In July, Xiaomi introduced its CC9 series of smartphones such as Mi CC9e, Mi CC9 and Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition. Fresh information shared by a tipster from China claims that the company is working may announce a new CC9 phone on Oct. 24. The handset could be dubbed as Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro and it is expected to come equipped with a 108-megapixel camera.

The tipster has further added that the alleged Mi CC9 Pro could be fueled by Snapdragon 730G mobile platform. There is no other information available on the specifications of the Mi CC9 Pro.

Being a Pro version of the Mi CC9, the handset may sport an identical design. Also, the smartphone may borrow many of its specs from the Mi CC9. Hence, it is likely to arrive with a waterdrop notch display couple with in-screen fingerprint reader. Probably, it could be running on the latest MIUI 11 based Android 9 Pie OS. Since the rumored Mi CC9 Pro smartphone is expected to debut on Oct. 24, more information on it is expected to surface in the coming days.

The 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage is now priced at 1,699 Yuan (~$239) whereas the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant costs 1,899 Yuan (~$265) after the discount. The Mi CC9 smartphone is rebranded as Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite in markets out of China like Spain.

Camera

Xiaomi Mi CC9e is again the winner of the comparison if we talk about camera departments. Both its rear and front cameras are superior. The Xiaomi Mi CC9e boasts a better 48 MP main sensor for the rear department, an ultrawide lens, and a depth sensor, as well as an awesome 32 MP selfie camera with advanced AI algorithms. Realme 3i and Vivo Y15 have sufficient 13 MP sensors and the former even lacks the ultrawide lens. Between these two handsets, I prefer the Vivo Y15 due to its ultrawide sensor and a better front camera.

Battery

Vivo Y15 is the clear winner of the battery life comparison because it is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery. However, it lacks a fast charging technology so it will take a lot to fully charge it. Realme 3i and Xiaomi Mi CC9e will most likely have a similar battery life: even though the former has a bigger battery, the Mi CC9e has a smaller and more efficient display, so differences should be marginal.

Price

Realme 3i starts from just €117/$130, Vivo Y15 costs €180/$200 in its base version and Xiaomi Mi CC9e carries a €170/$190 price tag. Coming to the conclusions, Xiaomi Mi CC9e is undoubtedly a better deal due to its AMOLED display with UD fingerprint scanner, better hardware, amazing build quality, and higher-end cameras.

Xiaomi has recently launched the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e smartphones in China. The model number of the Mi CC9e smartphone is M1906F9SC. A variant of the smartphone with model number M1906F9SH has received approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S. The images of the rear side of the phone that have appeared in the FCC documents confirm that it is an Android One phone with triple rear cameras. Hence, it appears the Mi CC9e smartphone could be releasing outside of China as Xiaomi Mi A3 Android One smartphone.

The M1906F9SH Xiaomi phone that has been certified by FCC has also received approval from Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in the recent past. The smartphone has also been approved by Singapore’s IMDA authority. The images of the phone that have surfaced in FCC documents reveal that the smartphone measures 153 x 71mm. The smartphone measures 162mm diagonally. The dimensions of the M1906F9SH is exactly same as the Mi CC9e phone. Hence, the purported Mi A3 will be equipped with a 6.01-inch display with waterdrop notch like the Mi CC9e.

The images of the rear panel of the M1906F9SH show that it has an elongated cutout for the vertical camera setup followed by a hole for the LED flash. The “48MP AI Camera” text can be seen below it. The logos for Xiaomi and Android One is available on the bottom side of the phone’s back panel. None of the specs of the phone have been revealed through its FCC certification. It is very likely to arrive with identical specs as the Xiaomi Mi CC9e smartphone.

The latter is well-known for its selfie beautification apps and selfie-focused phones. The Mi CC9 series boasts trendy appeal  and come with attractive specs and pricing. The CC9 Meitu Custom Edition is a premium phone whose camera capabilities are powered by Meitu’s imaging algorithms.

Xiaomi Mi CC9 and CC9e Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi CC9 and CC9e come with gradient colored curved 3D glass panels. The Mi CC9 features a 6.39-inch full HD+ resolution AMOLED display with dot notch. The Mi CC9e that is packed with inferior specs comes with a dot notch enabled 6.08-inch screen AMOLED display that supports HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. A mystery Meitu device with model number M1904F3BT has just popped up on TENAA, revealing its full specifications along with images. There are enough reasons to believe that it could be the elusive Xiaomi Mi CC9 smartphone.

Meitu M1904F3BT Specifications

According to the TENAA listing, the M1904F3BT features a 6.39-inch OLED display with a 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. The device measures 156.8 x 74.5 x 8.67mm and weighs 179 grams. It is fueled by 2.2Ghz octa-core processor.

The smartphone is powered by a 3,940 mAh battery with fast charging. It is listed in three variants with different memory and storage options namely 4 GB of RAM + 64 GB of storage, 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM + 25 6GB of storage.

The M1904F3BT runs on Android 9 out of the box. It has a 48-megapixel triple camera setup at the rear with a single LED flash. There is a 32-megapixel selfie camera housed in the waterdrop notch above the screen. No rear fingerprint scanner can be seen in the images since it sports an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Jun has shared two renders of the dark blue version of the smartphone. He claims that its real device looks much better than the renders. He has also released a video to showcase the beauty of the blue variant. He has claimed that the designing team has put lot of efforts in designing the rear texture and pattern on the Mi CC9 smartphone.

The Dark Blue Planet edition of the Xiaomi Mi CC9 has wavy pattern on the glass rear. Depending on the reflection of the light, the pattern seems to appear prominent when viewed from different angles. Xiaomi CC’s product manager Lao Wei has claimed that only a video can truly show the fascinating design of the smartphone. Jun has claimed that the Mi CC9 will come in more colors. Hopefully, he may share images of another color edition of the phone before its July 2 launch.

As it can be seen, the white edition of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi CC9 has a gradient finish to it that reflects faint shades of blue, purple and pink. The new image gives the first look at the smartphone. The glass rear of the phone is curved at all four sides.

The rear shell of the Mi CC9 is equipped with a triple camera setup at the top-left corner. The rear shell of the phone lacks a fingerprint scanner. Rumors surrounding the Mi CC9 have revealed that it will be sporting an AMOLED screen with in-display fingerprint scanner.

There seems to be a 3.5mm audio jack and a SIM card slot on the top edge of the Mi CC9. The right edge of the phone has a volume rocker and a power key. Another image that was shared by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shows that it will be equipped with a pair of external speakers with a USB-C in between.

According to Jun, being a trend setting smartphone, the Mi CC9 has to sport a good design. He added that this time Xiaomi’s “Art Students” team designed the romantic white version of the Mi CC9. While Jun has dubbed the model as Romantic White, it may not be the actual name of the color variant since Wei has asked to choose a suitable name from options like Dream White, White Dream Mirror and White Lovers for above shown color variant.

The Mi CC9 is expected to house a full HD+ 6.2-inch display with waterdrop notch and it could be fueled by Snapdragon 730 chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM and 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging. The Weibo post that accompanies the below shown poster reads that the 32-megapixelfront camera of Mi CC9 can “restore the natural skin texture” and it can “record the beauty of each moment.” The Mi CC9’s front camera with powered with Meitu’s AI imaging algorithm for capturing impressive selfie shots.

Xiaomi has shared selfie images of its female employees on Weibo to show the selfie capabilities of the Mi CC9 smartphone. The has claimed that the phone will feature a function that will make it possible to snap handsfree selfies. The promotional posts of Mi CC9 mainly feature females including the Lao Wei who is the product manager of Mi CC9 series. A new Xiaomi phone that has a model number of M1904F3BC has appeared on the website of China’s TENAA telecom authority. Since it is an early listing, it contains only the images of the phone. It is expected to get updated with full specifications of the phone in the next few days. It is speculated that the M1904F3BC Xiaomi phone could be the upcoming selfie-focused Xiaomi Mi CC9 phone. Rumors are rife that it will be Xiaomi’s first phone coming after the acquisition of Meitu, a Chinese firm that specializes in selfie beautifying apps and selfie-centric phones.

The M1904F3BC and M1904F3BT model numbers that belong to the same Xiaomi phone was recently spotted on the 3C authority. It had revealed that the smartphone may arrive with support for up to 9V/2A (18W) charging. It indicated that it could be an upper mid-range phone from the company.

A rumor about a new Xiaomi phone with a weird name – Xiaomi Mi CC9e is now doing rounds on Weibo. Some of the key specification of the Mi CC9e smartphone have surfaced. It is being speculated that the M1904F3BC Xiaomi phone that has recently bagged approved 3C authority in China could be the rumored Xiaomi Mi CC9e smartphone.

Leaked information about the Xiaomi Mi CC9e states that it will be featuring a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with dot notch and it will carry support for full HD+ resolution. The rear shell of the phone could be sporting a 3D glass.

The Snapdragon 710 or 712 mobile platform could be the driving force of the smartphone. For capturing selfies, it may house a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The rear side of the phone is expected to sport a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple camera setup. The handset is expected to arrive with a 3,300mAh battery. The leak also claimed that the Xiaomi Mi CC9e will be a selfie-focused smartphone.

Two new Xiaomi phones with model numbers such as M1904F3BC/T and M1906F9SC have bagged approval from China’s Compulsory Certificate (3C) body in China. The M1904F3BC and M1904F3BT that are variants of the same phone have been 3C approved with MDY-10-EC charger that supports up to 18W fast charging. The M1906F9SC Xiaomi phone seems to be an upcoming budget phone because its MDY-09-EK charger supports only 10W charging.

It is being speculated that the M1904F3BC/T Xiaomi phone may release in the market as Xiaomi Mi CC9e. Xiaomi smartphones are well known for offering the best price-performance ratio. The Chinese has mainly concentrated on selling its phones online since its beginning. However, now that the online market has saturated Xiaomi is working on expanding its presence in the offline market. OPPO’s A series, Vivo Y’s lineup and Huawei’s Maimang phones are mainly sold to target offline customers. Xiaomi too has started selling its phones offline. The rumored information about Xiaomi Mi CC9e also states that it could belong to a new series that will be primarily sold offline.

Since there is no concrete information on the exact identity of M1904F3BC/T and the existence of Xiaomi Mi CC9e, it is advisable to digest the report with a grain of salt. More details on the newly spotted Xiaomi phones are expected to surface in the near future.
