<p>NVIDIA&#8217;s new RTX Spark platform was one of the biggest highlights at Computex Taipei 2026, with major PC brands including ASUS, Dell, Lenovo, and MSI unveiling compact desktop systems powered by the new AI-focused architecture. The launch marks NVIDIA&#8217;s first major step into the PC processor market and could reshape the future of AI PCs, creator workstations, and compact desktops.</p>

<h2><strong>NVIDIA RTX Spark Platform Takes Center Stage</strong></h2>

<p>The RTX Spark platform is an Arm-based system-on-chip (SoC) built around NVIDIA&#8217;s Grace and Blackwell technologies. It combines a 20-core CPU with a Blackwell GPU featuring 48 SM units and 6,144 CUDA cores. The platform also supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory.</p>

<p>NVIDIA says the chip is designed for local AI development, content creation, gaming, and AI inference workloads. The company also claims graphics performance comparable to an RTX 5070-class GPU in certain scenarios.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="951" height="669" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-44.png?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-741286" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-44.png 951w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-44-300x211.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-44-768x540.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-44-696x490.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-44-597x420.png 597w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-44-100x70.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 951px) 100vw, 951px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>ASUS, Dell, Lenovo, and MSI Showcase New Mini PCs</strong></h2>

<p>Several manufacturers introduced RTX Spark-powered mini PCs during the event. While each system features a unique chassis design, they share the same core platform and connectivity options.</p>

<h3><strong>ASUS ProArt GA10</strong></h3>

<p>The ASUS ProArt GA10 features a compact 150 × 150 × 51 mm design and supports up to 140W of cooling capacity. It includes four USB-C ports, HDMI output, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.</p>

<h3><strong>Dell XPS RTX Spark Desktop</strong></h3>

<p>Dell&#8217;s new compact desktop also adopts the RTX Spark platform. The system includes four USB-C ports, HDMI output, and 10GbE networking while maintaining a small footprint.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="960" height="382" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-45.png?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-741287" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-45.png 960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-45-300x119.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-45-768x306.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-45-696x277.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Lenovo RTX Spark Mini PC</strong></h3>

<p>Lenovo introduced a newly designed mini PC chassis built around RTX Spark. It offers the same set of connectivity options, including four USB-C ports, HDMI, and 10GbE Ethernet.</p>

<h3><strong>MSI EdgeMesa N AI+</strong></h3>

<p>MSI&#8217;s EdgeMesa N AI+ stands out with its white chassis design. The system targets content creators and AI developers while offering the same RTX Spark hardware foundation.</p>

<h2><strong>Shared Features Across All Models</strong></h2>

<p>Every RTX Spark mini PC showcased at Computex includes 10GbE networking, 20Gbps USB-C connectivity, PCIe Gen 5 M.2 SSD support, and up to 128GB unified memory.</p>

<h3><strong>Why RTX Spark Could Be a Game-Changer for PC Buyers</strong></h3>

<p>For consumers, RTX Spark could bring desktop-class AI performance, powerful graphics, and massive memory capacities into much smaller and more efficient PCs. Because the CPU, GPU, and up to 128GB of unified memory work together on a single platform, users may be able to run advanced AI models, edit high-resolution videos, and handle demanding creative workloads locally without relying heavily on cloud services.</p>

<p>If NVIDIA&#8217;s performance claims hold up, RTX Spark systems could also offer a compelling alternative to traditional Intel and AMD-powered PCs, increasing competition and giving buyers more choice.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The trade-off is that some older Windows applications and specialized software may face compatibility or optimization challenges, although Windows on Arm support has improved significantly in recent years.</p>

<p>We know that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/microsoft/">Microsoft</a> is working hard to enhance user&#8217;s Windows experience with the Snapdragon X Elite chipset. Devices with ARM chipsets offer long battery life without compromising performance. Windows on ARM isn&#8217;t actually something new; Microsoft started optimizing Windows for ARM processors a long time ago. However, there&#8217;s a challenge. It takes time for app developers to create software for ARM architecture.</p>

<p>A new software that runs natively on Windows on ARM is Opera&#8217;s web browser. Having software running natively on ARM is quite important because, without native support, software must run through an x86 to arm64 translation layer, which results in a performance loss. Apple also uses a translation layer named &#8220;Rosetta&#8221; to make possible to run x86 software on ARM processors.</p>

<p>In a recent blog post, Opera announced that the Opera One browser now natively supports Windows on ARM. If you have a Windows device with an ARM processor, you can download <a href="https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2024/06/opera-now-available-for-windows-on-arm/">the new Opera One</a> and see the new blog post from the given link.</p>

<p>Smartphone processors using ARM architecture are getting better and better every day. In fact, they have recently become powerful enough to defy computers. In particular, Apple has launched very powerful laptop and PC models with the M series processors. The company&#8217;s success convinced other chip manufacturers to enter the ARM PC market. MediaTek, one of the manufacturers in question, has set its sights on the Windows on ARM PC market.</p>

<h3>MediaTek still plans to enter the Windows on ARM PC market</h3>

<p>MediaTek, one of the most popular processor manufacturers in the world, continues its leadership in the smartphone market. However, the company wants to carry its success to the PC market. At an event hosted by the company, future plans were revealed. One of the MediaTek executives said that they see a $40 billion opportunity for the PC market.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mediatek-windows-on-arm-plans-1-1024x576.jpg?x23692" alt="MediaTek Kompanio Proceccors" class="wp-image-496199" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mediatek-windows-on-arm-plans-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mediatek-windows-on-arm-plans-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mediatek-windows-on-arm-plans-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mediatek-windows-on-arm-plans-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mediatek-windows-on-arm-plans-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mediatek-windows-on-arm-plans-1-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mediatek-windows-on-arm-plans-1.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The first target of MediaTek will be the Chromebook market. The company recently launched the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/11/11/mediatek-kompanio-520-528-announced/">Kompanio 520 and 528</a>, entry-level chipsets for Chromebooks. Both processors stand out with their efficiency and being sufficient for daily use. Unfortunately, the details of the tech giant&#8217;s future plans are unknown. </p>

<p>Still, MediaTek vice president Vince Hu said, “In CPU and GPU we are having to make some bigger investments as a foundational capability. Based on this sentence, it can be said that the company has serious goals for the Windows on ARM market.</p>

<p>Also, MediaTek will design improved CPUs and GPUs in-house rather than acquire them from third-party manufacturers as Qualcomm did. The new Kompanio 520 and 528, entry-level chipsets for Chromebooks, have been released today. MediaTek&#8217;s PC operations will be led by Adam King, MediaTek&#8217;s vice president and general manager of customer computing. King previously worked at Intel for ten years and held key positions.</p>

<p>As the name implies, the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 is a successor of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/03/qualcomm-snapdragon-8cx-2-5g-for-arm-laptops/">8cx Gen 2 model</a> that was launched last year. It is built using the 5nm process, a first for a chip made for Windows devices. The company has also promised an 85 percent improvement in CPU performance and 60 percent faster GPU performance.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-428552 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-Featured.jpg?x23692" alt="Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3" width="1820" height="1213" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-Featured.jpg 1820w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-Featured-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-Featured-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-Featured-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-Featured-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-Featured-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-Featured-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1820px) 100vw, 1820px" /></p>
<p>For connectivity, the chipset offers support for Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon X55, X62, and the X65 5G modems. To recap, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/09/qualcomm-next-gen-snapdragon-x65-5g-modem-10gbps-speeds/">Snapdragon X65</a> offers peak download speeds of up to 10Gbps, Snapdragon X55 delivers up to 7.5Gbps speeds while the Snapdragon X62 offers up to 4.4Gbps speed.</p>
<p>It packs Qualcomm’s Spectra ISP, which promises better autofocus, auto-white balance, and auto-exposure for videoconferencing. It supports a single camera up to 24MP, along with up to 4 concurrent cameras, and also has support for 4K HDR video capture at 30fps, slow motion 720p video at 480fps.</p>
<p>The chip now supports UFS 3.1 storage which offers faster read and write speeds. There&#8217;s also Qualcomm Voice Suite, which has Qualcomm Noise and Echo Cancellation technology to cancel out unwanted background sounds.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-428553 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3.jpg?x23692" alt="Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3" width="1720" height="1147" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3.jpg 1720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Snapdragon-8cx-Gen-3-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1720px) 100vw, 1720px" /></p>
<p>The company is claiming that the chip supports “multi-day battery life” but it has not provided any more details related to this. Devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 are expected to launch in the first half of 2022.</p>
<p>Qualcomm is also working on its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/17/qualcomm-next-gen-pc-chips-compete-apple-silicon-chips/">next-generation chips for Windows PC</a> that are expected to be powering devices from 2023. Those chips are designed by Nuvia, a company that was acquired by Qualcomm for $1.4 billion earlier this year. The next-generation Nuvia designed chips launching in 2023 are aimed to compete against Apple&#8217;s M-series chips.</p>

<p>So far, we have seen a few Windows computers powered by Qualcomm&#8217;s ARM chips and not from any other chipset maker and as it turns out, there&#8217;s a reason behind this. <a href="https://www.xda-developers.com/qualcomm-exclusivity-deal-microsoft-windows-on-arm/">XDA-Developers reports</a> that Qualcomm has an exclusive deal with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/microsoft">Microsoft</a> for Windows on ARM, but the deal is set to expire soon.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-417094 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Qualcomm-Logo.jpeg?x23692" alt="" width="1920" height="1080" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Qualcomm-Logo.jpeg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Qualcomm-Logo-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Qualcomm-Logo-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Qualcomm-Logo-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Qualcomm-Logo-696x392.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Qualcomm-Logo-1068x601.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Qualcomm-Logo-747x420.jpeg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p>Also, Microsoft has also publicly said that anyone can build a Windows on an ARM chip. The exclusive deal was in place because both Microsoft and Qualcomm worked together for the development of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/windows-on-arm">Windows on ARM</a>.</p>
<p>With the deal set to expire, we will be seeing more and more manufacturers competing in this space. There&#8217;s also a possibility that Samsung, which is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/09/09/samsung-exynos-amd-mrdna-gpu-report/">now working with AMD</a> for graphics processors on its chips, could make Exynos-powered Windows PCs.</p>
<p>MediaTek has already announced that the company is planning to build a chipset for Windows on ARM and with Qualcomm also working for the same for the past few years, it&#8217;s inevitable that the transition is about to take off from x86 architecture to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/arm">ARM</a>. It&#8217;s also high time for Windows given that Apple is making impressive progress towards this with its new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-silicon">Apple Silicon</a> chips.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been a few years since Windows on ARM was first announced and has made quite progress, including adding support for x64 emulation, along with ARM64EC, to make it easier to run apps natively with emulated plug-ins. There&#8217;s still more work to do but it&#8217;s good to see the development picking up pace and with more players getting involved, they can push the platform further.</p>

<p>Now, a video shared by B station UP master @Sunflower2333 showcases the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> Mi Pad 5 running the latest Windows 11 ARM operating system from Microsoft. This means that running the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/windows-10-arm">Windows 10 ARM</a> is also possible on the Mi Pad 5.</p>
<p><div style="width: 696px;" class="wp-video"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');</script><![endif]-->

<p>The device is smoothly running the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/windows-11">Windows 11</a> ARM at 2K screen resolution. The user adds that the CPU cores frequency has been reduced to effectively have a Power Saving Mode to increase the battery life for usage.</p>
<p>Prior to this, developers have managed to install the new Windows 11 ARM operating system on a few other devices, including Lumia 950, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/01/windows-11-spotted-running-on-half-a-decade-old-microsoft-lumia-950-xl/">Lumia 950 XL</a>, Mi 8, OnePlus 6T, Mi MIX 2, Mi 6, and other smartphones.</p>

<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/19/xiaomi-mi-pad-5-windows-11-arm/mi-pad-5-win-11-2/'><img width="575" height="871" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Mi-Pad-5-Win-11-2.png?x23692" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Windows 11" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Mi-Pad-5-Win-11-2.png 575w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Mi-Pad-5-Win-11-2-198x300.png 198w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Mi-Pad-5-Win-11-2-277x420.png 277w" sizes="(max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px" /></a>

<p>There&#8217;s no way Windows 11 operating system on the Mi Pad 5 gets official support or approval from Xiaomi. But the good thing is that such experiments imply that the development is still ongoing and the developers are making progress for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/windows-on-arm">Windows on ARM</a>.</p>
<p>In related news, Microsoft has been testing x64 emulation for Windows 10 on Arm for about a year now, but the company is now limiting the feature to Windows 11. It now allows x64 apps that haven’t been compiled for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/arm">Arm</a>-powered machines to run, allowing devices like the Surface Pro X to access more apps.</p>
