Vivo Y15s gets a price cut two months after its release

A few months back, Vivo announced the Vivo Y15s budget smartphone in the Indian market with modest specs like dual cameras and MediaTek’s Helio chipset. At the launch, the smartphone was priced at Rs. 10,990. Now, however, the phone has received a price cut in the country.

The Vivo Y15s has received a Rs. 500 price cut in just two months of its release. The device now costs Rs. 10,490 in India. This pricing is for the lone variant of 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. The phone can be purchased in Mystic Blue and Wave Green color options.

The Vivo Y15s comes with a 6.51-inch water-drop notch display having an HD+(720 1600 pixels) resolution. It is an IPS LCD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and thin bezels on all three sides except for the bottom.

It has an 8MP front camera for selfies and features a dual-camera system at the back. It has a 13MP main and a 2MP macro camera setup.

Powering the handset is the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot for additional storage requirements. It comes with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom.

The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging speed. The phone boots on Android 11 Go Edition and has FunTouch OS 11.1 on top of it.

Vivo Y15s to launch this week in India under Rs. 12,000(~$160)

Back in 2021, Vivo unveiled the Y15s in Singapore, later it landed in Pakistan last month. Now, the Vivo Y15s is heading to India and MySmartPrice has revealed the launch timeline and pricing of the smartphone.

Vivo Y15s will launch this month in the Indian market. The publication reveals that the smartphone will arrive as early as this week. Its exact launch date is still a question, the company might do a silent release of the device.

Coming to the pricing, the Vivo Y15s will be priced between Rs. 10,000(~$133) to Rs. 12,000(~$160) in the country. To recall, the phone was priced at PKR 23,999(~$136) in Pakistan and SGD 179(~$133) in Singapore.

It was launched in Mystic Blue and Wave Green colors globally. We can expect the same colors to arrive in India.

Vivo Y15s Specifications

The Vivo Y15s is expected to have the same specs as the models launched globally. It will come with a 6.51-inch HD+ water-drop notch display. It will be an IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The smartphone’s camera will have multiple modes including the Bokeh mode, Live Photo, Face Beauty, Pro mode, Time-Lapse, and a Panorama mode. Upfront, it will have an 8MP selfie camera and a 13MP + 2MP camera system at the rear.

The global model has MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with 3GB RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery and supports 10W charging speed. It features a side-facing fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port for charging. The smartphone runs on Android 11 OS and has FunTouchOS on the top.

Vivo unveiled the Vivo Y15s last year in November with budget specs like Helio P35 SoC, dual cameras, and Android 11 GO. Now, the device has silently arrived in Pakistan and we spotted it listed on the official Vivo website.

The Vivo Y15s is priced at PKR 23,999(~$136) for the sole 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant in Pakistan. It comes in two color variants – Wave Green and Mystic Blue colors. It will be available for purchase from authorized Vivo stores in the country.

The Vivo Y15s comes with a plastic build featuring a 6.51-inch HD+ dew-drop notch display. It is an IPS LCD panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio and thin-bezel design. The smartphone has an 8MP selfie camera at the front and a dual-camera system at the rear. It comprises a 13MP main lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It has a microSD card slot for additional storage needs. The dual-SIM phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. Unfortunately, it has the traditional micro-USB port for charging. The 4G device also has a 3.5mm headphone jack for music.

It runs on Funtouch OS 11.1 and has Android 11 GO edition on top of it. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and has an 8.28mm thickness. It weighs 179 grams.

Vivo Y15s goes official in Singapore packing an Helio P35 chip, Android 11 Go edition

Vivo has quietly unveiled a new budget smartphone under the affordable Y-series. The device is christened Vivo Y15s and features a decent specs lineup as well as an affordable price tag.

In terms of the design, the Vivo Y15s packs a 6.51-inch LCD screen with an HD+ resolution of 780 pixels. The display has a waterdrop notch which is home to an 8-megapixel selfie camera. At the rear, the device has a camera module located at the top left corner of the back panel. The panel houses a dual-camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field sensor.

The Y15s is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset and runs on Android 11 (Go edition). The phone also has a 5,000mAh battery under the hood with 10W charging via a micro-USB port. The device comes with three slots consisting of two SIM slots and a third memory expansion slot that can take up to a 1TB memory card. This saves you the hassle of switching cards.

The Vivo Y15s carries a decent retail price of SGD 179 ($133) in Singapore and will be available in Wave Green and Mystic Blue color options. The device is already available to buy in Singapore via Vivo’s official website and other authorized retailers.
