The Vivo Y72 5G smartphone has been launched in India. It is Vivo’s first 5G-enabled Y-branded smartphone for the Indian market. The major highlights of the device include a 90Hz display, Snapdragon 480 chipset, and 48-megapixel dual cameras. The Y72 5G has landed in India as the rebadged version of the Vivo Y52s (t1 version) that debut in May in China.

The Vivo Y72 5G houses a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a teardrop notch that delivers a screen space of 90.6 percent. Smartphone maker vivo is said to launch a new handset called vivo Y72 5G in India on July 15. The price and launch offers of this phone leaked a few days back. Now, the latest leak of this device reveals everything about it.

The new information about the vivo Y72 5G for India comes from Yogesh, in association with 91Mobiles. The tipster has exposed the entire spec sheet of the phone. As per him, this handset is a rebranded vivo Y52s (t1 version).

According to the leaker, the vivo Y72 5G, which is set to launch in India, will sport a 6.58-inch FHD+ Halo FullView display with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. He does not mention the type of the screen. But going by the original model, the device should have an LCD panel with a dewdrop notch.

Further, the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It will also come with an optional 4GB virtual RAM. As for software, it will run Funtouch OS 11.x based on Android 11.

As far as optics are concerned, the handset will feature a 48MP + 2MP dual-camera setup on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. It will have features like Pose Master, Face Beauty, and Super Night Mode.

The Vivo Y72 5G was set to launch in India soon. Now, a new leak has revealed the exact launch date of the smartphone along with its memory configuration, special bank offers, and more details.

According to a 91Mobiles report, the leak of the launch date for the Vivo Y72 5G arrives from an official from the Chinese tech giant. Furthermore, Tipster Yogesh also shared an image poster for the upcoming smartphone. Previously, the company launched the device in Thailand with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, a 64 megapixel triple camera module, and a 5,000mAh battery pack. Now, the image poster has revealed additional information regarding the device.

Looking the poster, the Vivo Y72 5G will be launched in India in a single memory configuration, namely 8GB of RAM that supports virtual expansion of an additional 4GB of RAM. The image also confirms that the device will sport a FHD+ display that supports 90Hz refresh rate. The company will apparently launched the new device on 15th July 2021 and will be available in two color variants, including Dream Glow and Graphite Black.

Vivo would also launch the device with special bank offers as well. Customers can avail a flat 1,500 INR (roughly 20 US Dollars) cashback through HDFC bank, ICICI Bank, and Kotak. The company is also offering a free one time replacement and Jio benefits worth 10,000 INR (roughly 135 US Dollars) on the purchase of the new smartphone. Vivo unveiled the Vivo Y72 5G a couple of weeks ago in Thailand. Now, it has got certified in Singapore suggesting that it could launch soon in the country.

A Vivo smartphone with model number V2041 appears(via Mukul Sharma) on Singapore’s IMDA database. The listing shows that the device is a 5G mobile phone. We have already seen that the Vivo Y72 5G has the same model number and it was spotted on Google Play Console settings before the launch.

Now, it has appeared on the Singapore certification indicating that it may go official soon. The device is already out in Thailand and if Vivo doesn’t make any big changes to the version launching in Singapore, it could be the first 5G device in Singapore under the Y-series with Dimensity chipset.

Anyway, the Vivo Y72 5G will feature a 6.58-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display. This display will have a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 96 percent NTSC color gamut, and a 90.6 precent screen-to-body ratio.

Vivo is launching the Y72 5G smartphone in Thailand on March 22. Ahead of the event, a Thailand blog MX Phone has unboxed the devices and released a preview revealing the box contents and live images of the device.

MX Phone seems to have got hold of a review unit of the Vivo Y72 5G and has released a preview of the device before launch. As per the info from the report, below are the box contents of the device:

As seen from the official renders, the device has Triple cameras with an LED flash on the back. Upfront, it has a display with a waterdrop notch and we have a power button-cum-fingerprint sensor and volume buttons to the right, SIM card tray up top, and USB-C, 3.5mm audio jack, Primary mic, and speakers to the bottom.

Regarding the specs, we already know that the device has a 64MP main sensor on the back. This report further says that the other two sensors are 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro sensor. Upfront, there is a 16MP f/2.0 selfie shooter.

Vivo Thailand has confirmed that it will be launching a new smartphone called the Vivo Y72 5G on March 22. The official launch poster has revealed the design of the smartphone. At the same time, it has appeared at the Google Play Console (first spotted by Pricebaba) with some of its key specs.

According to Vivo, the Vivo Y72 5G will be the company’s first 5G-enabled Y-series in global markets. The handset features a teardrop notch on the front. The Google Play Console listing revealed that it supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 440ppi pixel density.

The rear side of the Vivo Y72 5G has a vertical camera module that houses a triple camera unit led by a 64-megapixel primary camera. It is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Play Console listing revealed that it is powered by the MediaTek MT6833V chip, which is the Dimensity 700 chip. The SoC is coupled with 8 GB of RAM. It is preinstalled with Android 11 OS. The official poster confirms that the device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.

Rumors have it that the Vivo Y72 5G houses a 6.58-inch LCD screen and it may come with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
