Along with a bunch of optimizations, the update also carries the February 2022 security patch.

The firmware is labeled V13.0.1.0.SFNEUXM and the complete ROM zip should be sized 2.9GB. The MIUI 13 launch events outside of China hadn’t introduced much in terms of features aside from new wallpapers, so don’t expect too much from the build.

Anyway, the complete official changelog has been given below for your reference.

System

‌Stable MIUI based on Android 12

‌Updated Android Security Patch to February 2022. Increased system security

More features and improvements

‌New: Apps can be opened as floating windows directly from the sidebar

Optimization: Enhanced accessibility support for Phone, Clock, and Weather

Optimization: Mind map nodes are more convenient and intuitive now

Xiaomiui says that the update is being rolled out only for those that are part of the Mi Pilot Testers program currently so it may be a while before it arrives on your device.

Still, you can download the update manually through this link, and install it by heading over to Settings > About phone > System update. No guarantees, though, since the build is currently Pilot-exclusive.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite was launched back in April 2020 and first booted into Android 10, meaning that this Android 12 update is the last Android version upgrade for it.

With this handset, you get much at a very affordable price. It just launched in the global market, where several Xiaomi budget phones are actually among the best-sellers of the year. Is the new POCO X3 NFC better than every other Xiaomi phone in terms of value for money? Why is it so affordable? It is really the best deal or there are hidden compromises to face? We will try to answer these questions in this comparison between POCO X3 NFC, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, and Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Design

At a first glance you would not say that Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is the most premium device of this trio because of its waterdrop notch, since its two rivals come with more modern punch-hole display. But the truth is that Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is more compact and it is also made with more premium materials, including a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and an aluminum frame. With the POCO X3 NFC, you get an aluminum frame but a plastic back, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a glass back and a plastic frame. That is why Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite wins the design comparison. But you should note that POCO X3 NFC is splash-proof with the IP53 certification.

Display

Do you prefer having an AMOLED display with a standard refresh rate or an IPS panel with a high 120 Hz refresh rate? If you need a better image quality, then you should go for the HDR10 display of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite coming with the AMOLED technology. If you need a smoother viewing experience because you are a gamer or you just like smoothness, choose the POCO X3 NFC, but you will get an inferior image quality. Redmi Note 9 Pro is pretty disappointing since it sports a classic IPS display with a standard refresh rate. Note that Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite has a smaller display than its two opponents (6.47 inches vs 6.67 inches).

Hardware/Software

The most advanced chipset belongs to the POCO X3 NFC: we are talking about the Snapdragon 730G which is actually an upgrade of the Snapdragon 730G found on the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite. But there is something to specify: the differences between Snapdragon 730G and 732G are not big, and the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite offers a higher amount of RAM in its most advanced configuration (8 GB vs 6 GB). That is why Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite looks a more interesting choice. We discard the Redmi Note 9 Pro since it comes with a weaker Snapdragon 720G and max 6 GB of RAM. Android 10 is installed out of the box, but only with the POCO X3 NFC you get the MIUI 12 directly.

Camera

With the POCO X3 NFC, you get a slightly better camera experience because it has a better ultrawide sensor with a 13 MP resolution. But its macro camera is inferior with a 2 MP resolution. The differences between the cameras of POCO X3 NFC, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, and Redmi Note 9 Pro are just marginal and in each case, we are talking about midrange camera phones.

Battery

The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite provides both the biggest battery and the longest battery life because it features a more efficient and smaller AMOLED display. Right after, despite its smaller battery than POCO X3 NFC, there should be Redmi Note 9 Pro because it comes with a standard refresh rate. But the POCO X3 NFC is still a great battery phone.

Price

POCO X3 NFC carries a starting price of just €229/$270 (€199 for the first day) in the global market and it has the best value for the money. But the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is my favorite one because of its AMOLED display, more premium design, and a bigger battery. However, you have to spend almost €300/$353 to get it. With the POCO X3 NFC around, there is no reason to buy a Redmi Note 9 Pro with the actual prices ranging between €220/$260 and €230/$270, so you should wait for its price to drop if you are interested in it.

But today, Samsung overcame all the other mainstream brands by launching the Galaxy M51: the phone with the biggest battery released in 2020 (if we only consider mainstream brands). But is this phone just a battery monster or it also offers a high value for money and good specifications? Is it worth choosing it or you can find something better in the same price range? We want to let you find out by comparing it with its rivals from other brands. As you maybe realized, we chose two other midrange battery phones for this specs comparison: Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and Motorola Moto G 5G Plus.

Design

Despite it is an affordable phone, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is built with premium materials just like flagships. Its body is composed of a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and an aluminum frame: these materials alone let the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite win our design comparison since both Samsung Galaxy M51 and Motorola Moto G 5G Plus have a full plastic body. However, the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus is still very interesting with its dual punch-hole display and its water-repellent body.

Display

On the paper, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite has the most interesting display. It is equipped with an AMOLED panel showing brilliant colors with the support of the HDR10 standard for better image quality. Right after, we got the Samsung Galaxy M51 which still comes with an AMOLED panel. Unfortunately for a lot of people following the trends, Motorola Moto G 5G Plus features an IPS display. But on the other hand, it is the only one to offer a 90 Hz refresh rate. Note that Samsung Galaxy M51 and Motorola Moto G 5G Plus have a wider display than Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, and this makes the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite a more compact phone.

Hardware/Software

The most advanced hardware department belongs to the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus. First of all, it has the fastest and best chipset: the Snapdragon 765 (not the G version). Further, it supports 5G connectivity, unlike Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and Samsung Galaxy M51. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite takes the silver medal with its Snapdragon 730G paired with up to 8 GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy M51 loses the comparison with its Snapdragon 730 and just 6 GB of RAM, but it is still a great phone if we talk about performance. These devices run Android 10 out of the box.

Camera

On the camera side, nobody can beat the Samsung Galaxy M51. It has the same main camera as the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, but it sports better secondary sensors including a 12 MP ultrawide lens and two 5 MP sensors for macros and depth info. Last but not least, it features a better 32 MP selfie snapper. With the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, you get better selfie cameras than Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, but the latter offers good rear cameras.

Battery

The battery is the strongest point of the Samsung Galaxy M51. Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and Motorola Moto G 5G Plus are great battery phones, but Samsung Galaxy M51 kills them with its mammoth 7,000 mAh battery. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus are more or less at the same level, but the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is slightly better in a lot of scenarios, especially thanks to its AMOLED display.

Price

Samsung Galaxy M51 is priced €360/$430, Motorola Moto G 5G Plus has a listing price of €399/$476, and Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite can be bought for less than €300/$359 thanks to online street prices. There is not a winner for everyone in this comparison: the Samsung Galaxy M51 offers better cameras and battery, the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus has better hardware and 5G, and Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite has a better build quality and display. Which is your favorite one?

Design

If we consider aesthetics, my favorite handset here is the Oppo Find X2 Lite. It offers a very thin and lighter design, as well as a less invasive camera module on the rear side making it more minimalistic. It is equipped with a glass back and an aluminum frame for a premium look. Definitely a beautiful device, like every handset from the Find X2 series. But with its curved display edges, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite remains a very elegant and futuristic device. Even the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite has a great design, it features a flat display but a smaller camera module than Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite on the back. All of these devices come with an in-display fingerprint reader.

Display

On the paper, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite offers a more interesting display. The panel is HDR10-compliant, so it may provide a richer image quality, even while streaming content. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite offers a wider diagonal. Thanks to its smaller display, Oppo Find X2 Lite is slightly more compact. Do not underestimate it: unfortunately, we still had no chance to test that display, but Oppo usually equips its handsets with great panels.

Hardware/Software

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite offer a stronger hardware thanks to the Snapdragon 765G mobile platform. Unlike the Mi Note 10 Lite, they support 5G networks thanks to a 5G integrated modem. You should get very similar high-end performances with Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite, but the former has a micro SD slot to expand the internal storage, while the latter does not. Android 10 is installed out of the box on all of these smartphones.

Camera

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, and Oppo Find X2 Pro are midrange camera phones. Oppo Find X2 Lite looks more convincing with its bright focal aperture and an amazing selfie camera. But Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite’s quad-cameras are great as well. You should get a similar photo quality, judging by the camera specs.

Battery

Due to its mammoth 5260 mAh battery, Mi Note 10 Lite will most likely offer a way longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Oppo Find X2 Lite with all the usage patterns. Also consider that Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite does not support 5G, so it is even more efficient. It also comes with a fast 30W charging technology, but the 30W fast charging found on the Oppo Find X2 Lite will charge it faster because the battery is smaller.

Price

The global price of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite ranges from €350/$383 to €400/$438, while Oppo Find X2 Lite starts from €499/$546. On the paper, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite looks more gorgeous due to its huge battery, but it lacks 5G support and it has an inferior chipset. Oppo Find X2 Lite offers an amazing and compact design, great cameras, and faster charging and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite is more or less at the same level (slightly bigger battery, potentially inferior cameras). Which one would you pick?
