Summer is fast approaching and the need to give our skin a treat under the sun. Xiaomi has just announced a new hair removal device under the crowdfunding platform. The device is dubbed Cosbeauty IPL Photon Hair Removal device priced at 1,499 yuan ($224). The device is useful for male and female folks but the females would find it more useful. The gadget will enable users to enjoy silky skin for just 30 minutes.

The Cosbeauty IPL Photon Hair Removal device adopts IPL strong pulsed light hair removal technology. It uses precise filtering technology to select specific IPL light that is only absorbed by melanin. The penetrating pores are selectively absorbed by melanin, thereby accumulating energy to disintegrate melanin and inhibit hair growth. The device comes with skin colour recognition so that the light doesn’t act on the skin instead of the hair follicle alone.

The gadget comes with three custom lamp holders which can be changed, depending on where the device is to be used. There is a body care head (for large body parts such as underarms, arms, legs, etc.), face care head (for small areas such as cheeks, lip lines, etc.), bikini care head (for use on sensitive parts such as bikini line). According to the details, when it is used between 1-4 times, the hairs around the area it was used will start to fall off naturally. When it is used 5-7 times to delay the growth of new hair. Finally, after used up to 8 times, the skin tone is brightened.
