The tri-bezel-less Vkworld S8 is now available for pre-order. The full-screen phone not only boasts an 18:9 display, but also has a titanium frame and a massive 5,500mAh battery.

The Vkworld S8 is supposed to sell for $229.99 but for the duration of the pre-order, it will sell for $169.99. The pre-order promo runs from today (31st of October) till 9th of November.

For $169.99, you get a phone with a 5.99” FHD+ screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the front and on the rear. MediaTek’s MT6750T is the chipset of choice and there is 4GB of RAM on board. You get 64GB of built-in storage with the option to add up to an additional 128GB.

The Vkworld not only has a bezel-less display, it also has dual rear cameras. One is a 16MP sensor and it is paired with a 5MP sensor. For the front camera, you have a 13MP sensor that sits at the bottom right corner of the chin. The manufacturer says most of its components are from Samsung and Sony, so these sensors should be from either one of the two manufacturers.

The S8 doesn’t end there. There is support for 18W fast charging via MediaTek’s PumpExpress, allowing you charge the 5500mAh battery in just 110 minutes.

Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, AAC speaker, dual SIM slot (nano + nano/MicroSD card slot), USB-C (charging and audio) and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

The retail price of VKWorld S8 is $229.99, but the phone is being made available with a price tag of just $169.99 during the pre-orders. At such a low price, the VKWorld S8 features a 5.99-inch IPS display from LG that carries support for FHD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek MT6750T chipset and 4 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 64 GB. The rear-mounted dual cameras include 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors. It has a selfie camera of 13-megapixel. Other features of the phone include Android Nougat OS and AAC speaker.

The phone is the latest flagship model from Vkworld and it crams a large 5500mAh battery under its hood. In case you still don’t know, the phone comes with a glass covered body at the front and rear aspects just like most flagships we have seen this year. But instead of metal, the Vkworld S8 features a frame made of titanium alloy. It is the second titanium phone from Vkworld after T2 Plus. Flagship models having a titanium frame are not too common but one good example is the Essential phone.

However, the Vkworld S8 comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio which makes it the first 18:9 phone with a titanium frame. When compared with aluminium, titanium has the advantages of being more durable, more resistance, harder and more resilient. Also, titanium is much more expensive and difficult to process. VKWorld is prepping up to launch new smartphones during the upcoming holiday season. The three rumored smartphones from the company are VKWorld Mix, T2 Plus and S8. Several details of the VKWorld S8 have already surfaced.

The VKWorld S8 is expected to feature a full screen design that will be supporting an aspect ratio of 18:9. However, the exact size and resolution of its display are not known.

The company claims that the screen of the VKWorld S8 is different from the other clones of Samsung Galaxy S8 as it features very thin bezels. Its top bezel is of 3.2mm only which houses an earpiece, light sensor and proximity sensor. The left and right bezels are even slimmer as they measure only 1mm. It seems that VKWorld S8 would be probably sporting the thinnest bezel in smartphones.

None of the full screen smartphones that have released so far feature large-sized batteries. The VKWorld S8 could be the first full screen phone to arrive with a mammoth battery of 5,000mAh capacity. It is Li-Po battery built by Sony. Li-Po batteries are said to be safer and durable than Li-ion batteries.

With minimal use, the battery is expected to last for 3 days and with normal use, users will be able to use the handset for 2 days. The huge battery of the VKWorld S8 will be complemented by MediaTek’s PumpExpress fast charging feature. The handset will be carrying support for 12V/2A fast charging.

As of this writing, there is no information available on the chipset that will be powering the smartphone. However, SoC of the S8 would be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

The handset will be also sporting a premium design as it will be coming with 3D glass back. As it can be seen in the above, the VKWorld S8 would be arriving in four color choices such as red, silver/white, light blue and black. The rear side of the smartphone features dual cameras. However, the exact details of both the lenses are not available. The fingerprint scanner is placed on its rear side. The smartphone also features a USB-C port.

The Chinese firm will be holding VKWorld Carnival in October. It is expected to unleash the VKWorld S8 during the upcoming event. There is no information available on the pricing of the phone.
