Still, a quicker-than-last-year rollout has helped compensate for that a bit, with Android 12 now reaching a few budget devices as well. But as Xiaomiui reports, the company may have got another screw-up in its hands.

1. MIUI 13 (based on Android 12) bricks phones, thats true lol (Xiaomiui team bricked Mi11,Mi11U,Mi11Lite5G etc. thx to MIUI13 update and we paid EDL Auths for unbricking)

2. MIUI India Stable corrupts persist partition, thats why camera dies.

(Mi 11 Ultra, dies from MIUI13) pic.twitter.com/fKGoo441OM

— xiaomiui | Xiaomi & MIUI News (@xiaomiui) March 13, 2022

Bricked devices as a result of new MIUI updates isn’t exactly something new for Xiaomi. Initial ‘stable beta’ Android 12 rollouts had late last year rendered some Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 units useless. As if that wasn’t enough, MIUI 13 now looks to be having a similar effect on not just the aforementioned devices but also the Mi 11 Lite 5G (via Notebookcheck).

So far, it appears that the issue is limited to pilot testers only. Xiaomi does notify beta testers of associated risks so it would be unfair to blow up at it. But Xiaomiui says that the Mi 11 Ultra had to actually be opened up for recovery from the bricked state, which is quite a mess.

Xiaomi is also yet to acknowledge the issue. In such a case, it is advisable for pilot testers to not flash the latest update on Mi 11 series devices and wait for the next one instead. Stable users are advised to not manually flash any experimental builds for the time being.

The technical cause is currently unknown but the problem does seem to strike upon installing the OTA through the Updater app.

The Honor 50 Pro is the most advanced one but, despite it is a Pro variant, it is not a flagship. As mentioned above it is an upper-midrange phone with 5G support, and that is exactly the reason why we decided to compare it to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G. While waiting for the global launch of the new premium phone, you can now discover the differences between Honor 50 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G.

Design

The design is one of the strongest points of the Honor 50 Pro. It is a very elegant and original phone. It is pretty thin and lightweight, and it comes with a great curved display at the sides and two round camera modules, as well as an amazing finish for the rear cover. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is one of the thinnest and most lightweight phones of 2021: it weighs less than 160 grams and it is just 6.8 mm thick! It is even more compact, but the Honor 50 Pro remains a more beautiful device due to its curved screen and great finish. The Honor 50 Pro wins the design comparison, but if you want a more compact device which fits better in a pocket, choose the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G.

Display

With Honor 50 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G, you can get two of the best displays you can find in the midrange segment. Both are able to show up to one billino colors, and currently it is almost impossible to find such a feature on midrange phones. Further, they are both OLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution. I personally prefer the Honor 50 Pro because it has a higher refresh rate (120 Hz) and an in-display fingerprint reader, as well as a wider diagonal. Unfortunately, despite having an OLED panel, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Specs & Software

The Snapdragon 780G mobile platform found on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G and the Snapdragon 778G found on the Honor 50 Pro are quite similar processors, but as you probably understood by reading the processor names, the Snapdragon 780G is slightly better. Further, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G has a faster UFS 2.2 internal storage. It runs MIUI 12 out of the box, while Honor 50 Pro runs Magic UI 4.2. In the global market, the Honor handset will come with Google Mobile Services since Honor is not a Huawei company anymore.

Camera

The rear camera of the Honor 50 Pro is way better than the one found of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G because it has a superior main sensor: we are talking about a 108 MP camera which is able to record 4K videos at 30 fps. Even the front camera department is a lot better of the Honor 50 Pro as it is one of the best selfie phones out there. It has a dual front camera with a 32 MP main sensor and a 12 MP ultrawide lens.

Battery

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G wins the battery life comparison simply because it has a bigger battery with a capacity of 4250 mAh. With the Honor mid-ranger you get a smaller unit despite the bigger dimensions, but it has one of the fastest charging technologies out there with a power of 100W (Mi 11 Lite has just 33W).

Price

You can currently find the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G for less than €350/$413 globally, while we still do not know the global price of the Honor 50 Pro as it is yet to be launched (it costs about €350 in China). Overall, the latest Honor premium phone offers more value due to its better cameras, faster charging, and amazing design, but Xiaomi Mi 11 LIte 5G has a bigger battery, a more compact body… and a micro SD slot.

Design

The OPPO K9 5G has a more compact design and this is an important added value for those who want a device that is easy to use with one hand and to keep in a pocket. But the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is thinner and lighter; further, it has a glass back. These things make the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G slightly more attractive, alongside the Gorilla Glass 6 protection and the IP53 certification which makes it splash resistant and dust resistant. That is why Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G wins the aesthetic comparison.

Display

On the paper, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G has a superior display. We are talking about an AMOLED panel that is able to show up to one billion colors and it also features the HDR10+ certification allowing for better image quality on streaming platforms. With the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G, you also get a higher brightness: it has a 500 nit typical brightness and a peak brightness up to 800 nits. Unfortunately, despite coming with an AMOLED panel, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G does not feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, while the OPPO K9 5G does.

Specs & Software

If you need the best hardware department, then you should go for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G without thinking twice. It has a more powerful Snapdragon 780G, while the OPPO K9 5G is fueled by the Snapdragon 768G which is actually an upgrade of the Snapdragon 765G. Further, with the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G you get faster UFS 2.2 native storage. Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G runs MIUI 12 based on Android 11, while OPPO K9 5G runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.

Camera

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G and the OPPO K9 5G are similar when it comes to the rear cameras. They both come with a 64 MP main camera, but the OPPO K9 5G has a brighter f/1.7 focal aperture which should allow shooting better photos in low light conditions. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G has a better macro camera with a 5 MP resolution. The ultrawide sensors are the same with an 8 MP resolution, but the OPPO K9 5G wins the selfie comparison with a way better 32 MP front camera.

Battery

The OPPO K9 5G has a slightly bigger battery with a capacity of 4300 mAh and it may offer a longer battery life not only due to the capacity but also because it has a smaller display. However, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G has a processor built with a 5 nm production process which has lower energy consumption, so the bigger capacity of the OPPO K9 5G does not necessarily mean it will always last more than the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G. But the real difference between these phones’ battery sides is the charging speed: the OPPO K9 5G features the SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging technology with 65W power, while the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G supports 33W fast charging. The OPPO K9 5G charges a lot faster.

Price

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G starts from about €289/$352 in China, while the OPPO K9 5G costs €260/$316 in its base variant. While the OPPO K9 5G offers faster charging speeds and a better front camera, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G has a superior hardware department and a better display. On the paper, we consider the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G a slightly superior phone, but it costs a bit more as well.

Design

These phones are built with premium materials, not the most premium ones, but they still have nice designs. They come with a glass back and the TCL 20 Pro 5G is my favorite one because it has a curved edge-to-edge display like flagships and non-protruding cameras. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is the thinnest and most lightweight device of the trio, while the OPPO Find X3 Lite is the most compact one. They all come with good designs including great attention to detail, so it is all about tastes.

Display

On the paper, the most advanced display seems to be the one found on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G. It shows up to one billion colors, it has the HDR10+ certification and a 90 Hz refresh rate. But the TCL 20 Pro might surprise you with its NXTVISION 2 technology: unfortunately, it does not provide a high refresh rate, but TCL is able to deliver a stunning image quality as one of the best TV manufacturers out there. The OPPO Find X3 Lite still has a very good display with its AMOLED panel and 90 Hz refresh rate.

Hardware/Software

The most powerful device of this comparison is the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G for a simple reason: it has a better chipset. It is the first phone in Europe powered by the Snapdragon 780G mobile platform, which is actually the best Qualcomm’s mid-range processor. The chip is paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Right after, we have the OPPO Find X3 Lite with a Snapdragon 765G, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 native storage. TCL 20 Pro 5G is still great with its Snapdragon 750G, but it has just 6 GB of RAM. Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G and TCL 20 Pro 5G feature expandable storage, while OPPO Find X3 Lite does not. All are based on Android 11.

Camera

If you need the best rear cameras, you should go for the TCL 20 Pro 5G. It is the only one to feature OIS for the main sensor and it even comes with a better 16 MP ultrawide camera. The second place goes to the OPPO Find X3 Lite packing a 64 MP quad-camera and a great 32 MP front snapper.

Battery

TCL 20 Pro 5G has a bigger 4500 mAh battery and it should provide a longer battery life. Further, it is the only one with wireless charging. However, the TCL 20 Pro 5G has slower charging speeds: if you need the fastest charging phone, you should go for the OPPO Find X3 Lite featuring 65W fast charging.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G vs TCL 20 Pro 5G vs OPPO Find X3 Lite: Price

TCL 20 Pro 5G is priced at €549/$660 in the European market, OPPO Find X3 Lite costs €499/$600, and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G carries a €449/$540 price tag. Overall, on the paper, the most advanced device is actually the TCL 20 Pro 5G with its bigger battery, faster charging, unique design, amazing cameras with OIS. But on the software side, Xiaomi and OPPO are better. With the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G you also get a stronger chipset and amazing display, while OPPO Find X3 Lite has inferior hardware but a faster charging technology and a better camera than Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G.

The latter is the first phone ever with the all-new Snapdragon 780G: the best Qualcomm’s offering for the mid-range segment. But the chipset is not everything on a phone and having such a great SoC does not necessarily make the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G the best midrange out there. For this comparison, we chose two of the best mid-rangers sold in the global market in order to establish if the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is able to compete for the title of best mid-ranger of 2021: POCO X3 Pro and OPPO Find X3 Lite. Let’s discover who is better on the paper through a specs comparison.

Design

The design of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is very attractive because it has one of the thinnest and most lightweight bodies in the whole smartphone market. The OPPO Find X3 Lite is another incredibly thin phone and it is even more compact than Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G, but the Xiaomi’s mid-ranger is thinner and lighter. However, I personally prefer the OPPO Find X3 Lite due to its premium materials. The POCO X3 Pro is bigger, uglier, and thicker than both its rivals, so it loses the design comparison.

Display

With the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, you get the most advanced display on paper. The AMOLED panel of this phone is able to show up to one billion colors, it supports the HDR10+ certification and it has a 90 Hz refresh rate. The OPPO Find X3 Lite comes right after with an AMOLED panel providing a very nice color reproduction, high brightness, and 90 Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, with the POCO X3 Pro, you get an inferior IPS display with less brilliant colors, but you have a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, an IPS panel like this can not compete with the AMOLED displays of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G and the OPPO Find X3 Lite.

Hardware/Software

The most powerful hardware setup belongs to the POCO X3 Pro which packs the high-end Snapdragon 860 processor paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage. However, the POCO X3 Pro is the only one of the trio to lack 5G connectivity. If you want the most powerful phone with 5G, then you should go for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G powered by the Snapdragon 780G paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage. It has less impressive performance than a flagship killer like the POCO X3 Pro, but at least you get 5G. All the phones are based on Android 11.

Camera

The best camera phone of this trio is the OPPO Find X3 Lite. On the rear side, it has a quad camera including a 64 MP main sensor with bright f/1.7 focal aperture, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a pair of 2 MP sensors for macros and depth. Even the front camera is better with its 32 MP resolution. The silver medal goes to Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G sporting a 64 MP triple camera with the best macro sensor, as well as a 20 MP front camera.

Battery

The POCO X3 Pro packs the biggest battery (the capacity is 5160 mAh) and it provides the longest battery life. But with the OPPO Find X3 Lite, you get a faster charging technology with 65W power and the support of reverse charging.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G vs Xiaomi POCO X3 Pro vs OPPO Find X3 Lite: Price

The price of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G for the global market is €369/$435, OPPO Find X3 Lite costs €499/$589, and POCO X3 Pro costs €279/$329. The winner of the comparison for most of the users should be Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite due to its impressive display, good value for money, great chipset. But if the price of the OPPO Find X3 Lite drops, it may represent a better choice thanks to its faster charging technology, better cameras. Despite its huge battery and amazing hardware, the POCO X3 Pro loses due to the lack of an AMOLED display and a 5G modem. But its price is a lot more affordable.

A Xiaomi smartphone with model number M2101K9C believed to be the Mi 11 Lite 5G had appeared on TENAA a few days ago. It revealed a few specs of the device but we didn’t see the images back then. Now, they are life and it looks similar to the leaked renders.

Although the color listed on TENAA has a bit of gradient hue to it, the device is expected to launch in three other colors- Green, Yellow, and Black according to leaker Sudhanshu. Other than this, the images are the same and they have the popular camera layout of the Mi 11.

On the rear, we have Xiaomi and 5G logo confirming that it’s indeed the 5G variant. For the unaware, Xiaomi is expected to bring a 4G variant of the Mi 11 Lite to certain markets but both the variants are likely to share a majority of the specs like the really slim form factor of 6.81mm thickness.

Speaking of which, the Mi 11 Lite 5G measures at 160.53 x 75.72 x 6.81mm and has a 6.55-inch display that according to leaks would be a 10-bit AMOLED display. The display is also said to have an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

As for specs, the device said to come with an unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G SoC, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 4,250mAh battery with 33W charging, and MIUI 12 based on Android 11.

If the device were indeed to share specs from the 4G sibling, then it would have a triple-cameras on the back with a 64MP main lens, 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP Telemacro lens. Additionally, the device could also have a Dual SIM support, and a MicroSD card slot, miss out on the 3.5mm jack.

Finally, the device could retail for starting price of €408.18 in Europe but pricing for China isn’t out yet. Let’s wait for more info in the coming days.

Courtesy of the dealntech report, a Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G listing appears on a retailer listing. As per the listing, the device will have a Truffle Black color and 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant. The price of this variant is listed as €408.18.

We aren’t sure if this would be the final price but it’s somewhat comparable to the predecessor’s €349 launch price. Besides, Tipster Abhishek Yadav has said in his tweet that the upcoming POCO X3 Pro would retail for around €269.

According to him, this variant of the POCO X3 Pro would have 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Earlier, a leak by Sudhanshu revealed the color and storage variants of the POCO X3 Pro who also said that the device would debut for €250.

Either way, it makes sense for POCO to bring it at a price less than Mi 11 Lite 5G. Although both devices are aimed at different segments, the latter has 5G that’s gaining traction in Europe lately. And if the leaks are true, POCO X3 Pro would be a 4G flagship.

Speaking of which, the POCO X3 Pro is rumored to feature a 120Hz AMOLED FHD+ display panel, yet-to-launch Snapdragon 860 chipset, and a 5,200mAh battery. The Mi 11 Lite 5G, on the other hand, will likely have a new Snapdragon 775G SoC, 64MP camera, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, and MIUI 12 operating system.

POCO has teased the launch date of the POCO X3 Pro in countries like India while Xiaomi is yet to reveal something on the Mi 11 Lite.

The BIS certification revealed that the model number of its Indian variant is M2101K9AI. Last month, the M2101K9G phone was approved by the IMDA and FCC authorities. It is speculated that the M2101K9G handset could be the 5G version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite. Today, reliable tipster Mukul Sharma spotted the Google Play Console listing of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G. The listing has revealed the key specifications of the device.

Past reports have claimed that the MI 11 Lite is codenamed as ‘Renoir.’ The same codename can be seen in its Google Play Console listing. The listing reveal that the smartphone’s display offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density 440ppi. It has 8 GB of RAM and it runs on Android 11 OS.

The listing further states that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is powered by a Qualcomm chipset. The specifications of the processor and the sm7250 model number suggest that it is fueled by the Snapdragon 765G chipset. This contradicts recent reports that claimed that the Mi 11 Lite 5G will feature a new Snapdragon 7-series chipset.

The FCC certification of the Mi 11 Lite 5G had revealed that it will be arriving in three variants such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It further revealed that the device has support for 5G, Wi-Fi 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC.

Rumors suggest that it could be equipped with other specs such as a 4,150mAh battery, 33W fast charging, a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a 64-megapixel triple camera system. Its 4G model could be powered by the Snapdragon 732G SoC.

Now, the device has also been spotted on FCC revealing more Specs and Features.

According to the FCC listing, a Xiaomi device with M2101K9G appears on the FCC database. A similar model number M2101K9AG will debut as the 4G LTE version of the Mi 11 Lite courtesy of several certifications like FCC, NBTC, and more.

Anyway, the listing with Model number (M2101K9G) reveals that the device will likely come in 6GB +128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB storage variants. Along with this, we can also expect the device to feature a 4,150mAh battery with 33W fast charging, run MIUI 12 out of the box.

For connectivity, the device will support 5G NR, NFC, 4G LTE with CA(Carrier Aggregation), Wi-Fi 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS. While the listing doesn’t give any differences about the chipsets, rumors are rife that Mi 11 Lite 5G would darn an unannounced Snapdragon SD7350 chipset(could be 775).

Other expected features include a Triple-camera setup with a 64MP main lens, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP macro sensor. The 4G variants, on the other hand, could feature a different setup and boast a Snapdragon 720G chipset.

Further, the Mi 11 Lite will likely sport an LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate but let’s wait for the official confirmation. Although it did not launch alongside the Mi 11 Globally as expected, the FCC listings hint that the formal launch of Mi 11 Lite isn’t far away now.
