Xiaomi has just announced a new version of the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500 in its home market in China. The company has launched this new security camera on its Xiaomi Youpin platform for crowdfunding, which is set to kick off soon. So here’s everything you need to know.

Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500

The Chinese tech giant recently announced the Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Pro in Europe, a smart home product for security. The brand first announced the Outdoor Camera CW500 in China back in February 2024. Now, the dual-camera version of this device has been released. Its twin image sensors are aligned at different angles, which basically expands the total field of view of the security camera. The new product consists of a fixed and mobile gimbal dual lens configuration. This is also compatible with the Xiaomi HyperOS and can be controlled via the MIJIA app.

The two cameras on the CW500 model are 4 megapixel sensors that have an f/1.6 aperture and can record at 2.5K resolution for improved quality. Each of these cameras also features two white lamps and two infrared night vision sensors. The company’s smart security camera can even detect and recognize human figures at night, witt the fill lights automatically turning on to take a colorful picture. Since it’s built for outdoor use, it has an IP66 water and dust resistance rating as well.

The MIJIA app can share alarms and alerts with the users. These cameras can even record a video and send it to you via a 2.4GHz+5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi 6 connection. You can even connect the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500 to your Xiaomi tablets, TVs, and smartphones to get a remote view. The crowdfunding of the device will be live between March 20 and March 27 for a price tag of 329 Yuan (roughly 46 US Dollars).

As per official notes, the new MIJIA Smart Alarm Lamp arrives with a new wake up light system that uses a full spectrum lamp beads to offer a Sun like experience. To put things simply, it houses 198 array LED lights that have 15 kinds of white noise and 10 kinds of dynamic scene settings. In other words, it can basically simulate a sunrise and sunset cycle all throughout the day, essentially waking up and going down with the sun thanks to its synchronization.

During sunset, the product can dynamically simulate the sunset by gradually turning off the lights on the lamp and creating white noise for an immersive sleep experience. On the other hand, during sunrise, the MIJIA Smart Alarm Lamp activates around 30 minutes prior to the alarm to simulate a sunrise by gradually turning the lights on. The new MIJIA Smart Dehumidifier is the latest smart home appliance from the company. It offers up to 8 hours of continuous dehumidification and supports running without the need for water. The new dehumidifier arrives with a sizeable 22 liter capacity, which allows it to run for multiple hours at a stretch. During its operations it can automatically stop running when it detects that its tank is full to prevent overflow and leakage. Furthermore, it can directly be connected to an external drainage pipe that will allow it directly discharge the dehumidification waste water, without having to worry about the water being full and having shut the machine down to empty its waste water manually.

Similar to the Elite Mouse, The Miyu Elite Keyboard also supports 2.4 GHz wireless connection and Bluetooth technology as well. The design features electroplated high gloss function keys and a metal base plate. 85 keys can be found on the keyboard and they follow a scissor mechanism. It also features a built in lihtium battery which can be charged via a USB Type C port. According to official notes, the keyboard can last up to 2 weeks in a single full charge.

Notably, one of the highlighting features regarding the Miyu Elite Keyboard is its voice command support. A voice key has been added to the right of the space bar in the keyboard and enables the built in HKUST Xunfei Voice Pack. This allows one to long press the voice key to input text and voicing out the words. Double clicking on the same key is a quick weather update and officials say the speech recognition speeds reach up to 180 words per minute, with a response time less than 200ms.

Price and Availability

The price of both the Miyu Elite Mouse and Elite Keyboard is 199 Yuan, which roughly translates to about 28 US Dollars. However, both individual products can be purchased together as well for a special price of 378 Yuan (or roughly 53 US Dollars). Xiaomi has just started crowdfunding a new product earlier today (5th February 2020). It is the Smartknow automatic toothpaste dispenser, which is also capable of uses UV to disinfect the toothbrush when releasing toothpaste.

The Smartknow automatic toothpaste dispenser uses infrared sensors to detect the proximity of a toothbrush. When detecting one, it squeezes out a certain amount of toothpaste. While this is happening, the gadget uses UV to disinfect the head of the toothbrush which is placed in the dispenser’s cavity in the middle.

According to official notes, the Smartknow product uses an integrated tube design which allows the toothpaste to not make contact with air, helping in avoiding exposure to pollutants in the atmosphere. Additionally, the dispenser also arrives with a smart toothbrush cup as well.

According to official notes, the new Xiaomi purifier uses high energy ion purification technology. This means that water is broken down into hydroxide ions and hydrogen ions under the action of an ion generator. Through this, the device can reorganize the bacterial walls to make it easier to break them down; and once treated, the bacteria is killed by an oxidation reaction after the hydroxide ion combines with chlorine in the water to form hypochlorous acid.

In simpler terms, the fruits and vegetable purifier uses a simple chemical process that weakens and kills any harmful substance on the surface of consumer’s groceries which doesn’t hard the food. Haylou LS01 Design and Features

The Haylou LS01 smartwatch has a square watch face that accommodates a 1.3 inch coloured LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. The smartwatch measures 40.9 x 35.7 x 11.6 mm and it weighs 34 grams. The Haylou LS01 ships with a 26.3 mm wide silicone strap which can be easily swapped and with straps that can be bought separately.

The Haylou LS01 is powered by a 210 mAh battery which is claimed to provide a battery backup of 14 days which will vary based upon usage. The smartwatch is compatible with devices running both Android and iOS. However, the supported versions of the two OS’ include Android 4.4, iOS 8 or higher.

Xiaomi has announced the entry of new product into its crowdfunding program. The product is dubbed Uleemark Dupont jacket and it comes with a price tag of 459 yuan ($66). Perhaps the main selling point of the jacket is the fact that you don’t need to wash it, ever. 

Uleemark’s new jacket uses DuPont paper which is a new patented material developed by DuPont technologies. The material isn’t exactly paper despite it being called DuPont paper. Instead, it is an environmentally friendly non-woven fabric. The fabric is made by flashing technology and it combines the advantages of paper film and fibre. The fabric is waterproof, lightweight, and also won’t get stained. It also has several features that make it suitable for use in high-tech fields such as industrial protective clothing, medical aseptic packaging, and aerospace.

The Uleemark DuPont jacket can withstand harsh environments and extreme temperatures ranging from -73 ° C to 100 ° C.  Even when used in extremely cold conditions, Uleemark says the fabric is able to maintain an excellent thermal temperature. The jacket is filled with high-quality 90% white goose feather, fully stacked making it large and full. Xiaomi has unveiled a new product under the Youpin crowdfunding platform. The product is dubbed Viomi Smart Gas Water Heater 1A and is manufactured by Viomi Electrical Technology Co. Ltd, one of Xiaomi’s ecological chain company. The company has a long chain of Xiaomi-branded products to its credit such as Xiaomi Water Purifier, MIJIA Thermoelectric Kettle and others. Apart from that, Viomi also has a host of other products that are not Xiaomi branded but of exceptional quality. Like the Smart water Heater which was launched a couple of months back. The Smart Gas Water Heater is the latest addition and as the name implies, the gadget gets its energy supply from gas.

The Viomi Smart Gas Water Heater 1A has a main chamber with a gas burner which converts the chemical energy provided by the gas to heat and there are built-in energy-saving features. The gadget has a water intake pipe which is connected to the home’s water supply. There is also a hot water outlet as well as a gas intake valve in the middle. All three outlets are located on the bottom aspect. Cold water flows into the water heater when a hot water tap is opened inside your home. The water flow is detected by a sensor that ignites the gas burner, to heat the water in the heat exchanger. The water typically follows a serpentine pattern through the heat exchanger, absorbing as much heat as possible. The gas valve automatically adjusts to the rate of water flow in order to conserve energy.

Xiaomi has announced yet another nice product under the MIJIA crowdfunding platform. The product is the Sherlock M1 Smart Lock and it is the 125th crowdfunding product Xiaomi is announcing this year. The smart lock comes with a decent price tag of 399 Yuan (~$60).

The Sherlock M1 Smart Lock comes as a smart sticker attached to the main lock and which can be controlled using an app. All that needs to be done is to affix the smart lock to the inside of the general anti-theft lock M1 and you can control the door through the Mi home app. There will be no need to make any changes to the anti-theft lock. After installing the gadget on the lock, the app can then be used to control the lock and this wouldn’t stop it from opening manually from the outside with a physical key. But there is an anti-lock mode where the door can only b unlocked using the app.

The gadget allows the homeowner to set different virtual keys which can then be distributed to different members of the home. Xiaomi has continued with its continuous releases under the MIJIA brand as it prepares to announce the 90th and 91st crowdfunding product on June 15. This is coming barely two days after the company announced its 89th product which turned out to be a multi-functional portable blanket.

Th 90th Crowdfunding product looks more or less like a shelf but what caught our attention the more is what the 91st product will likely be. The teaser, as usual, did not state what product we should be expecting but there are some vital clues pointing in the direction of the likely product. The poster contains the sketch of a box with a glass door and what looks like ice blocks inside. Accompanying the sketch is a couple of texts which mentioned Venetian explorer Marco Polo who exposed the existence of China to Europe during his travels. Marco Polo was said to have documented that he witnessed that 13th century  China had ice-cream.

Xiaomi has got a new smartwatch product under its wing, specifically under the MIJIA platform. When the launch was being teased, some had thought it was the Mi Band 3 but it wasn’t. Xiaomi has once again teased the launch of its 74th MIJIA Smart home product. The company released a poster this morning on the MIJIA Smart home Weibo page which indicates that the product would launch on April 6 by 10 AM.

The poster that was teased contains the photo of some bamboo stems and leaves and the post had some keywords such as “dampness” and “breathable”. This is perhaps, an indication that the product is one which improves the air we breathe by reducing dampness and moistures from the air. This points at the likelihood of a Dehumidifier.

A dehumidifier is generally a household appliance which reduces the level of humidity in the air, usually for health or comfort reasons, or to eliminate musty odour. There are large dehumidifiers used in commercial buildings such as indoor ice rinks to control the humidity level but this one is expected to be a small portable one for use in the home. The Xiaomi MIJIA brand is coasting at a rapid rate with an almost daily release of one product and in some cases two. While it launched its 72nd product, an air mask for kids today, Xiaomi also teases the launch of another product via the crowdfunding platform. The teased launch event is for the launch of the MIJIA brand’s 73rd product.

The new product is scheduled to be announced on March 30 at 10 AM and from the teaser, it is likely a heart rate or blood pressure monitor. In other words, we may just be looking at another fitness product but one specifically for monitoring the heart rate or blood pressure. Recall that the Xiaomi Mi Band and Mi Band 2 came with heart rate monitoring function among other but this isn’t likely another smart band. The details of the product are still not known at this moment but we look forward to its launch to know more.

Xiaomi‘s fortunes have seen a rough tumble recently with the company failing to make the cut into the top three Chinese brands in recent years. Since the establishment of the innovative tech company in 2010, the Chinese brand has gone on to create astonishing records, garnering awards along the way. But now, the picture being painted is that of a struggling company.

Well, if you think Xiaomi is struggling financially,  just like fellow Chinese tech giant LeEco who is neck deep in troubled waters, you may need to think again. In addition to the smartphone division which is its main preoccupation, Xiaomi also ventures into other lucrative businesses especially smart gadgets. The company has an ecological chain or Mi ecosystem where it partners with notable manufacturers in China who rides on Xiaomi’s wave of popularity, and financial prowess to get innovative gadgets out in the market. Xiaomi provides the finance for research and also ensures the products meet its standard in design and quality.

Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun recently disclosed the sales and revenue data from the sub-brand for 2016 and the figures were astonishing. According to records made available, Xiaomi has so far invested in 77 ecological chain companies, of which 30 released products during this period. This is aside Xiaomi’s core products like smartphones, MIUI software and others which form the core of the company. It was revealed that expected revenue from the Xiaomi smart products exceeded 15 billion Yuan in 2016.

A recent document revealed 28 of the companies which are under the Mijia partnership as well as their products and even the date of entry. The list contains names of tech companies based in Beijing and other Chinese cities, some formed as far back as 2013 while others are new entrants coming in last year, such as Viomi with its Filter Kettle L1 released last year. Huami is one brand that had a successful run under the Mijia platform, releasing the Mi Band and Band 2 before the company went solo with its own Amazfit brand. The Mijia products range from smart home gadgets like the robot vacuum cleaner, rice cooker to smartphone accessories and even non-connected products like the Mi Pen launched last year and many others. Even some of the products listed are yet to be launched.

Xiaomi has added another product to its crowdfunding platform’s kitty and just as we deduced from the earlier teaser, the gadget is a Sunglasses which carries the Turok Steinhardt branding. The Xiaomi Turok Steinhardt sunglasses is a polarized sunglasses which comes with a no border design and filters ultraviolet light completely. The glasses weighs only 18g.

The Turok Steinhardt sunglasses was produced using nylon polarizing material similar to the one used on space masks worn by astronauts such that its isolates UV rays and other harmful rays in the universe from hitting our eyes. It also removes glares, scattered lights, reduces fatigue and gives a clearer vision.

The Nylon polarization material it uses is said to be one of the lightweight lens materials around with a density of around 1.02g and an excellent ant-impact property. The material does not break or fragment easily under impact to a reasonable degree but that will depend on the intensity of the impact. It also comes with a stylish frame design.

The Turok Steinhardt sunglasses is open for funding via Mi home and comes with a price of just 199 Yuan ($29). The frame is available in gun color while the lens come in gray, gold and blue color options.

Xiaomi has teased the launch of its 62nd crowdfunded product and the product is likely a blue eye protective glasses. This launch is coming on the heels of the recent launch of the Xiaomi Smart Ukelele and children smart wristwatch.

Xiaomi first teased the launch yesterday, the post teasing the launch talked about the damage UV rays does to the eyes and further hinted that the product comes with harmful ray filters. The date for the launch is set for February 16 at 10am via Xiaomi mall.

Further teasers by Xiaomi show the expected eye protective glasses was produced using military grade materials and that ensures the device won’t break even under strong impact. The full details of the upcoming product would be unleashed tomorrow, so we’ll wait for that.

Xiaomi crowdfunding is all set to unveil its 56th product tomorrow and it is likely going to be a sleeping mattress. Just fresh out of the launch of the 69 Yuan-Lunar Smart Sleep sensor, this latest product apparently isn’t the first mattress product from Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform but perhaps it offers much more than the previous one.

According to the teased posters, the bed product will be launched on December 6 (tomorrow) by 10.00am. The product may not necessarily be as Smart bed that makes you fall asleep or monitor your sleeping pattern but it is touted to offer healthy sleep.

In addition the mattress seems to be made from a material which doesn’t harbor bugs and is soft, lightweight, as well as comfortable. Another teased point is that the mattress will come in very cheap. Xiaomi‘s latest crowdfunding product is a new 52-chip fresh air mask which was launched today in China. Adopting the moniker Cloth Pear Fresh air mask, the product as the name implies, is a set of masks with a streamlined compact layout, with an overall weight of 50.5g which makes it very light and portable.

The Cloth Pear fresh air mask uses a three-dimensional design, joined by hand-sewing with high-grade textile. There is a filter made of delicate materials which are able to achieve  PM 2.5 filtration efficiency up to 99%. The housing of the filter is made using high-quality polyester fabric.

The new air mask system comes with double detachable design, custom-built ultra-thin fan, with 3-level speed, a power-on button, charging support, individual air volume memory, knob type filter cartridge which makes the air filter easy to update.

Xiaomi has announced a new product under its crowdfunding platform and it is a tea maker or brewer. The product is called Kiss kiss fish CC Cup and it starts at 179 Yuan ($26) via crowdfunding on Mi home.

The latest product is a 535ml large capacity stainless steel vacuum flask which comes with temperature display alongside other cool smaller accessories. The flask comes weighing just 320g and can be used to brew tea. The flask seems to have been designed to retain both hot and cold temperatures.

The flask is made of high-quality food grade 304 stainless steel and  comes in mint green, elegant gray, beige and cherry powder colors.

In terms of performance, the CC + flask can retain temperatures above 62 degrees centigrade for up to 7 hours or more and low temperatures below 10 degrees centigrade for up to 6 hours or even more. Xiaomi has got a new product under its crowdfunding platform and it is an ultra-light Jacket called 90 Minutes. The jacket is manufactured by popular wearable brand 90 Points, and it is designed for both men and women, coming in at just 229 Yuan ($35) via the Mi crowdfunding platform.

The 3D cut 90 minutes jacket comes with a windproof and water repellent outer coating and contains paddings which keep the temperature warm at all time. Aside that, the jacket is light and easy to store and can come in handy when traveling, commuting in cold conditions, going hiking or anywhere else in the outdoors.

The jacket was manufactured with quality materials and standards, ensuring it meets consumers requirements. And unlike other winter jackets, this one won’t feel puffed up or bloated on your body and yet brings long-lasting warmth experience. The outer coating is made from DuPont Teflon fabric, with Teflon EcoElite new fabric processing.
