Design

As mentioned above, the new Mi CC series is mainly focused on the design and camera experience. Indeed, the Xiaomi Mi CC9e wins the design comparison thanks to its better look and even better materials. Just like premium phones, this handset has a stunning glass back as well as an aluminum frame. It even has strong protection for the display (Gorilla Glass 5). Both Realme 3i and Vivo Y15 come with a plastic design, so there is no chance they can compete with the Mi CC9e, despite it may look different from the renders showing these phones.

Display

In each case, you get a display with just a sufficient resolution: HD+ with 720p. But Xiaomi Mi CC9e is superior because it sports a Super AMOLED panel, so it can provide more brilliant colors and it even has an in-display fingerprint reader. However, it has the smallest display and you might not like it if you want the best phone for multimedia and productivity. In that case, Vivo Y15 might give you more satisfaction with its wide 6.35-inch panel. But do not expect much from an HD display in terms of definition.

Specs & Software

Despite it has a similar price tag to its rivals, the Xiaomi Mi CC9e is a lot better than Vivo Y15 and Realme 3i when it comes to hardware. It has a Snapdragon 665 chipset which can be considered an upper-midrange SoC, while both Vivo Y15 and Realme 3i are equipped with midrange chipset (lower-midrange when it comes to Vivo Y15). Further, at least in the most expensive configuration, Xiaomi Mi CC9e offers more RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. It lacks a micro SD dedicated slot, while on Vivo Y15 and Realme 3i you can use both micro SD and dual SIM slot at the same time. Android 9 Pie is pre-installed in each case.

Camera

Xiaomi Mi CC9e is again the winner of the comparison if we talk about camera departments. Both its rear and front cameras are superior. The Xiaomi Mi CC9e boasts a better 48 MP main sensor for the rear department, an ultrawide lens, and a depth sensor, as well as an awesome 32 MP selfie camera with advanced AI algorithms. Realme 3i and Vivo Y15 have sufficient 13 MP sensors and the former even lacks the ultrawide lens. Between these two handsets, I prefer the Vivo Y15 due to its ultrawide sensor and a better front camera.

Battery

Vivo Y15 is the clear winner of the battery life comparison because it is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery. However, it lacks a fast charging technology so it will take a lot to fully charge it. Realme 3i and Xiaomi Mi CC9e will most likely have a similar battery life: even though the former has a bigger battery, the Mi CC9e has a smaller and more efficient display, so differences should be marginal.

Price

Realme 3i starts from just €117/$130, Vivo Y15 costs €180/$200 in its base version and Xiaomi Mi CC9e carries a €170/$190 price tag. Coming to the conclusions, Xiaomi Mi CC9e is undoubtedly a better deal due to its AMOLED display with UD fingerprint scanner, better hardware, amazing build quality, and higher-end cameras.

HMD Global is aiming a lot at the entry-level segment of the smartphones market in the last months. The Finnish giant which currently owns the Nokia brand recently launched several budget devices and the most powerful entry-level one is the Nokia 4.2. It mainly focuses on software as it is one of the most affordable devices enabled to the Android One program. In the same price range, there is also the new Vivo Y15 which is mainly focused on battery life, and Realme 3 by Oppo’s sub-brand which has performance and value for money as its strongest point. Nokia 4.2 vs Vivo Y15 vs Oppo Realme 3

Design

A compact and lightweight device. This is one of the main advantages of the Nokia 4.2 if we compare it with its rivals in this comparison, as well as most of the budget devices out there. It fits great in a pocket and it is easier to use with one hand than most of the actual phones. Still, some may prefer the Vivo Y15 due to its reflective back and its larger screen.

Display

In each case, you get entry-level panels with similar specifications and the IPS technology. But they are not disappointing displays. Nokia 4.2 has a very small panel, that is great if you need a compact phone and you like one-handed use. The smaller diagonal even allows a higher level of detail due to the higher pixel density. However, I would go for the Vivo Y15 simply because it has a bigger 6.35 panel. My recommendation is not to choose one of these handsets just by looking at the display quality, as there are only marginal differences.

Specs & Software

Three different chipsets for three different levels of performances. Realme 3 wins, there is no doubt. It is faster and smoother thanks to its MediaTek Helio P60, and it even comes in a variant with the even more powerful Helio P70. There is not so much difference between the Helio P22 found on the Vivo Y15 and the Snapdragon 439 found on the Nokia 4.2. But I personally prefer the Nokia 4.2 because it is part of the Android One program, so it provides a smoother and bloatware-free experience as well as faster and more constant updates. Note that Nokia 4.2 is only available with up to 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, while Vivo Y15 has up to 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, so it actually provides better performances in multi-tasking and more space.

Camera

Vivo Y15 has the most complete and versatile camera department, despite it does not necessarily click more detailed photos. But overall, I would go for the Vivo Y15 due to the presence of an ultrawide sensor and an awesome 16 MP front camera for selfies. Realme 3 Pro comes right after as it comes with a better main sensor for the rear camera, but the rest of the setup does not convince me. Nokia 4.2 is the less impressive one.

Battery

Vivo Y15 is equipped with a mammoth 5000 mAh battery which delivers up to three days of battery life even with pretty intensive use. That is simply amazing and one of the best battery phones out there. The second place goes to the Realme 3 with its still awesome 4230 mAh battery.

Price

Nokia 4.2 debuted with a €150/€135 price tag, Vivo Y15 costs €180/$160 and Realme 3 starts from €115/$100. Overall, Realme 3 is my favorite one due to its better performance, big battery, and decent cameras.

The Vivo Y15 is expected to launch in India soon. There is no release date yet but you don’t have to wait till the launch before you know all there is about the device. The Y15 was listed briefly on the official website and we now know all there is to know about the new Vivo phone.

The listing was spotted by DealnTech but it has now been taken down. The Vivo Y15 will have a waterdrop notch with super-slim side bezels and a significantly thicker one at the bottom. There is a slit in the frame for the speaker, a SIM tray on the left side of the frame, and the power and volume buttons on the right side of the frame.

The rear of the phone is home to three cameras that share a gold-accented housing. There is an LED flash below the cameras and a fingerprint scanner in the middle of the device. Vivo has put a 3.5mm audio jack and a MicroUSB port at the bottom of the device while the top has been left bare.

The Vivo Y15 will come in Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red according to the listing.

The Halo FullView display is 6.35-inches in size with a 720 x 1544 resolution. It is powered by the Helio P22 chipset and it is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The rear cameras consist of a 13MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP 120° super-wide angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 16MP sensor.

The Vivo Y15 has a bunch of camera modes and features not limited to portrait mode, AI beauty mode, pro mode, palm capture, time watermark, and model watermark.

It runs FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie and has single-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, OTG, and an FM radio. One of the major selling points of the phone is its 5000mAh battery which is combined with “intelligent power-saving technologies to further extend battery life”.

The Vivo V15 will sell for INR 15,990 (~$229) according to the listing.

Vivo Y12 Price in India

Citing information received from retail chain, the publication claims that the Vivo Y12 will be arriving in India in two models such as 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. These variants are expected to release with respective price tags of Rs. 11,990 and Rs. 12,990. The exact launch date of the phone is not known yet. However, it is believed that it will be available through offline stores in the next few days.

Vivo Y12 Specifications

The Vivo Y12 will be arriving with a 6.35-inch Halo FullView display that features a small notch. it will carry support for HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. The phone is expected to offer a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent. The MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with its 2.0 GHz octa-core processor is likely to fuel the smartphone.

The handset will boot to the FunTouch OS 9 UI based Android 9 Pie OS. It will be arriving as the cheapest triple camera smartphone from a mainstream brand. It is expected to include an 8-megapixel f/2.2 aperture sensor, a 13-megapixel f/2.2 aperture lens and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 aperture sensor. Rumors surrounding it have revealed that it will be also featuring the same display, processor, triple cameras and battery like the Vivo Y15. However, it may arrive with a base model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. Also, it may come with a better selfie camera of 16-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture.

The Vivo Y series will be expanding with the addition of two new members. Specifications and pricing for the two phones which are reported to be called the Vivo Y12 and Vivo Y15 have leaked.

Vivo Y12

The Vivo Y12 will have a 6.35-inch HD+ display. It will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6762 octa-core processor which is also known as the Helio P22. The phone will be available in two configurations – 3GB RAM + 64GB and 4GB RAM + 32GB. There should be a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Vivo Y12 will have a triple camera setup which is made up of a 13MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. It will have an 8MP front-facing camera too.

The phone will pack a massive 5000mAh battery but sadly, will have no fast charging technology.

Vivo Y15

The Vivo Y15 will have the same display and resolution as the Y12. It will also come with the same Helio P22 processor but have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.

Vivo is also using the same triple camera configuration of the Y12 for it. The phone will have a 16MP selfie-camera to distinguish it from the Y12. However, it will pack the same 5000mAh battery as the already launched Vivo Y17 but without its Dual-Engine fast charging technology.

Both the Vivo Y12 and Vivo Y15 are expected to come with FunTouch OS 9 based on Android Pie out of the box. An image of both phones shows they will have rear-mounted fingerprint scanners. They should also have support for Face Unlock.
