While the landing page of the phone has been available on Vivo India’s website for the past few days, the brand hasn’t revealed anything significant about it. Fret not, a new leak that has emerged, courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, has revealed almost everything from its specifications to images.

Vivo Y400 5G specifications (rumored)

As per the leak, the Vivo Y400 5G will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1800 nits of brightness. For security, it features an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.

On the front, the Vivo Y400 5G will feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel will be equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens.

The Y400 5G will feature the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and a massive 6000mAh battery with 90W charging support. The device will arrive with 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage. Previous reports have claimed that it will have an IP68/69-rated body.

Vivo Y400 5G price in India (rumored)

The Vivo Y400 5G will be available in two configurations, such as 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. These variants will have market operating prices of Rs 21,999 and Rs 23,999, respectively. Vivo is set to expand its Y-series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo Y400 5G, following the earlier debut of the Y400 Pro 5G. Scheduled to launch on August 4, the upcoming model has already generated buzz thanks to its slim profile and stylish color options.

The company has revealed that the phone will arrive in two finishes—Glam White and Olive Green. With its flat display and clean dual-camera layout, the Y400 5G seems to share design cues with the Y400 Pro, which was praised for its slim 7.49mm build.

While official specs are still under wraps, the Y400 5G is expected to be a budget-friendly 5G device priced around ₹20,000, similar to its predecessor. For context, the Y300 5G features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, 5,000mAh battery, and a 50MP + 2MP rear camera setup, all protected by an IP64 splash-resistant design.

Vivo has listed the Y400 on its Indonesian website, confirming that the official launch is near. This 4G phone features a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX852 main sensor (1/2.96-inch) and a 2MP depth sensor. It also features Vivo’s Dynamic Light, which works as a notification LED. The phone is under 8mm thick and weighs either 196 or 198 grams, depending on the color. It packs a 6,000mAh battery, and Vivo says it can keep at least 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles.

The Y400 comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. Vivo says the phone has survived underwater for 30 minutes at a depth of 6 meters, which is beyond the usual test limits.

It will be available in two colors: Purple Dusk and Tropical Green. Pricing, release date, and details about availability outside Indonesia are not yet confirmed.

Other rumored specs include a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, a 50MP main camera, and a 5,500mAh battery. The smartphone might come in two color options: Olive Green and Glam White.

5. Redmi 15C

Launch date: Mid-August (unofficial)

Redmi 15C is another budget smartphone gearing up for an August launch. While there’s no official launch date just yet, reports suggest a mid-August timeline. The device is said to be priced under INR 15,000.

According to previous leaks, the Redmi 15C will feature a 6.9-inch 120Hz LCD screen, a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, a 50MP main camera, a 16MP selfie camera, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The same publication has previously claimed that the device will be available in two shades: Olive Green and Glam White.

Vivo Y400 5G specifications (rumoured)

According to a report by Xpertpick, the Vivo Y400 5G bearing the V2506 model number has emerged in the databases of the Bluetooth SIG, India’s BIS certification, and Google Play Console. The latter reveals that it has a curved-edge display that supports FHD+ resolution, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, 8GB of RAM, and Android 15.

At present, there is no information available about the Y400 5G’s camera specifications. In related news, Vivo is also working on the Vivo V60. Speculated to launch on Aug. 12 in India, the device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and a 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging. This device is said to be a rebranded version of the Vivo S30, which debuted in China back in May.
