One of the most popular names in the game is <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/LineageOS">LineageOS</a>, mainly because of its stability and extensive device support. The custom ROM hit version 18.1 (based on Android 11) last year with support for over 60 devices and has been expanding its roster ever since.</p>
<p>The latest additions to the officially supported LineageOS 18.1 devices list include the following, and you can download their respective latest builds by clicking on their codenames (via <a href="https://www.androidpolice.com/lineageos-181-comes-to-the-oneplus-9-and-a-handful-of-xiaomi-phones/">Android Police</a>).</p>
<ul>
<li>OnePlus 9 (<a href="https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/lemonade/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">lemonade</a>)</li>
<li>Mi 10T Lite/Mi 10i/Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G (<a href="https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/gauguin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">gauguin</a>)</li>
<li>Mi 10 Lite 5G (<a href="https://download.lineageos.org/monet" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">monet</a>)</li>
<li>Asus ZenFone Max M1 (<a href="https://download.lineageos.org/X00P" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">X00P</a>)</li>
</ul>
<p>While the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-9/">OnePlus 9</a> has already received OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12, the update hasn&#8217;t gone down well with everyone since it&#8217;s based on ColorOS. LineageOS 18.1 will thus serve as a great replacement.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-314140 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/LineageOS-Dark-Logo-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/LineageOS-Dark-Logo-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/LineageOS-Dark-Logo-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/LineageOS-Dark-Logo-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/LineageOS-Dark-Logo-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/LineageOS-Dark-Logo-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/LineageOS-Dark-Logo-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/LineageOS-Dark-Logo.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>Both <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10t-lite-5g/">Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10-lite-5g/">Mi 10 Lite 5G</a> currently run Android 11 layered with MIUI atop. The heavily-skinned software has always been a hit or miss with users, and those looking for something lighter would love LineageOS 18.1.</p>
<p>The Asus ZenFone Max M1 no longer receives updates and is still stuck on Android 9 following a failed Android 10 beta program. It already has extensive custom ROM developer support and it&#8217;s great to see another gem added to its roster.</p>
<p>Additionally, Asus ROG Phone 2 and ZenFone 6 have been dropped from LineageOS support, meaning the duo will no longer be receiving new official builds.</p>

For reference, the Mi 10 Lite 5G carries a price tag of €349 in Europe which means the price in Japan is slightly lower.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-250903" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="900" height="666" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds-300x222.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds-768x568.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds-485x360.jpg 485w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds-696x515.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Xiaomi-Redmi-AirDots-Wireless-Earbuds-568x420.jpg 568w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></a></p>

The display houses a waterdrop notch design which houses the selfie camera and also there is an under-screen fingerprint sensor onboard.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Mi-True-Wireless-Earphones-2-Basic-d.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-332266" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Mi-True-Wireless-Earphones-2-Basic-d.jpg?x10805" alt="Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic" width="680" height="340" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Mi-True-Wireless-Earphones-2-Basic-d.jpg 680w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Mi-True-Wireless-Earphones-2-Basic-d-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /></a></p>

For photography, the Mi 10 Lite 5G packs a quad-camera setup with a 48MP AI sensor in the lead. The waterdrop notch holds a 16MP selfie shooter. The main camera comes with several features found on the flagship Mi 10 series such as Pro Mode, Night mode 2.0, ShootStead and several others.</p>

Unfortunately, it comes without Google services, but it carries a very interesting price tag if we consider that it is a 5G-enabled phone. That is why we decided to compare it immediately to the other 5G mid-rangers from the concurrence. We brought two other &#8220;Lite&#8221; variants with 5G support to this specs comparison: the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10-lite-5g">Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G</a> and the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/oppo-find-x2-lite">Oppo Find X2 Lite</a> which recently debuted in the European market.</p>

<h2>Design</h2>
<p>This design comparison is like a double-sided medal. You get a better front design on the Huawei P40 Lite 5G because it features a punch-hole display instead of a traditional waterdrop notch, but on the other hand, you get a more attractive rear design on the Oppo Find X2 Lite due to its smaller camera module. Overall, I would go for the Oppo Find X2 Lite because, besides offering a cleaner glass back, it is also more compact and thinner than its rivals. Do you agree with me or your choice would be different?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Display</h2>
<p>With the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and the Oppo Find X2 Lite you get an AMOLED display with more brilliant colors and deeper blacks, while the Huawei P40 Lite 5G has an IPS panel, but it is HDR-compliant. Each of these devices offers a great image quality despite they are not flagship smartphones, but the AMOLED panels with in-display fingerprint scanners found on Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite look more interesting. Note that Oppo Find X2 Lite has a smaller diagonal than Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite: 6.4 inches vs 6.57 inches.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Hardware/Software</h2>
<p>If we only talk about chipsets, you should not notice differences in performances with any of these handsets, even though the Huawei P40 Lite offers a different Kirin 820, while Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite pack the Snapdragon 765G mobile platform. In each case, you get a 5G integrated modem, but Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite offer a higher amount of RAM: up to 8 GB. Note that Oppo Find X2 Lite does not feature expandable storage, while Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Huawei P40 Lite do. That is why Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G wins the hardware comparison, at least in its higher-end variant. But we are only talking about marginal differences. All are based on Android 10, but Huawei P40 Lite 5G lacks Google services, replaced by Huawei Mobile Services.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Camera</h2>
<p>We had a very nice experience with Oppo&#8217;s camera phones, but the rear camera departments of these three handsets should offer similar performances. Huawei P40 Lite 5G has the main sensor with a higher resolution, while Oppo Find X2 Lite has a brighter focal aperture. Oppo Find X2 Lite wins the selfie comparison thanks to a 32 MP front snapper.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Battery</h2>
<p>Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite has a bigger 4160 mAh battery and it is likely the longest lasting phone of this trio on a single charge. Huawei P40 Lite 5G has the smallest battery, but it offers two interesting features: a faster 40W charging technology and reverse charging. So it will charge faster and it will be able to charge other devices just like a power bank.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Price</h2>
<p>Huawei P40 Lite 5G carries a €399/$432 price tag, while Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G costs €349/$378. You need €499/$540 to purchase the Oppo Find X2 Lite, but note that it is the price for the 8/128 GB configuration, while the price tags of its rivals are the ones for the 6/128 GB variant. At the end of the day, these three devices are very close, so whatever you choose, you will make a good choice. It is essentially a draw with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite offering a slightly bigger battery, Huawei P40 Lite 5G offering faster charging and reverse charging, and Oppo Find X2 Lite offering a compact and attractive design, as well as interesting cameras.</p>

When the Mi 10 flagship was released a few months back, there were uproars in some quarters due to the price tags that were far from being pocket friendly. The tech gain t responded during the launch of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/27/xiaomi-mi-10-mi-10-pro-hit-the-global-market-with-launch-in-europe/">Mi 10 series in Europe</a> with a premium mid-range <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/27/xiaomi-mi-10-lite-5g-announced-in-europe-with-a-snapdragon-765g-soc-and-e349-price-tag/">Mi 10 Lite 5G</a> having a Snapdragon 765G chipset onboard and affordable pricing. In China, the company launched the Mi 10 Youth Edition with the same specs as the Mi 10 Lite but with a telephoto camera capable of 50x zoom instead of a 2MP depth sensor on the Lite. Here, we take a look at the Mi 10 Youth unboxing images. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11.jpeg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-320595" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11.jpeg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G" width="640" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11.jpeg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11-630x420.jpeg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>The Mi 10 Youth is expected to launch as Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition in the global market. When that happens, the device will ship in a retail box with a blind box design. The retail box is randomly designed with different avatars which make it attractive. This perhaps because the device is targeted at the youths. Inside the retail box, you get the smartphone, a TPU case, a charging adapter and data cable, SIM tray ejector, and two cartoon stickers. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-3.jpeg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-320587" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-3.jpeg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G" width="640" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-3.jpeg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-3-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-3-630x420.jpeg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>The phone itself is an alluring beauty especially the rear design. At the front, it adopts a 6.57-inch waterdrop AMOLED display. At the back, there is a rectangular camera housing with chamfered edges which makes it look unique. The protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-10.jpeg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-320594" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-10.jpeg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G" width="640" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-10.jpeg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-10-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-10-630x420.jpeg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>The phone adopts a lightweight and compact build, having a thickness of 7.88mm and weighing just 192g. It packs a 4160mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging technology.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11.jpeg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-320595" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11.jpeg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G" width="640" height="427" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11.jpeg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/xiaomi-mi-10-youth-unboxing-11-630x420.jpeg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
