<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> is officially entering the open-ear audio category with its first clip-on wireless earphones, and one of the more unexpected details is how much attention the company is giving to Apple users this time.</p>

<p>According to Xiaomi’s latest teasers, the upcoming earbuds will support Apple’s Find My network, allowing users to locate the earphone case even from thousands of miles away through Apple devices much like AirPods or other certified accessories. Xiaomi also confirmed smart dual-device connectivity across both Android and iOS ecosystems.</p>

<p>That cross-platform compatibility could mean a lot to users who mix Android and Apple devices in daily use but are unwilling to spend extra on a pair of AirPods just for the ecosystem features.</p>

<p>The earphones themselves follow the increasingly popular open-ear clip-on design rather than the traditional in-ear style. Each bud weighs around 5.5 grams and uses a flexible memory titanium wire structure designed to wrap gently around the ear without creating too much pressure during long listening sessions.</p>

<p>Xiaomi is also putting <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/15/xiaomis-first-clip-on-earphones-tipped-with-11mm-drivers-lhdc-5-0-and-hi-res-audio/">decent hardware</a> behind the audio side. The earbuds use an 11mm driver with a microcrystalline metal-coated diaphragm and support LHDC 5.0 alongside Hi-Res audio certification. For calls, Xiaomi says it is using a three-microphone setup combined with a VPU sensor and AI-based noise reduction.</p>

<p>Because open-ear earbuds naturally leak more sound than sealed in-ear designs, Xiaomi is also implementing reverse sound wave technology to reduce audio leakage, which has become a major focus in this category lately.</p>

<p>The company previewed the earphones during a livestream earlier this month, showing off black, white, and gold color variants, with a fourth version still being kept hidden for now.</p>

<p>They are scheduled to launch officially on May 21 alongside several other Xiaomi products, including the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/19/xiaomi-17-max-lasts-more-than-twice-as-long-as-the-iphone-17-pro-max/">Xiaomi 17 Max</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/15/xiaomi-smart-band-10-pro-brings-apple-ecosystem-support-with-iphone-control-and-health-sync/">Band 10 Pro</a>.</p>

<p>Open-ear earbuds have been growing quickly over the past couple of years as more users look for alternatives that feel lighter and allow better awareness of surroundings during workouts, commuting, or office use.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-YU7-GT-Launch.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi YU7 GT Launch" class="wp-image-738624" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-YU7-GT-Launch.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-YU7-GT-Launch-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-YU7-GT-Launch-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-YU7-GT-Launch-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-YU7-GT-Launch-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The numbers are impressive, too. The YU7 GT reportedly offers up to 1003 horsepower, a top speed of 300km/h, and a CLTC-rated electric driving range of up to 705 kilometers. </p>

<h2><strong>Here’s what else is coming</strong></h2>

<p>Then there is the Xiaomi 17 Max, a large-screen smartphone featuring a 6.9-inch display with ultra-thin bezels and a flat panel design. Xiaomi says the device uses a four-curved wraparound frame with heavily rounded corners. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-17-Max-1-1024x640.png?x44794" alt="Xiaomi 17 Max" class="wp-image-738599" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-17-Max-1-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-17-Max-1-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-17-Max-1-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-17-Max-1-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-17-Max-1-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-17-Max-1-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-17-Max-1.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The 17 Max will be home to Xiaomi’s first Leica-branded 200-megapixel main camera. The phone is also expected to carry an 8000mAh battery.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the audio side, Xiaomi is announcing its first clip-on earbuds. They have an open-ear design and weigh just 5.5 grams per earbud. The company says the earbuds use memory titanium wire and an 11mm driver paired with a microcrystalline metal-coated diaphragm. Xiaomi is also advertising support for LHDC 5.0 audio and Hi-Res Gold certification.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dgn51jdj20u00u0400-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>And for the fitness enthusiasts, we have the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro. It will arrive with a thin 9.7mm body and a lightweight aluminum alloy build that weighs 21.6 grams. </p>

<p>Xiaomi says the fitness band supports advanced sports tracking and health management features while delivering up to 21 days of battery life. It also has <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/15/xiaomi-smart-band-10-pro-brings-apple-ecosystem-support-with-iphone-control-and-health-sync/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">deeper integration with the Apple ecosystem</a>, with support for real-time syncing of notifications for calls and text messages with an iPhone. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Xiaomi-Smart-Band-10-Pro-Apple-Ecosystem-Support.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>The Band 10 Pro will launch in black, silver, pink, and possibly white, orange, and a ceramic variant.</p>

The company has now officially shared early details ahead of the launch later this month, and the focus seems to be on comfort, lightweight design, and smart features tied into Xiaomi’s ecosystem.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dhgzaznj20u00u0gmm-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-738492" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dhgzaznj20u00u0gmm-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dhgzaznj20u00u0gmm-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dhgzaznj20u00u0gmm-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dhgzaznj20u00u0gmm-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dhgzaznj20u00u0gmm-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dhgzaznj20u00u0gmm-1-746x420.jpg 746w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/70cf98bcly1id5dhgzaznj20u00u0gmm-1.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Each side weighs around 5.5 grams, which should make them fairly easy to wear for longer periods without the usual pressure inside the ear canal. Xiaomi says the structure uses memory titanium wire with a biomimetic curved shape to help keep the fit secure while staying comfortable.</p>

<p>Design is clearly a big part of the pitch here. The earbuds feature a glossy finish with what Xiaomi describes as a transparent sound-emitting sphere design and metallic textures around the outer shell. So far, the company has <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/14/xiaomis-first-clip-on-earphones-teased-with-transparent-design-element-glossy-finish/">shown Satin Gold</a> and Pearl White color options.</p>

<p>On the audio side, Xiaomi is using an 11mm driver with a metal-coated diaphragm. The earbuds also support LHDC 5.0 and Hi-Res audio certification, which should help with higher-quality wireless playback on supported devices.</p>

<p>Call quality seems to be another area Xiaomi is pushing. The earbuds include a three-microphone setup along with a VPU sensor and AI-based noise reduction. There is also a &#8220;reverse sound wave technology&#8221; meant to reduce audio leakage, which is usually one of the bigger issues with open-ear designs.</p>

<p>Xiaomi is also adding several AI-focused features, including real-time translation across 21 languages, voice recording, and automatic summaries. Some of those features will likely depend heavily on Xiaomi’s own ecosystem and Xiao AI support.</p>

<p>The company has not confirmed battery life or pricing yet, but the launch is expected sometime later this month. There is also a good chance these earbuds arrive alongside other Xiaomi products, including the Mi Band 10 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Max.</p>
