainless-steel-body-gps-more/"><span style="font-weight: 400">HONOR Watch GS 3</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> on January 10 in China. Though it is the brand’s first attempt at a foldable smartphone, the product doesn’t look like one, as it appears to have been under development while the company was still a sub-brand of Huawei.</span></p>
<figure id="attachment_436446" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-436446" style="width: 696px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-436446 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-1024x576.png?x23692" alt="" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-436446" class="wp-caption-text"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/honor-magic-v/">HONOR Magic V</a></figcaption></figure>

It has a thickness of 14.3mm and 6.7mm when folded and unfolded respectively. The inner display is folded in a tear-drop manner like the OPPO Find N to minimize crease.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Talking about specs, it has a 7.9-inch 90Hz foldable screen, 6.45-inch 120Hz external screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, Magic UI 6 based on Android 12, 50MP (wide) + 50MP (spectrally enhanced) + 50MP (ultra-wide) triple main cameras, dual 42MP front-facing cameras, dual stereo speakers, 4,750mAh battery, and 66W fast charging.</span></p>
