The company also disclosed that it presently controls about 50% of China&#8217;s OLED TV market in the wake of a low penetration rate for OLED TVs in China. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/xiaomi-tv-2.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-410085" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/xiaomi-tv-2.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="600" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/xiaomi-tv-2.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/xiaomi-tv-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/xiaomi-tv-2-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The recent sales record is connected to the Mi OLED TV 6 and the Mi Masters TV 77 that were announced not too long ago. The Mi TV 6 OLED comes with a cheaper 5699 yuan (~$883) starting price tag for the 55-inch. The Mi TV Masters 77 OLED isn&#8217;t that cheap, packing a hefty price tag of 19,999 yuan (). The design and features seem to justify the price tag as the device packs a slim form factor said to be thinner than a smartphone.</p>
<p>Xiaomi has often dominated the smart TV market in China for the past months. A recent report by market research firm Avi Cloud (AVC) shows that Xiaomi has topped that smart TV market ranking for 10 consecutive quarters.</p>
<p>The growth recorded by the Chinese tech giant in the sector is driven by a consistent outflow of quality products and that continued in to date. The company recently launched the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/26/xiaomi-mi-tv-5x-in-43-inch-50-inch-and-55-inch-models-launched-in-india/">Mi TV 5X</a> and it is already performing excellently in the market especially in India where it has been launched.</p>

<p>But Mi MIX 4 isn&#8217;t the only product from Xiaomi to be launched at the event on 10th August. It has planned to announce a few more products, including a high-end <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/smart-speaker">smart speaker</a>, and the second generation of OLED TVs.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-404187 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Xiaomi-OLED-TV-Launch-Teaser.jpeg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi OLED TV Launch Teaser" width="1440" height="1920" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Xiaomi-OLED-TV-Launch-Teaser.jpeg 1440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Xiaomi-OLED-TV-Launch-Teaser-225x300.jpeg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Xiaomi-OLED-TV-Launch-Teaser-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Xiaomi-OLED-TV-Launch-Teaser-696x928.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Xiaomi-OLED-TV-Launch-Teaser-1068x1424.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Xiaomi-OLED-TV-Launch-Teaser-315x420.jpeg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px" /></p>
<p>The Chinese company has said that the next generation of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oled-tv">OLED TVs</a> will come with an improvement in picture quality. Details about this Smart TV remain unknown but we expect to get to know them ahead of the official launch next week, through leaks or teasers from the company itself.</p>
<p>In June last year, Xiaomi <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/02/xiaomi-mi-tv-master-series-65-inch-oled-launches-in-china-for-12999-yuan-1840/">had launched its first OLED smart TV</a> with the Mi TV Master branding for a price of 12,999 yuan (~$2,011) but is now available at a discounted price of 9,999 yuan (~$1,546) in China.</p>
<p>The Mi TV Master features a 10-bit 65-inch 4K OLED display panel with 120Hz refresh rate, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/09/all-you-need-to-know-about-memc-motion-estimation-motion-compensation/">MEMC</a>, 98.5% DCI-P3 color gamut,1000000:1 contrast ratio, peak brightness of 1000 nits, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 1ms response time, and 98.8% screen to body ratio.</p>
<p>It is powered by a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MediaTek">MediaTek </a>MTK9650 SoC with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The device runs <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI">MIUI</a> for TV along with Patchwall content aggregation service. There&#8217;s also a 65W in-built speaker system which includes two 12.5W left/right channels, two 10W surround channels, and a 20W 50Hz ultra-low frequency subwoofer.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Last Friday, Pan Jun, the General Manager of Xiaomi TV, </span><a href="https://weibo.com/1086603800/KjIy96YwN"><span style="font-weight: 400">shared</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> a picture showcasing two different televisions in dark on Weibo. In the description of the post, he mentioned that one of the televisions in the image is a new </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Mi-TV/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mi TV</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, whereas the other is a highly-rated TV (he did not mention the brand). He asked his followers to choose the better one out of the two.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The picture shared by the company executive does not justify the picture quality of the two televisions. It is a known fact that the quality of TV panels cannot be judged from images and videos. One needs to experience in person in order to draw a conclusion.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Hence, this Weibo post by Pan Jun is nothing but part of marketing to tease the arrival of a new </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> Mi TV. The company is yet to officially reveal anything about this television, however, a reliable leaker has some idea about this product.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Mi TV will be </span><a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/KhHvzAx5j"><span style="font-weight: 400">using</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> an OLED panel. However, he did not reveal the size. But he did hint at the television’s price.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">As per the tipster, the forthcoming Xiaomi OLED TV could be slightly expensive due to chip shortage and a hike in TV panel prices. But he does </span><a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/Kj621lFTi"><span style="font-weight: 400">say</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> that the company will help in making Mini LED and OLED televisions accessible to more consumers by bringing down the price with its new products.</span></p>
