Vivo recently launched the Y51 smartphone in India back in December. Now, a report by MySmartPrice says that it will get a watered-down sibling soon.

According to the report, Vivo Y51A(2021) will be a slightly toned-down variant of the Y51. Citing retail sources, it says that the device will be the new Y-smartphone from Vivo in India. That’s not the only device with a Year tag on it. Recently, Vivo also brought a Vivo V20(2021) with slightly tweaked specs from Vivo V20.

Anyway, the report says that Vivo Y51A(2021) will sport a Snapdragon 662 SoC onboard. In contrast, if you look at the Vivo Y51, it has a Snapdragon 665 with a 10% slightly higher frequency. This already hints that the device will have less-appealing specs compared to the Y51. However, we can’t rule out the highlighting point that could be a plus for it, the price.

The Vivo Y51 with features like a FHD+ display, 8GB RAM, bigger camera than Y50, retails for 17,990($245). Hence, the Y51A should be definitely a bit cheaper than its sibling. That said, the report doesn’t have any further information regarding the specs, and design but we feel that it might have some similarities to the Y51.

Speaking of which, the Vivo Y51 sports a design similar to the X50, X60 series on the back. It comes in two colors- Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony. Upfront, it features a 6.58-inch display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels.

For cameras, you get a 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP sensor. On the front, there is a single 16MP selfie shooter tucked below the v-shaped notch. A 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel with a dewdrop notch can be found on the Vivo Y51. The tall aspect ratio screen supports a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Snapdragon 662 is present under the hood of the Vivo Y51. The SoC is coupled with 8 GB of RAM. The phone offers users native storage of 128 GB and it carries support for an external storage slot.

A 16-megapixel selfie camera is available with the Aura Screen filter feature for shooting better selfies in low-light conditions. The rear camera setup borrows its design from Vivo X50 and V20 series. Chinese smartphone maker vivo has launched vivo Y51 as its latest budget smartphone in Indonesia. The new phone, albeit affordable, sports a rear design that is reminiscent of the expensive vivo X50 series. Let us take a closer look at the specs, features, and price of this new handset.

The newly launched vivo Y51 flaunts a 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel on the front with a resolution of 2408 × 1080 pixels (FHD+). The display supports the standard 60Hz refresh rate and features a dew-drop notch on the top nesting a 16MP selfie camera.

Whereas, the back of the phone houses a vertically aligned ‘vivo’ branding and a triple camera system consisting of a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 wide-angle lens, an 8MP secondary sensor paired with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens. Earlier today, a report exclusively tipped the price of the upcoming Vivo Y51 for India. The device is coming to both India and Indonesia as per early certifications. Now, it has officially been listed online in Indonesia along with renders, and specifications. The listing also shows that it is different from the Vivo Y51 that launched in Pakistan.

As spotted by MySmartPrice, the Vivo Y51 is now officially listed on the Indonesian website. The website’s ‘buy now’ redirects to Shopee’s website which is a popular retailer in the country. Accordingly, the poster inside the website shows a ‘coming soon’ tag and December 3, 2020 date. This suggests that the device might go live tomorrow in Indonesia.

That said, the website doesn’t hint anything about the pricing apart from a few discount vouchers, special gifts that will probably tag along the Vivo Y51 purchase. However, as mentioned above, a report says that the Y51 for India will debut under ₹20,000($272) in India. While we don’t exactly know about the Indian launch, it is likely to replace the Vivo S1 Pro that’s already retailing in the country.

A couple of months ago, in September this year, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo had launched its Vivo Y51 smartphone. Earlier this month, the device passed through the necessary certification process.

Now, a new report claims that the Vivo Y51 will officially get launched in the Indian market later this month. It is being said that the phone will replace the Vivo S1 Pro which was launched in January this year.

While the phone’s exact launch date for the Indian market is not yet known, the report claims that the device will be priced under ₹20,000 which is about $272. The phone has already got BIS Certificate in India and so the official launch should be just days away.

The Vivo Y51 features a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. It packs 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also comes with support for a microSD card that allows users to expand the storage capacity up to 256GB.

Vivo has a new smartphone called the Y51. Technically, this is the Vivo Y51 (2020) as the manufacturer announced a Y51 back in 2015. The new phone, which has been announced in Pakistan, is miles ahead of the original; boasting an AMOLED display, quad rear cameras, and almost double the battery capacity.

The Vivo Y51 (2020) has a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch at the top and an FHD+ resolution. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint scanner and an Always-on Display mode too.

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 665 processor and it comes along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Vivo has added a MicroSD card slot that allows users to add up to 256GB of storage. The phone has a 4500mAh battery capacity with support for 18W fast charging.

The camera setup is made up of a 16MP f/2.0 sensor in front and a 48MP f/1.8 + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro + 2MP portrait configuration on the back. The camera app includes a bunch of features such as palm capture, voice control, slow-motion recording, super macro, super night mode, and AI face beauty.

The Vivo Y51 supports dual-band Wi-Fi and has Bluetooth 5.0, a USB-C port, and an audio jack. It runs Funtouch OS 10 based on Android 10 and is available in Mystic Black, Jazzy Blue, and Dreamy White.
