In China, Vivo had launched the Vivo Y93 smartphone and few weeks late it had introduced the Vivo Y93s model. The Vivo Y93 is now listed on the official website of Vivo India. The specifications page of the smartphone reveals that the Vivo Y93s handset has been introduced in India as Vivo Y93.

Vivo Y93 Specifications and Features

The Vivo Y93 measures 155.11 x 75.09 x 8.28mm and it weighs 163.5 grams. The handset features 6.22-inch IPS In-Cell display that supports HD+ resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels.

The MediaTek Helio P22 chipset drives the Vivo Y93 handset along with 4 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 32 GB. The handset is packed with a 4,030mAh battery. The big battery lacks support for fast charging. The FunTouch OS 4.5 that is based on Android 8.1 Oreo is available preinstalled on the Vivo Y93. The Vivo Y93 also features Jovi Smart Scene assistant. The Smart Split screen allow users to take advantage of the split-screen mode. The smartphone is equipped with a microSD card slot for additional storage.

The Vivo Y93 features 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture in its rear-mounted dual camera setup. The small notch at the frontside of the phone has f/1.8 aperture 8-megapixel selfie shooter. For connectivity, the Vivo Y93 offers features like 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, microUSB, USB OTG and 3.5mm audio jack.

Vivo Y93 Price and Release Date

The pricing of the Vivo Y93 smartphone is still under the wraps. Now that the handset has been officially listed on Vivo India, its pricing will be confirmed soon. The handset can be purchased in colors like Starry Black and Nebula Purple.

In China, the Vivo Y93 was introduced with a price tag of 1,499 Yuan (~$217). The Y93s had debuted with a slightly higher price of 1,698 Yuan (~$245). The Vivo Y95 is selling in India with a price tag of Rs. 16,990. The Vivo Y93 is likely to be priced lesser than the Y95.

Vivo Y93s is yet another entry-level smartphone from the company that has gone official in China. In fact, it is a different chipset variant of the Vivo Y93 smartphone that was announced in China in the previous month. It also comes with higher internal storage. The rest of the specifications of the new Vivo smartphone are same as Y93.

The Snapdragon 439 chipset is present under the hood of the Vivo Y93 phone along with 4 GB of RAM. It has an inbuilt storage of 64 GB. The newly announced Vivo Y93s phone has MediaTek MT6762 (Helio P22). The SoC is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It carries a larger internal storage of 128 GB. Users can add up to 256 GB of microSD card on the Vivo Y93s.

The Vivo Y93s promises long-lasting performance through its 4,030mAh battery. However, there is no support for fast charging on the device. The Android 8.1 Oreo OS customized with FunTouch OS 4.5 UI is preloaded on the smartphone. Vivo has also included its gaming mode feature on the device.

The rear side of the Vivo Y93s features a vertical camera module. It includes a primary sensor of 13-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture and a secondary sensor of 2-megapixel with f/2.4 aperture. For capturing selfies, the handset is equipped with a frontal shooter of 8-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture. The Vivo Y93s lacks a fingerprint reader. The front camera enabled with face recognition feature can be used for unlocking the device.

Vivo Y93s Pricing and Release Date

The Vivo Y93s has landed with a price tag of 1,698 Yuan (~$245) in China. The Vivo Y93 is a cheaper device that is now selling with a price tag of 1,499 (~$217).

Currently, Vivo is selling only the Aurora Red and Zixia Red gradient color variants through its online store. In the near future, it will be also selling its Starry Night Black and Aurora Blue gradient color models. There is no word on the international availability of the Vivo Y93s.
