Tencent has announced a new mobile game that it has been working on for the past 4 years. The game is set in a fantasy setting and is called Wandering Mountains and Seas (translated).

At the moment, it is currently unknown when exactly the new mobile game will be launched. Although, the known game publisher has revealed certain details regarding the upcoming title. In the Wandering Mountains and Seas, players will have the ability to explore the vast and diverse map. In other words, it is an open world game for smartphones.

From what we know so far, the game will let players explore the deep seafloor and high mountain tops, as its name suggests, and will even have a base building mechanics as well, which will also allow gamers to fly out to the moon and make a settlement there. The game apparently has no defined class system, rather, its skills and combat system is based around the different weapons one may use.

You will have the option of choosing between melee or long range attacks through these various weapons, with each being unique and having different effects. This allows for a dynamic gameplay mechanic where players can switch roles in the team at any given moment. Interestingly, a trading system and in game economy also seems to be in the works, with players being able to set up their own stalls for extra cash.
