Its been just a few days since Google announced its latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. But developers have already started working on the new update for existing devices. According to the new Weibo post from the active Chinese developer, Ivan, we could see the first developer version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Xiaomi Mi3 real soon.

Of course, you may have to wait for a few more weeks until the first usable version is available, but its still good to see that thanks to such active developers, you can try out the latest Marshmallow Android update months before the official release.

Ivan notes that he’s still fixing bugs on the his Xiaomi Mi3. And once he’s done with the Xiaomi Mi3 model, he will move on to the flagship Xiaomi Mi4. So, Mi4 users also have something to cheer about. Further, he adds that he will also try to install it on the three year old Xiaomi Mi2 model as well (if possible) and finally move on the the Xiaomi Mi Note standard edition.

Given the immense popularity of Xiaomi’s flagship devices, most of the Android version updates are already available to download. We recently saw the new Android 5.0.2 ROM for both the Xiaomi Mi3 and the Mi4 from a well known developer back in February, and today, Ivan brings out the latest version of Android 5.1 Lollipop update to these devices.

Android 5.1 is the most recent update from Google for Lollipop and in fact, it was just announced a week back. So, its good to see that the new version made it to Xiaomi Mi3 and Mi4 devices so fast.

Here’s the official list of changelog with the new update.

The process of downloading and installing the ROM is pretty straight forward. Most of the Xiaomi Mi3 and Mi4 variants are compatible with the update except for the Xiaomi Mi4 CDMA 4G model. So, if you are using that particular edition, don’t try to flash, as it won’t work properly and you may even brick your device.

Here are the known models which successfully ran the new Android 5.1 ROM: Mi4W/C and Mi3W with WCDMA, CDMA and TD SIM cards

Remember to boot your device once you have installed the ROM as otherwise, you may face some network signal issues. Also, if you are using a Chinese CDMA model, there’s apparently some issues that’s still not fixed.

Mr. Manu Jain, GM Xiaomi India has said that the company has made some changes in the sales policy of Xiaomi Mi 3 on Flipkart, where a buyer can only get 1 phone. Xiaomi said that these flash sales are the best way to do business in India.

According to the Flipkart stats, the first flash sale of Xiaomi Mi 3 on their website lasted for less than 40 minutes, second sale lasted for 2 seconds and the third sale lasted for 5 seconds. The most recent one, fourth sale lasted for just 2.4 seconds. Whatever it may be, Xiaomi has shown that they can compete with Apple and Samsung in all countries of the world and India has become one of their good sales market.

The reduction in price by Motorola shows that even giant like Motorola is threatened by the entry of new Chinese Company Xiaomi. Although Moto G and Xiaomi Mi3 are available in INR 10,000-14,000 or US$160-230, this range seems to be attractive for budget smartphone users. In Indian market, the number of features of mobile phones seem to  hold more importance than abstract qualities e.g., build quality, software etc. The Moto G bank on these abstract qualities, thus giving feature rich Xiamoi Mi3.  Not only Motorola is affected by the competition, the market leader like Samsung is also feeling the impulse. Samsung recently launched three versions of budget phones which are under price range of INR 8,000 or US$ 130. The specifications of these budget phones may not hamper the budget phones of Motorola and Xiaomi Mi3 in terms of specification but it clearly shows that Samsung would not give the share of budget phone market that easily. In addition, the pricing strategy of Xiaomi may force other market players to readjust the prices of mid-range and high-end phones, also.

It happened again, millions of Mi 3 fans who were waiting for the sale were disappointed as the 20,000 phones vanished in few seconds. Flipkart, the online selling site, did this for the fourth time. Flipkart’s sale of Xiaomi new handsets Mi 3 started at 2 PM and ended in seconds. Thousands of people registered for the sale.

Flipkart is being criticized since the Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Mi3 was launched in India. A video shows the last moments of the sale on 12th August at 2 PM. The buy now button was not even seemed.   A video shows that there was the difference in the sale countdown timer on users’ browsers and Flipkart website. The user’s browser time is not synced with the Flipkart server. The people who clicked on ‘Buy’  button got message “Out of stock” as the countdown timer ended.

Some said the sale of was a scam. The fact is, that Flipkart is receiving the handsets in small batches which are put on sale every time.   Flipkart has got 55,000 handsets which were sold in four sales. There are over 3 lac Mi 3 buyers registered on Flipkart. The 20,000 handsets’ batch disappeared with in few seconds as the sale began.

Flipkart and Xiaomi are expected to get bashing from more than 80,000 customers who waited for the sale of Xiaomi Mi 3 handsets, today. As the 20,000 handsets just disappeared within few seconds there would be unsatisfied customers bashing Flipkart and Xiaomi, again.

Today, there have been two photos of Xiaomi Mi3 running Flyme OS, this pciture is come from inside Meizu. From the image point of view, this TD version of Xiaomi smartphone is running the latest Flyme OS v3.4.5, not all function and fatures is working preperly.

This is just another rumor from Meizu engineers only, not and this port is not officially approved, so there is only a semi-finished products. Including Smartbar other features still exist, and support dropdown hover, but this not stable.

Ray Ng Wan, the folks from Chinese has unveiled the news that the new Xiaomi Mi3 for China Unicom has unveiled the Xiaomi is using different processor for each bands.

While the device is using Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974AB replaced by 8274AB processor model, responded to Xiaomi two processors in terms of performance the undifferentiated, only this version does not support the 4G.

More details, Xiaomi through his official account on Sina Weibo said that 150 thousand units of Mi3 is sold out in 9 minutes and 55 seconds. The marketing through WeChat itself is part of the cooperation between the two companies that allows to extend the reach of marketing.

Xiaomi Mi3 is next gerneration flagship phone, lots of rumors on internet about it. Today, Xiaomi Mi3 real picture is leaked on Weibo (China Twitter). It is as same as former rumor.

Xiaomi Mi3 will own 5.5 inch FHD screen,  Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM, and 16GB/32GB ROM. This phone has top-level 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera.

This Xiaomi Mi3 will launch on Auguest 16th.

Xiaomi seems is preapring the new handset, that’s handset is called as Xiaomi Mi3 and now we’ve got the benchmark test screen appear as a leaked informatin.

According to GFXBench, the Xiaomi Mi3 is appear as a new smartphone that already preparing for the next Xiaomi phone, and this phone is powered by NVidia Tegra 4 chipset. Its also shows benchmarking results better than those of Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Android smartphone.

This phone has 1.8Ghz clockspeed, packed with unknown screen size but will has 1920 x 1080 pixel display, and running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Unfortunately, no specific info on when the handset will arrive on shelves has been provided.
