A new certification sighting has hinted that the Red Magic 9 and Red Magic 9 Pro launch could be right around the corner. So let&#8217;s have a look.</p>

<h2>Red Magic 9 series surfaces on Wi-Fi Alliance</h2>

<p>The Chinese smartphone maker&#8217;s <a href="https://www.giztop.com/red-magic-9-pro.html">Red Magic 9</a> and Red Magic 9 Pro recently surfaced on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification platform. Looking at this listing, we know that the Red Magic 9 carries the model number NX721J, while the Red Magic 9 Pro has the NX769J model number. Furthermore, it was also revealed that both high end gaming devices will run on Android 13 OS out of the box. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Screenshot-2023-10-09-234523.png?x44794" alt="Red Magic 8S Pro Plus" class="wp-image-573558" width="591" height="601" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Screenshot-2023-10-09-234523.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Screenshot-2023-10-09-234523-295x300.png 295w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Screenshot-2023-10-09-234523-413x420.png 413w" sizes="(max-width: 591px) 100vw, 591px" /><figcaption>Red Magic 8S Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Unfortunately, finer details regarding the two smartphones are still unclear. Although, the Wi-Fi Alliance certification confirms support for 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. One model of the Red Magic 9 series recently surfaced on GeekBench as well, which revealed some of its key specifications. The device was equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC that is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Red-Magic-9-Pro-Wi-Fi-Alliance.webp?x44794" alt="Red Magic 9 Pro" class="wp-image-574092" width="460" height="551" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Red-Magic-9-Pro-Wi-Fi-Alliance.webp 559w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Red-Magic-9-Pro-Wi-Fi-Alliance-251x300.webp 251w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Red-Magic-9-Pro-Wi-Fi-Alliance-351x420.webp 351w" sizes="(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px" /></figure></div>

<p>Since it is a flagship gaming handset lineup, it isn&#8217;t surprising that it features top-notch specs. This series will also directly succeed the Red Magic 8 series as well as the <a href="https://www.giztop.com/red-magic-9-pro.html">Red Magic</a> 8S lineup, which <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/29/red-magic-8s-pro-launched-indonesia/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">launched earlier this year</a> in certain markets.</p>

The new device in question is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/asus-zenfone-10/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zenfone 10 </a>that is set to be unveiled at the end of this month. But prior to its release, the high end device was spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance.</p>

<h4>ASUS Zenfone 10 is an upcoming compact flagship phone</h4>

<p>For those unaware, the Taiwanese tech giant&#8217;s Zenfone 10 is set to be announced for the global market on June 29. However, just ahead of its release, it was spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance carrying the model number ASUS_AI2302. This certification confirms that the upcoming handset will have support 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz Wi-Fi frequency band support. Apart from this, the listing also reveals that the Zenfone 10 will run on Android 13 operation system out of the box.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ASUS-Zenfone-10-AI2302-Wi-Fi-Alliance.webp?x44794" alt="ASUS" class="wp-image-545810" width="570" height="683" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ASUS-Zenfone-10-AI2302-Wi-Fi-Alliance.webp 678w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ASUS-Zenfone-10-AI2302-Wi-Fi-Alliance-250x300.webp 250w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ASUS-Zenfone-10-AI2302-Wi-Fi-Alliance-351x420.webp 351w" sizes="(max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px" /></figure></div>

<p>Unfortunately, this was all the information revealed on this platform. But based on our previous reports, the device will sport a 5.9 inch AMOLED display that offers 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. In a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/06/17/asus-zenfone-10-press-renders-reveal-design-color-options-ahead-of-launch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recent leak</a>, we even covered render leak of the device, which revealed its design as well as its five color options. </p>

<p>Under the hood, it will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. In other words, it is a compact flagship phone. Other notable features include, a 200 megapixel rear camera with OIS support (Optical Image Stabilization), IP67 water and dust resistance, and 5,000mAh battery pack with support for 67W fast charging. So stick around for more as we will be covering the launch event later this month.</p>

<p>Back in April 2021, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> launched the Galaxy F02s in India. The device was launched as an entry-level smartphone with an affordable price tag of Rs. 8,999. Now, a new report has emerged stating that the brand is working on a successor of the device called the Galaxy F04s.</p>

<p>A <a href="https://pricebaba.com/blog/samsung-galaxy-f-series-phone-named-galaxy-f04s-possibly-in-the-works" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pricebaba report</a> reveals that the alleged Samsung Galaxy F04s has been spotted on the Wi-Fi alliance database with the model number SM-E045F/DS.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img src="https://www.91-cdn.com/pricebaba-blogimages/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Samsung-Galaxy-F04s-Wi-Fi-certified.jpg" alt="Samsung Galaxy F04s Wi-Fi certified" class="wp-image-116478"/></figure></div>

<p> It appears that Samsung is skipping a generation and jumping straight to Galaxy F04s. The SM-E045F/DS supports 2.4GHz single-band Wi-Fi, according to its Wi-Fi certification. The operating system on the device is Android 12. Unfortunately, no other details regarding the device are available as of yet.</p>

<p>Since the Samsung Galaxy F02s was a rebranded Galaxy M02s / Galaxy A02s, it is highly likely that the Galaxy F04s will also be a rebranded Galaxy A04s. Let&#8217;s take a look at the specifications of the Galaxy A04s to get an idea of what to expect from the Galaxy F04s.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" width="1047" height="547" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Samsung-Galaxy-A04s.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-488909" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Samsung-Galaxy-A04s.jpg 1047w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Samsung-Galaxy-A04s-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Samsung-Galaxy-A04s-1024x535.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Samsung-Galaxy-A04s-768x401.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Samsung-Galaxy-A04s-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Samsung-Galaxy-A04s-804x420.jpg 804w" sizes="(max-width: 1047px) 100vw, 1047px" /></figure></div>

<h3>Samsung Galaxy A04s specs</h3>

<p>The Samsung Galaxy A04s features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. It has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a Gorilla Glass 3 screen. The device sports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner built into the power button.</p>

<p>The Exynos 850 octa-core CPU is at&nbsp;the heart of the&nbsp;Galaxy A04s. It has a microSD card slot for expansion up to 1TB and 64GB of inbuilt storage with 4GB of RAM. Support for 4GB virtual RAM is also available. A 5,000mAh battery unit that supports 15W quick charging powers the gadget. On top of Android 12 OS, the smartphone runs OneUI 4.1.</p>

<p>The Samsung Galaxy A04s includes three cameras on the back, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP portrait camera. There is a 5MP selfie camera up front.</p>

<p>Interestingly, there&#8217;s another model of Samsung getting certified &#8212; SM-F12G/DS, which is believed to be named Samsung Galaxy F12 for some regions. However, this is just speculation at this point in time.</p>
<p>It has also been confirmed that both the phones will be running the latest <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-11">Android 11</a> operating system out-of-the-box, most likely with the company&#8217;s own One UI custom user interface on top. The company had initially launched its ROG lineup of gaming smartphone back in 2018 and had released a second iteration in 2019. Now, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/rog-phone-3/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Asus ROG Phone 3</a> might be in the works as a report reveals a possible sighting on Wi-Fi Alliance and Geekbench database.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-323633" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308.png?x44794" alt="Asus" width="571" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308.png 845w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-285x300.png 285w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-768x807.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-696x731.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-400x420.png 400w" sizes="(max-width: 571px) 100vw, 571px" /></p>
<p>Looking at the previous launch dates, the Asus ROG Phone 3 is expected to arrive in the second half of 2020. So far, Asus had yet to reveal any official details regarding its upcoming flagship entry. Although, a new sighting suggests that the device is already being developed and tested. A new Geekbench listing for an Asus smartphone was found online recently.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/20/redmi-10x-teaser-shows-design-color/">Redmi 10X design showcased in an official teaser; features quad-camera setup and gradient colors</a></strong></h6>
<p>The listing reveals the scores and model number of the unknown handset. It carries the number I003DD, which is quite similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/asus-rog-phone-2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ROG Phone 2</a>&#8216;s I001D. Thus, it is likely that the Geekbench scores are for the ROG Phone 3. Other details that have been discerned include <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-865/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 865</a> SoC, Android 10 OS and 8GB of RAM. The Asus flagship scored 902 points in single core test and 3,074 points in the multi core test.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class=" wp-image-323634 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-1.png?x44794" alt="Asus" width="529" height="591" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-1.png 798w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-1-268x300.png 268w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-1-768x858.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-1-696x778.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Screenshot-308-1-376x420.png 376w" sizes="(max-width: 529px) 100vw, 529px" /></p>
<p>Another indication of the Asus ROG Phone 3&#8217;s imminent launch, is the possible WiFi Alliance listing. This reveals that the device features Qualcomm’s QCA6390 chipset, 2×2 dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Direct, and Miracast support as well. The smartphone is seen here also carries the model number I003DD from Asus and only strengthens the belief that the ROG Phone 3 could arrive soon.</p>

<p>The Redmi Note 9 being spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance&#8217;s official website does imply that a launch could arrive soon, although an official date is yet to be announced. <p>Unfortunately, apart from the listings, we have nothing to more to go on. The Chinese tech giant may announce a launch date or a teaser soon, but a launch within this month is unlikely. As the Indian government plans on relaxing the mandatory lockdown in various regions, we may hear more from smartphone OEMs and their product launch dates. So stay tuned.</p>

<h4><strong>Wi-Fi 6 + 6GHz = Wi-Fi 6E</strong></h4>
<p>In January of this year, the Wi-Fi Alliance announced that Wi-Fi 6 devices that can operate on the third spectrum which is 6GHz will be called Wi-Fi 6E devices to distinguish them from those that can only operate on 2.4GHz and 5GHz.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h5><strong>What are the advantages of the 6GHz spectrum?</strong></h5>
<p>With Wi-Fi 6 operating on the same frequency as older Wi-Fi standards such as Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, there is bound to be interference. However, with support for 6GHz which has wider channel sizes, there will be less interference and faster speeds.</p>

<p>The press release by the Wi-Fi Alliance earlier this year said the 6GHz spectrum solves the Wi-Fi spectrum shortage problem by providing contiguous spectrum blocks for 14 additional 80MHz channels and 7 additional 160MHz channels. These additional channels are required by high-bandwidth applications that need faster data throughput such as HD-video streaming, AR, and VR.</p>
<p>Devices with support for Wi-Fi 6E will also be able to support more users at the same time even in very dense and congested areas thanks to the wider channels that 6GHz brings.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h5><strong>When will you be able to buy Wi-Fi 6E devices?</strong></h5>
<p>Wi-Fi 6E chipsets need to be made first. Broadcom already has one and says that the chipset will begin shipping to clients by late fall, 2020 which is in time for the holidays. Other manufacturers will most likely follow the same pattern.</p>
<p>Do note that you not only have to purchase a Wi-Fi 6E router, but your devices also have to support Wi-Fi 6E. So while routers may be available soon, devices such as phones and computers may take a bit more time.</p>

Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11 AX) is the new wireless standard just as 5G is the new network standard. This post will try to explain all you need to know about the new wireless standard in the simplest way possible.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-308192" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-featured.jpg?x44794" alt="Wi-Fi 6 featured" width="720" height="420" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-featured.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-featured-300x175.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-featured-696x406.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></p>
<h4><strong>What is Wi-Fi 6?</strong></h4>
<p>Wi-Fi 6 is the latest wireless technology that brings significant improvements to the wireless standard. It was created as a solution to our increasing needs for data connectivity and bandwidth requirement as there are now more devices that need to be connected to the internet.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4><strong>How fast is Wi-Fi 6?</strong></h4>
<p>Wi-Fi 6 is way faster than Wi-Fi 5. Its speeds can reach up to 9.6Gbps compared to Wi-Fi 5&#8217;s 3.5 Gbps. These speeds are the maximum for both wireless standards but you most likely will never reach those speeds in real-world usage.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4><strong>How is Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 AX) different from Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 AC)?</strong></h4>
<p>Speed isn&#8217;t the only difference between Wi-Fi 6 and WiFi 5. Its greatest strength is its capacity to support more devices while keeping the speeds up. Wi-Fi 6 supports 4x the bandwidth than Wi-Fi 5, so all the additional devices that are now connected to your network do not slow down your network speeds.</p>
<p>One pretty straightforward way the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 is explained is by using trucks and highways. Think of Wi-Fi 5 as a road with one lane for vehicles going in one direction and another lane for vehicles going in another direction. For Wi-Fi 6, you have more lanes for each direction. This means even with more cars on the road (read more devices on the network), the fact that there are more lanes, means speeds are not reduced.</p>
<p>Wi-Fi 6 is able to achieve this thanks to two new technologies &#8211; MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output) and OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access).</p>
<p>MU-MIMO (8 x 8) is explained by using delivery trucks. MU-MIMO on Wi-Fi 5 allows routers to connect to 4 devices at a time (even if there are more) but with Wi-Fi 6, the number of devices is increased to 8. So it is like having more trucks going to deliver goods to your customers.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-308191" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-MU-MIMO.png?x44794" alt="Wi-Fi 6 MU-MIMO" width="1068" height="616" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-MU-MIMO.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-MU-MIMO-300x173.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-MU-MIMO-768x443.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-MU-MIMO-1024x591.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-MU-MIMO-696x401.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-MU-MIMO-728x420.png 728w" sizes="(max-width: 1068px) 100vw, 1068px" /></p>
<p>OFDMA even takes it further. Bringing back the analogy of the trucks, OFDMA allows a truck to carry goods (data packets) to multiple locations (devices) at the same time. The image below should help you understand better.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_308096" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-308096" style="width: 1738px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-308096" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-OFDMA.png?x44794" alt="Wi-Fi 6 OFDMA" width="1738" height="499" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-OFDMA.png 1738w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-OFDMA-300x86.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-OFDMA-768x221.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-OFDMA-1024x294.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-OFDMA-696x200.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-OFDMA-1068x307.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-OFDMA-1463x420.png 1463w" sizes="(max-width: 1738px) 100vw, 1738px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-308096" class="wp-caption-text">Image source: TP-Link</figcaption></figure></p>

<h5></h5>
<h4><strong>Advantages of Wi-Fi 6</strong></h4>
<p>While discussing how Wi-Fi 6 differs from Wi-Fi 5, we have mentioned some of its advantages such as speed, support for more devices without sacrificing speeds, as well as efficiency but there are more.</p>
<ul>
<li>Security: Wi-Fi 6 brings a new security protocol called WPA3 (Wi-Fi Protected Access version 3) which replaces WPA2. WPA3 encrypts the connection between your device and the access point it is connected to. It also protects against brute-force attacks even if your Wi-Fi password is weak. WPA3 is not new as some current non-WiFi 6 devices and routers support it but with Wi-Fi 6, it is now a requirement.</li>
<li>More Data with 1024-QAM: Wi-Fi 6 connections are able to carry more data thanks to 1024-QAM which is also 25% faster than Wi-Fi 5&#8217;s 256-QAM.</li>
<li>No more Wi-Fi conflicts thanks to BSS Color: You know how there can be interference from neighboring connections, Wi-Fi 6 solves that with what is called BSS (Sase Service Station) Color. What it does is it marks other networks and causes the router to ignore them.
<p><figure id="attachment_308095" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-308095" style="width: 1751px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-308095" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-BSS-Color.png?x44794" alt="Wi-Fi 6 BSS Color" width="1751" height="703" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-BSS-Color.png 1751w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-BSS-Color-300x120.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-BSS-Color-768x308.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-BSS-Color-1024x411.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-BSS-Color-696x279.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-BSS-Color-1068x429.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-BSS-Color-1046x420.png 1046w" sizes="(max-width: 1751px) 100vw, 1751px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-308095" class="wp-caption-text">Image source: TP-Link</figcaption></figure></li>
<li>Improved battery life: With Wi-Fi 6, battery consumption is reduced thanks to a feature called Target Wake Time. What this does is it creates a schedule when devices check-in with a router. That way, a device doesn&#8217;t have to be awake all the time if there is no need to.</li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4><strong>How Do I get Wi-Fi 6?</strong></h4>
<p>To get Wi-Fi 6, you need to get a device that is Wi-Fi 6 certified. Devices that are certified will have the logo below.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-308094" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-certified-logo.png?x44794" alt="Wi-Fi 6 certified logo" width="318" height="146" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-certified-logo.png 318w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Wi-Fi-6-certified-logo-300x138.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px" /></p>
<p>It is important that you know that you need both a Wi-Fi 6 device and a Wi-Fi 6 router to enjoy the benefits Wi-Fi 6 brings. This is the same way one will have to purchase a pair of headphones that connect via Bluetooth 5.0 and having a phone that has Bluetooth 5.0 for you to be able to enjoy the benefits of Bluetooth 5.0.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4><strong>Available devices (phones) with Wi-Fi 6</strong></h4>
<p>The following smartphones support Wi-Fi 6:</p>
<ul>
<li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-11/">iPhone 11</a> series</li>
<li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s10-sd855/">Samsung Galaxy 10</a> series</li>
<li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s20/">Samsung Galaxy S20</a> series</li>
<li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-note-10/">Samsung Galaxy Note10</a> series</li>
<li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10-5g/">Xiaomi Mi 10</a> series</li>
<li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/zte-axon-10s-pro-5g/">ZTE Axon 10s Pro</a></li>
<li><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/03/black-shark-3-pro-launched-with-a-massive-7-1-inch-amoled-high-responsive-display-65w-fast-charging/">Black Shark 3</a> series</li>
</ul>
<p>It is important that you remember that you will also need to get a Wi-Fi 6 router such as Xiaomi&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/13/xiaomi-announces-mi-aiot-router-ax3600-with-support-for-wi-fi-6/">Mi AIoT Router AX3600</a>.</p>
<p>As more devices launch, Wi-Fi 6 should become more popular but do not expect all phones to come with the new wireless standard. That said, most flagships should have it.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>UP NEXT: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/20/huawei-executive-wi-fi-6-phones-are-not-as-fast-as-the-2-year-old-mate-20/">Huawei Executive: Wi-Fi 6 phones are not as fast as the 2-year old Mate 20</a></strong></h6>

A new report has revealed that the phone will be getting a new successor which will launch as the Redmi Y3.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-242201" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Redmi-Y3-Wi-Fi-certification.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi Y3 Wi-Fi certification" width="696" height="668" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Redmi-Y3-Wi-Fi-certification.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Redmi-Y3-Wi-Fi-certification-300x288.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The Redmi Y3 was seen on the website of the WI-Fi Alliance after receiving its Wi-Fi certification last week. The certification reveals the phone&#8217;s model number as <strong>M1810F6G</strong>. It will run Android 9 Pie out of the box and support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.</p>
<p>The rest of the specs of the phone are still unknown. The Redmi Y2 is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor but we don&#8217;t think upgrading to the Snapdragon 632 for the Redmi Y3 will be a smart move so it doesn&#8217;t hurt the sales of the Redmi 7 unless there is no plan to launch the Redmi 7 in India.</p>

<p>We expect the Redmi Y3 to still come with dual cameras like its predecessor, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and hopefully a bigger battery, and an improved selfie camera. The upcoming flagship has been spotted today on the website of the Wi-Fi alliance after getting certified. The Wi-Fi certification doesn&#8217;t reveal much but there is still a bit of info worth knowing.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-182729" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/OnePlus-6-WiFi-Certification.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus 6 WiFi Certification" width="616" height="588" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/OnePlus-6-WiFi-Certification.jpg 616w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/OnePlus-6-WiFi-Certification-300x286.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 616px) 100vw, 616px" /></p>
<p>The OnePlus 6&#8217;s model number is revealed to be A6003. This follows the pattern of previous OnePlus phones. It is also revealed that the phone is running Android 8.1.0 with firmware version OsygenOS 5.1.0. Just like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-5t/">OnePlus 5T</a>, the OnePlus 6 also supports dual band Wi-Fi.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-182732" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/OnePlus-6-WiFi-Certification-2-1.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus 6 WiFi Certification" width="720" height="581" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/OnePlus-6-WiFi-Certification-2-1.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/OnePlus-6-WiFi-Certification-2-1-300x242.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></p>
<p>Although it is still surprising that the OnePlus 6 will be launching early but seeing as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/24/oneplus-5t-goes-out-of-stock-north-america/">OnePlus 5T is out of stock in some markets</a> already, and OnePlus doesn&#8217;t have other phones it is selling, it makes sense why it is releasing a new phone earlier than expected.</p>

<p>The new flagship has been confirmed to feature a notch and will come in three variants this time. A new 256GB model will be released for those who want more storage. The phone will also cost more than the 5T.</p>
