Xiaomi has launched a new ethernet switch – the Xiaomi 10G switch with dual 10G Ethernet ports. The 10G switch had been on the waiting list and customers can now get the gadget in China. Xiaomi also released a Gigabit router model. The 10G switch is available in a white plastic housing as seen from its released images.

Features

The Xiaomi 10G switch is suitable for use in smaller areas like studios or small offices. It features two 10G SFP+ network ports with a maximum transmission speed of 10G. It has a total output capacity of 60Gbps and supports high-speed connection to devices such as workstations. There are also four 2.5G network ports on the router with support for multiple speeds of 10/ 100/ 1000/ 2500M and 8K streaming capabilities. It is also compatible with 10G optical modems, 10G NAS, 10G routers, and high-speed workstations.

In terms of cooling, the Xiaomi 10G switch omits an active cooling fan and has a plastic shell housing. Although it can be well integrated into the home setting, close attention is required in monitoring its heat dissipation.

Pricing & Availability

The Xiaomi 10G switch is priced at 299 yuan ($41) and can be purchased directly from JD.com. The Xiaomi One Gigabit router pricing and availability details are yet to be released. Xiaomi has also not provided any global availability and pricing information for the 10G switch at this time.
