Xiaomi has an event scheduled for April 25. Most people are of the opinion that it is the launch of the Mi 6X but Xiaomi itself hasn’t officially confirmed that. However, a new poster might be the confirmation we need.

The new teaser poster which was shared on Xiaomi’s official Weibo page is a photo of Canadian-Chinese actor, Wu Yifan (Kris Wu) who is Xiaomi’s brand ambassador. The text on the photo reads “6X” and “Vision Impossible/AI See You”. This officially confirms the existence of the Mi 6X and also hints at its AI features and camera prowess. Although it doesn’t have the date of the event, we are pretty sure the poster is tied to the upcoming launch.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to launch with a 5.99” FHD+ display. It should come with a Snapdragon 660 processor with Qualcomm’s Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE), 4GB/6GB RAM, and 32GB/64GB/128GB ROM.

It will have dual rear cameras in the same design as the Redmi Note 5 Pro and in a 12+20MP configuration and a 20MP selfie camera. Powering it is a 2,910mAh battery.

Following the launch of the Mi 6X in China, the phone should also launch in India and the rest of the world as the Mi A2 under the Android One program.

Xiaomi’s brand ambassador is Chinese-Canadian actor and singer Kris Wu a.k.a. Wu Yifan. Tomorrow is his 27th birthday and to mark it, Xiaomi has made a special Wu Yifan edition of the Mi Note 3.

The limited edition smartphone will be presented to him as a “surprise gift” according to Xiaomi. However, we are not sure if it will be available for purchase to the general public.

The Wu Yifan Mi Limited Edition Mi Note 3 has the same color as the standard blue variant. However, the back of the phone has the actor’s name written in gold. There is a possibility it will come in a custom box with special gifts and also have some UI changes (custom theme). We will have to wait till tomorrow to find out if our guesses are right.

The Mi Note 3 can be called a larger but less powerful version of the Mi 6. It has a 5.5” FHD display, a Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage. There are dual rear cameras, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3500mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.

Xiaomi‘s President has sensationally revealed via a Weibo post that the tech giant will be launching the flagship Mi Note 3 soon. Lin Bin didn’t specify if the device will be announced on September 11 but from his previous Weibo post, it certainly will likely launch with the Mix 2. The Xiaomi president had disclosed in an earlier Weibo post that Xiaomi will also announce another product with the Mi Mix 2 billed to go official on September 11.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has featured severally in leaks which point at its likely design as well as its likely specs but Lin Bin also revealed a surprise detail of the Note 3. The CEO in his post hinted that the Mi Note 3 would be a larger version of the flagship Mi 6. The teaser poster he shared along with post also passes across the same message. What this basically suggests is that the Mi Note 3 will have a curved display as well as a glass body like the Mi 6 but will come with a larger size. The Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch display and the Note 3 may come in at 5.7 inches just like the Mi Note 2. The flagship comes with a premium design which is curved on all sides and is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor.We also expect entirely the same specifications as the Mi 6, perhaps with out or two modifications in its specs.

In addition, the poster also reveals that the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will be endorsed by Wu Yifan who was also the company’s brand ambassador for the Mi 5X launched recently. By the way, Lei Jun also has confirmed that the Mi Note 3 will be launched alongside the Mi Mix 2. So, which do you prefer, a full-screen Mi Mix 2 or a bigger Mi 6?

This morning we learnt that Meizu will be launching its flagship, the Pro7, on July 26. New info from tech analyst, Kevin Wang says Xiaomi also has an event on that same day. Although he didn’t specify the device launching, sources say it is the Xiaomi Mi 5X.

The Mi 5X is the latest Xiaomi device in the news. The new smartphone is the same one that is supposed to take on Vivo and OPPO with its photography centered specs. Initially thought to launch under a new sub-brand called Lanmi (Blue Rice) and as the Lanmi X1, it appears things have taken a different turn.

The Xiaomi Mi 5X will feature dual rear cameras said to be a combination of a Sony IMX386 sensor and a Samsung S5K3M3 CMOS sensor. It will also have a 16MP front facing camera. A leaked poster says it will have a 5.5-inch display,Snapdragon 625 processor, and 4GB of RAM. Price tag is set at ¥1999 (~$295).

There is also mention of a high-end model with a Snapdragon 660, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. If the base version is priced at almost $300, we should expect at most a $350 price on the high-end model and that is not too far from the price of the Mi 6.

Xiaomi teased the new product today by making a joke about a photo studio run by a certain Mr. X. Turns out they were referring to their new brand ambassador, Wu Yifan as a picture uploaded on his weibo page shows him in a photographer’s studio holding a phone.

Zoom in on the device and you can make out the same camera bump present on the first leaked image of the Xiaomi Mi 5X (X1).

Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor released a poster of their upcoming phone the Honor V9 a few days ago. The launch is scheduled for February 21 and will take place in Beijing. The company has released a new image via its official Weibo account mentioning that a new device called the Honor 8 Youth Edition will also be launched  in China on February 21.

The Honor 8 Youth Edition is a toned-down variant of the popular Honor 8 released last year. It has the same attractive glass and metal design as the Honor 8 but skips on a number of features.

The Honor 8 Youth Edition is expected to launch with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a Huawei Kirin 655 processor, and 3GB of RAM. Instead of dual rear cameras, the phone  gets a single 12MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Up front is an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. The device will come with a 3000mAh battery and will launch with EMUI 5.0 out of the box. It will be available in black, white, gold, and blue.

The Honor 8 Youth Edition poster has the picture of Chinese-born Canadian singer, Wu Yifan on it. This means he’ll be serving as spokesperson for the phone when it launches.

The Honor 8 Youth Edition is the same as the Honor 8 Lite spotted in Finland earlier this month and also the same device as the Nova Lite and the Huawei P8 Lite (2017) released in January. It is possible that Huawei is releasing the device under different names in different regions. The Honor 8 Lite is priced at 269 Euros in Finland which is roughly ¥1990. However, it should sell for less when it is released in China.
