The cable ships in quite a simple box and inside of it you get the cable itself and some paperwork.

The cable sports excellent build quality. It also has solid metal connectors that don’t seem to break anytime soon.

Xcentz used premium zinc alloy which is way stronger than traditional aluminum alloy. Further, you can always keep the cable folded neatly thanks to the supplied velcro cable management strap.

Another key selling point – a durable braided nylon cable that also looks really nice. In fact, the cable can hold up to 175 pounds (80 KG), which is quite impressive.

Further, the cable can withstand over 30,000 bends which are way more than the traditional cable that can withstand about 6000 bends.

This cable supports Power Delivery (PD) fast charging.

That means you can use this cable with your USB-C PD charger (including Apple 18W, 29W, 30W, 61W, or 87W USB-C Power Delivery charger) to charge your iOS device, and get fast charging for iPhone 11/11 Pro/11 Pro Max/XS Max/XS/XR/X/8/8 Plus, iPads, and later models.

It’s worth noting that the cable is Apple MFi Certified, which means it has the best security chips inside.

The cable comes in a variety of colors including blue, red, black and silver. I have the blue one which looks really nice. 

The cable also works well with syncing as I had no issues transferring data from my phone to the laptop. I’ve tested the cables with different phones and laptops and they’ve been working without any issues.

There are plenty of charging solutions out there. If you have one device e.g. a phone, you probably use a charger it shipped with.

However, if you want to charge multiple devices, you need a charging solution that has multiple ports. I’ve been using a lot of different charging hubs both for the office and home use and for traveling. The one I’ve been using lately is made by Xcentz and I love it for quite a few reasons.

I just love the shape and size of this mini charging station. It’s made of high-quality plastic and it’s really sturdy. The top of the device has a nice frosted plastic finish and the rest of the outer shell has glossy plastic material.

Further, I like how compact this device is. It does not take much space on the table and most importantly, it fits comfortably in my travel backpack. The bottom has nice silicone padding that prevents the charger from sliding on the table or other surfaces.

We have 3 regular USB ports that each provide 2.4A of power output, 1 quick-charge 3.0 compatible port and 1 USB-C port that can provide up to 3A of power output.

It’s worth mentioning that the Xcentz charging hub has all the bells and whistles when it comes to charging safety: it’s got overcharging, overcurrent and other latest security chips inside, so you can rest assured your device’s battery will be charged safely.

All in all, the Xcentz has become my favorite charging hub for traveling because of its size, versatility, and reliability.

The market of wireless earphones is pretty crowded and it might be hard to choose the right pair of buds, especially if you are on a budget. I’ve come across the Xcentz Bluetooth necklace style earphones that cost about $30 but they are just packed with features.

The earphones are shipped in quite a nice looking packaging where all the accessories are packed neatly.

Inside the box, you can find a few extra ear tips, USB cable, and some paperwork.

DESIGN and COMFORT

As for design, we are looking at a very light necklace-type headset. You rubber material of the necklace is nice to the skin and feels comfortable.

The actual headphones have a quality metal housing and they can be attached to one another using magnets. The overall build quality is really good. The Xcentz earphones look and feel a bit more expensive than they actually cost.

I found the earphones to be comfortable to wear for hours and they do not fall out of my ears, which is really important to any type of music device.

The controller allows you to play/pause, increase/decrease the volume, skip tracks or turn on/off the headphones.

KEY FEATURES and TEST NOTES

The key features of the Xcentz earphones include Bluetooth 5 which has better range (about 30m) over previous generation Bluetooth protocols.

Further, the headset is sweat proof thanks to IPX7 certification meaning you can use the device in the rain or at the gym while sweating and burning calories.

The battery life has been really good. I could get over 8 hours of music playback on a single charge. A 10-minute charge keeps you going for 70 minutes which is another highlight feature of the Xcentz earphones.

The built-in mic assures pretty good call quality as people on the other end could hear me properly and without significant sound distortions.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is really good considering the price of the earphones.

The sound is balanced, the volume output is really good and I like soft and punchy bass. Further, I like a good separation between lows, mids and highs. Overall, I’m really impressed with the sound quality given the price tag of just below $30.

CONCLUSIONS

The Xcentz neckband earphones are really impressive considering the price. They offer nice design, excellent build, good comfort and most importantly, the sound quality is really good.

I’ve used the earphones for more than 2 weeks and so far, I haven’t noticed any shortcomings.

If you add the latest Bluetooth 5, good battery life with quick charging support and IPX7 water resistance rating, you are looking at a high-quality pair of earphones that I can easily recommend.
