<p>MIUI 14 update is now available for two more devices in India. These phones are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-11i/">Xiaomi 11i</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-11i-hypercharge/">Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge</a>.</p>

<p>For the unaware, the two smartphones are rebranded versions of the Chinese <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-11-pro/">Redmi Note 11 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-note-11-pro/">Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus</a>. They are getting the latest MIUI software after the original models.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="710" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-1024x710.jpg?x10805" alt="xiaomi 11i series featured" class="wp-image-435623" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-1024x710.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-300x208.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-768x532.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-218x150.jpg 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-696x483.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-1068x740.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-606x420.jpg 606w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured.jpg 1141w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-14/">MIUI 14</a> update for the Xiaomi 11i series in India also brings along Android 13. Thus, the device has now received two MIUI and Android updates each.</p>

<p>The update comes with build number <em>V14.0.1.0.TKTINXM</em>. As per <a href="https://xiaomiui.net/xiaomi-11i-hypercharge-miui-14-update-released-for-india-43129/"><em>Xiaomiui</em></a>, it is currently only available for ‘Mi Pilot Testers’.</p>

<p>If this software build doesn’t have major issues, it will be pushed to a limited number of public users as ‘Stable Beta’. Later, it will be rolled out to all users gradually. In other words, the update should reach all units within the next few weeks.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 11i and the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge debuted with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. They were updated to MIUI 13 and Android 12 last year.</p>

<p>We are not sure if these two phones will receive any further major software updates. But there’s a chance they will as newer <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> smartphones are eligible for three Android updates. They may at least get access to a third MIUI update.</p>

<p>That said, users of the handsets can periodically head over to Settings to check whether their unit has got the latest OTA system update.</p>

<p>The MIUI 13 update could precede a subsequent Android 12 OS upgrade for the two smartphones in the subcontinent. The Xiaomi 11i and 11i HyperCharge are basically the same models except for their different battery capacities and charging speeds. While the 11i comes with a 5,160mAh battery with 67W charging, the HyperCharge model packs 120W charging for its 4,500mAh battery. The 11i HyperCharge is slightly lighter than the 11i and also more expensive.</p>

Both models have side-mounted fingerprint readers. The 11i HyperCharge has a different name in China, as it is the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. More details about the MIUI 13 update will be available subsequently.</p>

<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>It&#8217;s quite a major feat considering the Mi 10i was an extremely popular device already, being one of the cheapest 5G offerings when it was launched. The phone had registered record-breaking sales of Rs 400 crore in just three weeks, and it now appears that the Xiaomi 11i series will be bringing in even more money.</p>
<p>Xiaomi equates the good figures to a &#8216;HyperCharge Revolution&#8217;, which is quite reasonable considering the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is currently one of the fastest charging phones on the Indian market right now. 120W fast charging support is no joke and is claimed to fill up the device&#8217;s 4,500mAh battery from 0% to 100% in only 15 minutes. Its more affordable sibling &#8212; the vanilla Xiaomi 11i &#8212; meanwhile comes with 67W Turbocharge support.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-435628 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-1024x993.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="696" height="675" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-1024x993.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-300x291.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-768x745.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-696x675.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-1068x1036.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-433x420.jpg 433w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-1920x1862.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>But it&#8217;s not the charging and the battery department that the Xiaomi 11i series shines, as the rest of the spec sheet is just as compelling for the price.</p>
<p>Under the hood, you get the fairly powerful MediaTek Dimensity 920 chip. The display is an FHD+ 6.67-inch flat AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, and 360Hz touch sampling. For photography, you get a 108MP+8MP+2MP triple camera setup at the rear and a 16MP shooter up front.</p>
<p>The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge starts at ₹26,999 while the standard Xiaomi 11i starts at ₹24,999 for the 6GB+128GB variants.</p>

And given its compelling specs, it wasn&#8217;t surprising when the company managed to sell <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/01/redmi-note-11-series-500000-units-sale-china/">500,000 units within an hour</a>. While the devices are yet to make it globally, Indian users waiting to get their hands and on them will now finally be able to do so.</p>
<p>A product launch announcing the Xiaomi 11i 5G and Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G was held on Thursday. While both come with nearly the same specifications, there is a key difference in their charging capabilities &#8212; just like the naming scheme implies. The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G supports the ultrafast 120W charging standard while the Xiaomi 11i opts for a less zealous 67W rating.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-435628 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-1024x993.jpg?x10805" alt="xiaomi 11i inline" width="696" height="675" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-1024x993.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-300x291.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-768x745.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-696x675.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-1068x1036.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-433x420.jpg 433w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-inline-1920x1862.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>However, there is another major difference &#8212; the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge features a 4500mAh battery, which is a tad smaller than the 5160mAh packed into the Xiaomi 11i. Also included are 34 charging and battery safety features, spanning the entire charging path from the charger to the circuit to the battery.</p>
<p>Other than this, you get MediaTek Dimensity 920 on both of the models, which in terms of benchmarks scores only around 30% lower than the flagship Dimensity 1200 chip. The display is a 6.67” 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED with a peak brightness of 1200nits. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. For audio, you get dual symmetrical stereo speakers with Dolby.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-435627 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-features-1024x690.jpg?x10805" alt="xiaomi 11i series features" width="696" height="469" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-features-1024x690.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-features-300x202.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-features-768x518.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-features-696x469.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-features-1068x720.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-features-623x420.jpg 623w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-features.jpg 1448w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>Moving on to the optics department, both the 11i and 11i Hypercharge again come with identical camera specifications with a triple camera setup at the rear. It is comprised of a <span class="xm-text title" data-key="" data-type="text" data-id="rl1q64pksx">108MP (<span class="xm-text desc" data-key="" data-type="text" data-id="otrbp5hrfb">1/1.52&#8243;</span>) primary shooter, complemented by an 8MP ultrawide angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.45, housed within a centrally aligned punch hole.</span></p>
<p>Speaking of design, the Xiaomi 11i series adopts a boxier body with flat edges. The back panel is made of AG glass with a matte finish. Both phones have the same thickness at 8.3mm but the HyperCharge model is lighter at 204g than the vanilla model&#8217;s 207g. The bezels surrounding the screen are slim enough, although the chin does have a bit of a height. The fingerprint is present on the side and the 3.5mm headphone jack is retained.</p>
<p>Color options of the Xiaomi 11i series include Camo Green, Pacific Pearl, Purple Mist, and Stealth Black.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-435623 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-1024x710.jpg?x10805" alt="xiaomi 11i series featured" width="696" height="483" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-1024x710.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-300x208.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-768x532.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-218x150.jpg 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-696x483.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-1068x740.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured-606x420.jpg 606w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/xiaomi-11i-series-featured.jpg 1141w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>Xiaomi 11i is launched in two variants &#8212; 6GB+128GB at INR 24,999 and 8GB+128 GB at INR 26,999. Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge is launched in two variants &#8212; 6GB + 128GB at INR 26,999 and 8GB + 128GB at INR 28,999.</p>
<p>Both phones will be up for grabs through Mi.com, Flipkart.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio, and authorized retail partners starting January 12th.</p>

<h2><b>Introduction</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Although Xiaomi India teases Xiaomi 11i as a brand new smartphone, we all know that it isn’t. MIUI code had </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/29/xiaomi-11i-hypercharge-india-rebranded-redmi-note-11-pro-plus/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">already revealed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> that this device is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro+, which </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/28/redmi-note-11-trio-announced-oled-lcd-screens-mediatek-socs/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">debuted in China</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> at the end of October. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">For the unaware, the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-note-11-pro/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Redmi Note 11 Pro+</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is almost identical to the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-11-pro/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Redmi Note 11 Pro</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. The only differences between the two are their battery capacity and charging speed. The Pro has a 5,160mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging as compared to a smaller 4,500mAh battery and a whopping 120W fast charging on the Pro+.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge gets its name from its fast charging capability. Though MIUI code has confirmed the existence of vanilla Xiaomi 11i (</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Redmi/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Redmi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Note 11 Pro) for India, we are not sure if it will make its way to the country alongside its bigger sibling on the same day.</span></p>
<h2><b>Launch Date</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is set to launch in India on January 6, 2022. The event will kickstart at 12 PM IST. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Interested readers can watch it on the company’s official YouTube channel. They can even keep updated with the event on the firm’s official Twitter handle.</span></p>
<h2><b>Design</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will feature a flat frame design like the newer iPhones. However, the frame will be of plastic instead of metal.</span></p>

<p>While we already know that the Chinese tech giant is gearing up to launch the 11i series of 5G smartphones in India in a few days, finer details regarding these devices were still at large. But now, a <a href="https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/xiaomi-11i-series-will-be-among-the-first-to-feature-the-mediatek-dimensity-920-soc-in-india/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MySmartPrice</em> </a>report has revealed some interesting information about the upcoming handsets, which include the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-11i-hypercharge/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge</a> and a base 11i model as well. Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer of the company&#8217;s India unit told MySmartPrice that &#8220;The Xiaomi 11i is going to be the first, or among one of the first to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC.&#8221;</p>
<p>For those unaware, the Dimensity 920 SoC was announced back in August and has already been powering smartphones in China, although, this chip has yet to make its way to India. In other words, the 11i lineup will be among the first to bring the 5G MediaTek chipset to India. Unfortunately, the senior executive refrained from revealing any finer details regarding the new devices.</p>

<p>Talking about the upcoming smartphones, the Xiaomi 11i and 11i HyperCharge will be based on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/redmi-note-11/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Redmi Note 11</a> series in China. The Note 11 Pro will be the base 11i while the Pro+ variant will be the HyperCharge version. Most specifications are expected to be the same if not identical, but we will have to wait for an official announcement to know for sure.</p>

<p>According to a <a href="https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/xiaomi-120w-phone-launching-in-india-soon-exclusive/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>91Mobiles</em> </a>report, the Chinese tech giant could launch either the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-11t-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Xiaomi 11T Pro</a> or the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-note-11-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Redmi Note 11 Pro+</a> that was recently announced in China. The news arrives from industry sources close to the matter who also revealed that the announcement of this device would likely be before January.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_422342" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-422342" style="width: 500px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-422342 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/b-1.jpg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge" width="500" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/b-1.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/b-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/b-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/b-1-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-422342" class="wp-caption-text">11i HyperCharge</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>In other words, the smartphone with 120W fast charging support will launch sometime in December, although, an exact date of announcement is still unknown. Recently, the Xiaomi 11T Pro&#8217;s battery was spotted on the BIS certification database with the model number BM58, while a tipster had also revealed that the smartphone along with other products will launch in India soon. So, the 11T Pro might be the 120W fast charging model in question that is set to launch soon. Keep in mind that this is just an unconfirmed report at the moment, so take it with a pinch of salt for now.</p>

According to <a href="https://twitter.com/stufflistings/status/1461182484025016331">well-known tipster Mukul Sharma</a>, several other Xiaomi and Redmi devices will also debut soon in the Indian market. Here are some of the expected products that are expected to arrive in the country.</p>
<p>The Redmi Smart Band Pro, which is an updated version of the last year’s Redmi Smart Band is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/15/redmi-smart-band-pro-india-launch-soon/">likely to launch soon in India</a>. In fact, it is being speculated that it may go official alongside the Redmi Note 11T 5G on Nov. 30. Xiaomi recently unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-watch-2-lite/">Redmi Watch 2 Lite</a> in global markets. Probably, this smartwatch may also debut in the country before the end of this year.</p>

<p>It is unclear which other Redmi devices will be launching this year. The Redmi Note 11 series, which is expected to arrive with a refreshed design and different chipset as compared to its Chinese edition, may not launch this year.</p>
<p>Xiaomi India is expected to announce the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-11t">Xiaomi 11T</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-11t-pro">11T Pro</a> flagship phones in India soon<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/29/xiaomi-11t-pro-indian-variant-may-launch-in-november/">. A recent report claimed</a> that the Pro model will debut this month in India. These phones were made official in global markets in September.  Since the Chinese manufacturer had released Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro in the country, the 11T series are also expected to make their way in the country.</p>
