It was reported last month that Wings Lifestyle will enter the laptop segment by unveiling the Nuvobook series in September. The brand has finally launched the Nuvobook S1, Nuvobook S2, Nuvobook V1, and Nuvobook Pro laptops with a starting price of Rs 27,990. The new notebooks are available for purchase via Flipkart. According to the brand, the Nuvobook laptops are designed for first-time laptop buyers, students, and young working professionals.

Wings Nuvbook S1, S2, V1, and Pro models are all powered by 11th-generation Intel processors, Windows 11 Home, and a 4,825mAh battery. The notebooks offer up to 10 hours of battery life. In addition, these devices come with a 65-watt charger that can achieve 60 percent charge in 1 hour.

The S1, S2, and V1 notebooks feature a 15.6-inch IPS LCD Full HD display, whereas the Pro model has a 14-inch IPS LCD FHD display. All four notebooks support up to 300 nits of brightness and a 100 percent sRGB color gamut.

Wings announces its plans to launch laptops

The Wings Nuvobook series is confirmed to launch in mid-September. It will be exclusively available on the e-commerce platform Flipkart. The brand has announced that the upcoming Nuvobook will comprise of four models including S1, S2, V1, and Pro. All variants will range from entry-level offerings that are said to be ideal for school, college, and office work.  

The Wings Nuvobook series laptops are confirmed to be powered by Intel Core processors. The Nuvobook S1 and S2 will be equipped with a Core i3 coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Meanwhile, the Nuvobook V1 will come with Core i5 paired with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Nuvobook Pro will be the top-end offering in the series with a Core i7 coupled with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Wings Nuvobook  S1, S2, and V1 will feature a 15.6-inch display whereas the Pro model will have a 14-inch screen. 

All four Wings Nuvobook series laptops are said to offer a Full HD display, a battery life of up to 10 hours with support for 65W Type-C charging, and Windows 11 OS. The devices will be lightweight and equipped with aluminum alloy. The Nuvobook Pro is also said to come with a backlit keyboard and a 180-degree hinge. 

Wings says that the sub-Rs 20,000 laptop segment has remained untapped. Hence there is a distinct gap between legacy players and cheaper laptop brands.

Wings has just released a new audio based product in the Indian market. The company has launched the Phantom 110 Gaming neckband earphones. So let’s have a look at the new hearable.

The brand had just recently unveiled its Phantom 200 truly wireless gaming earbuds in the region just last month. Now, the latest hearable products unveiled by the company is the Phantom 110 Gaming earphones. As the name suggests, it features a neckband format with an in ear design for the eartips. The wireless earphones is launched for mobile gamers thanks to its ultra low latency mode that reduces delay down to 50ms and a dedicated Gaming Mode with zero audio lag.

Under the hood, the Phantom 110 is also equipped with the latest Bluetooth version 5.3 chipset that offers dual pairing and Speed Sync high speed connectivity. This basically lets users switch between two paired devices. Furthermore, the earphones also offers the company’s proprietary Open and On tech that automatically connects the neckbands when turned on. This makes auto pairing faster as well. The Phantom 110 Gaming Neckband also houses 13mm drivers that promises to offer high bass and improved audio quality.

The earphones comes with tactical buttons on the stem control, with bass boost, volume, and multi function buttons switch modes. This also contains an ENC mic for noise cancellation when the users make calls. As per official notes, the Phantom 110 will offer up to 20 hours of audio playback that supports Bullet Charge technology through a USB Type C port. With a 15 minute charge, the earphones offer an impressive 7 hours of playback. Other features include, battery level indicators, voice assistant support, and IPX5 water and sweat resistance.

The latest offering is aimed at gaming enthusiasts to ensure that there are no distractions during gameplay. The audio device comes with various features and also carries an affordable price tag. 

The Wings Phantom 200 features an in-ear design with a stem and silicone ear tips for a comfortable fit. It supports touch controls for accessing various features. The earphones come in a gamer case design with LED lights that highlight battery status indicator. The audio device is IPX5-rated sweat and water-resistant. Users can enable game mode by tapping the right earbud for 2 seconds.

On the audio front, the Wings Phantom 200 are equipped with a 13mm driver for surround sound. It also features quad-DNS microphones for better voice quality. There is an environmental noise cancellation that suppresses external noise. It offers a dedicated gaming mode with 40ms ultra-low latency for lag-free audio. The audio device features Bluetooth 5.3 and can be connected to two devices simultaneously and up to 15m range. The earphones also support Siri and Google Assistant. 

The Wings Phantom 200 is claimed to deliver 30 hours of battery life with each earbud said to offer 8 hours of usage. The TWS earphones support fast charging via USB-C port that is said to deliver 20 hours of playback in 10 minutes of charging.

The Wings Phantom 210 costs Rs 999 and can be purchased from Flipkart and the brand’s website in Black and White colours.

Indian companies Wings and Optiemus Electronics have inked a partnership that will lead to the manufacture of TWS earbuds, soundbars, speakers, as well as computer and gaming accessories in India. The devices will be produced in Optiemus’ cutting-edge facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh with a capacity to manufacture 1.5 million TWS earbuds each month. The production of the made-in-India TWS earbuds will commence soon while other products like keyboards, soundbars, speakers, and gaming accessories will subsequently follow.

According to Wing’s CEO, Nohit Sharma, the brand is one of the best in the audio and gaming gear segment. It is adding more value to its product offerings by manufacturing the devices in India. The move is a massive boost for the central government’s effort to stimulate investment and employment through the Make in India initiative. Wings say it wants its Indian gamers to revel in the pride of using accessories locally made.

Optiemus CEO, Nitesh Gupta expressed excitement at the partnership with Wings. He says both parties will leverage their strengths in the Indian wearables/ hearables market to further expand their market share. Optiemus is a leading local manufacturer of smartwatches. Its smartwatch brands accounted for 75% of shipments as per the recent Counterpoint report. The financial component of the partnership was not divulged by both parties.

The Wings Phantom 260 wireless gaming earbuds have been unveiled in India. The new TWS earbuds feature 13mm graphene drivers, BoldBass, SpeedSync, Bluetooth 5.3, and up to 30 hours of playback. The Wings Phantom 260 supports environmental noise cancellation (ENC), 40ms low latency, and Bullet Charge.

Each of the earbuds is designed for maximum comfort while in use and a great audio experience. You can toggle between the standard and game modes using a 5-second button press and the ENC architecture consists of four mics. The BoldBass technology ensures that the user gets the best quality audio while gaming or listening to music. You can pair the Wings Phantom 260 instantly with the opening of the case. With its battery, up to 8 hours of audio on a single charge can be achieved, and 10 minutes of charge yields 100 minutes of playtime.

Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri are supported on the Wings Phantom 260. You can also use the voice controls to play music, make or receive calls, and adjust volume among others. The pair of earbuds is IPX5-rated for sweat and water resistance, while the range of Bluetooth connectivity is 15 meters.

The earbuds will be available in white and black colors and weigh 120g. The earbuds will go on sale on September 12 and can be purchased via the Wings website or Amazon India. The launch price of the Wings Phantom 260 is Rs. 999 (~$13) but will subsequently revert to its original price of Rs. 1,499 (~$19).
