Tipster Yogesh Brar revealed last month that Xiaomi is planning to launch the Xiaomi 12X and 12X Pro flagship phones in India. As the names suggest, the 12X and 12X Pro are expected to succeed the Xiaomi 11X and 11X Pro from last year. He added that the 12X will have the Dimensity 8100 chipset, whereas the Pro model will get the Dimensity 9000 SoC.

In all likelihood, the Xiaomi 12X and 12X Pro are likely to be rebranded versions of the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro smartphones, which debuted in March in China. The Xiaomi 12 Pro carries a starting price of Rs 62,999 (~$813). There is no information on the pricing of the Xiaomi 12X and 12X Pro.

In related news, Xiaomi’s China division is reportedly planning to launch the Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro smartphones in the home market. Both phones are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset. These phones will be arriving as updated versions for the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro.
