It even has a built-in USB-C cable like the recent Magnetic Power Bank and Xiaomi Power Bank 20000. This model supports multiple charging standards, including QC 3, PD 3, and even Apple 2.4A.

In other words, Xiaomi’s 67W power bank can charge big gadgets like laptops and smaller devices like earbuds and smartwatches. As the name suggests, the power bank has a 10,000mAh battery capacity, and supports 65W self charging as well. A single full charge requires just under 1.5 hours. Xiaomi built this to be compact and convenient for travel. You can also find a digital display on the side, which shows crucial information like charge levels.

The company announced the Xiaomi Power Bank 10000 67W in two bright color variants, which include an off-white (beige) and a light blue option. Xiaomi is currently offering this model on pre-orders in China for 149 Yuan, which is roughly about 20 US Dollars. This model was just recently announced in the Indian market, and it is now making its way to more European regions.

Xiaomi claims that an iPhone 16 Pro can charge to 56 percent in just 30 minutes. It has a heftier body that weighs 342 grams. One of them will have a leather casing while the higher version will feature a ceramic body. The poster also touts the power bank of capable of providing 30W fast charge for the Mi 10 Pro.

In addition, it also features support for MIJIA app and uses a USB-C interface. The battery will also be lithium-ion batteries which provide better quality. The power bank will have a maximum charging power of 65W and can be used to charge a laptop which uses the USB-C interface.

Xiaomi isn’t new to making power banks and neither is Redmi. The independent brand had launched a couple of power banks in China last year in July. It looks like the same power banks have been announced in the Indian market. Both, the 10,000mAh and the 20,000mAh power bank come with dual inputs and dual outputs. So, you can charge them via a MicroUSB or USB-C cable. Also, the two USB-A ports can be used to charge your smartphone, tablet, or even small accessories using smart low power mode.

The Redmi 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power banks are available in two colors, gorgeous black, and elegant white. They have smooth and round corners and features grooves on the sides for better grip. While the 10,000mAh power bank can input and output at 10W, the large 20,000mAh power bank can charge itself as well as other devices at a slightly faster 18W charging speed. Both power banks feature 12 layer circuit chip protection which includes over-voltage protection, temperature protection, short-circuit protection, and over-current protection.

Xiaomi has just launched a new IDMIX multi function travel charger through its Youpin electronic gadgets platform. It is currently available for 358 Yuan (roughly 52 US Dollars) while its adapter is being sold for 39 Yuan (roughly 6 US Dollars).

According to official notes, the IDMIX multi function travel charger brings three major functions with it that makes it a versatile electronic accessory. The device can work as a power adapter, mobile power bank and even supports wireless charging. Adaptability is key as well since it supports British, European and Australian power plug adapters. Xiaomi has just unveiled a multi-function device that is capable of being used as a flashlight, desk lamp and even as a power bank in emergency cases. In other words, it is a multi-purpose flashlight that can be used with a degree of flexibility.

According to official sources, the unique device is a compact product that features multiple sensors which enables a few useful features. It is equipped with dual photo sensors that allow it to accurately judge ambient light alongside another sensor that lets it detect human presence. The later enables automatic functions like turning on when someone is nearby and turning off once they leave the vicinity. This sensor has a 120-degree field of capture which detects a human’s presence as far as 3 metres away.

Xiaomi’s power banks are quite popular among fans and today, the company has released a new version of its 20000mAh capacity model, called the Mi Power bank 3 Pro. As the name suggests, this particular model comes loaded with a number of high-end features. The highlight of the new power bank is its support for 45W dual way fast charging.

The Mi Powerbank 3 Pro comes with three ports in total, as opposed to the two ports found on the 10000mAh Mi Powerbank 2 Pro model. There are two USB-A ports along with a USB Type-C port. The Type-C port can take 45W (15V/3A) input as well as output, while the USB-A ports max out at 18W (again both input/output at 5V/2.4A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A). It can charge a number of laptops through its Type-C port including some of Apple’s Macbook Pro and Air models and Huawei’s Matebook models (the complete list of supported models are added at the end of the post).

Xiaomi teased an image a few months ago about what we thought was going to be a new power bank or something related but that launch didn’t come….not until today. The company relaunched the Mi Power Bank Pro by adding a few extras and slamming a new price on it.

The new (old) Xiaomi power bank still keeps its 1000mAh capacity, Type-C input port and USB 2.0 output port. What Xiaomi is throwing into the package is a soft protective case and a Micro USB Type-C combo cable that has a Micro USB and USB Type-C connector on end and USB 2.0 at the other end. The power bank now sells for 169 yuan ($25) compared to the 149 yuan ($22) price for the version not having any of these accessories.

The cable will come in handy for those who have devices using USB Type-C ports and still have a device with the micro-USB port, saving them the extra luggage of carrying two separate charging cables.

Looking at it now, the image leaked back then was hinting at a cable and not a new power bank.

The case is also not a bad addition, considering the body of the power bank is prone to scratches. We don’t know if Xiaomi is going to pull off the other power bank from their online store and replace it with this one or maybe they will sell both side by side. But paying an extra 20 yuan for these accessories does not seem like a bad deal.

Xiaomi had last week sent out a press invite of an event holding on September 21. The poster contained a teaser of what should be a power bank to be released on the said date even thought it wasn’t explicitly stated on the press invite. Now it has been confirmed by no less a person than Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO that a new power bank is in the works and this he did via a Weibo post. The CEO hinted about the release of a Xiaomi Mobile power 2 soon and even shared a photo of what the expected power bank looks like.

One product from Xiaomi which has acquired worldwide admiration, even from those who don’t like Xiaomi smartphones, is the Xiaomi powerbank. In just around two years of its first release, the Xiaomi powerbank have gone on to rake in over 20 million units in sales. Presently, Xiaomi has different power banks with capacities ranging from 5000mAh, 10,000mAh to 20,000mAh.

The picture shared by Lei Jun only reveals a 10000mAh power bank and that’s nothing higher in capacity from what we have seen from his company in the past. However, this one is billed to provide a lot more features than its predecessors. There is a USB Type-C interface and a USB charging output interface and this comes with support for two-way fast charging and perhaps more. We’ll have to wait till September 21 when it would be officially unveiled to know the other features on offer and if its going be so much more for less, talking about the price. The 10000mAh Mi Powerbank Pro with quite similar features, released earlier on, started at just 149 Yuan which comes to around $22-$23.

Sometimes I wonder how many projects are going on at the same time at Xiaomi’s RD lab. This week, they’ve launched two products, the Luo Qing Umbrella and the Xiaomi Mi VR Play.

Yesterday, they posted a teaser image of another upcoming product on their Weibo page which is set to launch by 2:00 pm  on Monday, 8th of August.

The teaser image shows 3 power banks standing vertically beside each other (bird’s eye view) or on their sides with USB cables on the the left and right. The power banks are the 5,000mAh, 10,000mAh Pro, and 20,000mAh types judging from the way the buttons and ports are placed.

Now we can translate this to mean that they are working on a new power bank (maybe one that has a capacity of all three combined) or like speculations online, a UPS. We can only guess what the product is, but one thing we are sure of is that it has to do with power.

       According to Xiaomi, the most obvious change in the 5000mAh Xiaomi Mi Power Bank is its weight and thickness. It is lighter and slimmer. This power bank uses a battery cell provided by ATL which is also one of Apple’s suppliers. It also uses a solution made by the famous Texas Instruments. 

The 16000mAh and 10400mAh power banks are 350g and 250g, respectively. Both of them use the 18650 battery cell. The 5000mAh power bank uses a polymer battery cell, is only 9.9mm thick, and only weighs 156g. You can easily carry it around in your shirt pocket.

The Xiaomi Power Bank 5000mAh version’s model number is NDY-02-AM. As for voltage, it has 3.7V. According to Xiaomi, its input is 2.0A, while its output is 2.1A. In other words, it should only take 3.5 hours to fully charge this device with a 5V/2A charger and cable.

Its design is similar to Xiaomi’s other power banks. The power switch is located on one end of the device’s curved body, along with the 4XLED light and USB charging port. The outer cover is made of an aluminum alloy.

You can separate the front and back covers by unscrewing the right bolts there. Now, we can look at the motherboard and battery cell.

What everyone is most concerned about is what solution Xiaomi used for this device. We found some information on the battery cell and its PCBA.

The 5000mAh Xiaomi Mi Power Bank still uses the ABOV 97F1204SMBN.

It also uses the TI BQ24195 which enables the power bank to charge at 2A.

The battery cell used comes from ATL and has 18.1Wh. Its model number is H994406L.

I charged the Power Bank using a 5V 2A charger. The input was 5.25V (2.2A), and the charging speed is pretty good.

Xiaomi is known for producing cost-effective products. On November 11, they will release the Xiaomi Power Bank 16000mAh version and it will cost just 99 RMB (16.17 USD). Here is an unboxing of Xiaomi’s foray into the mobile battery industry.

The Xiaomi Power Bank comes in a white box. The front side of the box has nothing on it except the Xiaomi logo at the bottom.

On the left side of the box are barcode labels and anti-fake stickers.

On the right side of the box are the specifications of the power bank.

Besides the power bank itself, the package includes the manual and a USB cable.

The Xiaomi power bank 16000mAh version uses an aluminum case.

The body is covered with a sticker used to protect the power bank. Same goes with the USB ports.

       The 16000mAh version has two USB ports, which allows the user to charge two phones at the same time. It only comes with one wire.

The 16000mAh version is slimmer than the 10400mAh version.

Not surprisingly, the 16000mAh version should last much longer than the 10400mAh version.

After making the consumers of India wait for so long, Xiaomi has finally launched Power Banks in India with their sales partner Flipkart.com. The high acceptance of this product can be easily estimated by looking at the number of pre-orders that have been made in just 24 hours. The pre-orders were opened on shopping portal Flipkart.com for Xiaomi Mi Power Banks on Friday. Xiaomi has released two variants of Power Banks, 10400mAh and 5200mAh, at the price of 999 INR ($16.5) and 799 INR ($13) respectively. The more popular version, 10400mAh is out of stock but 5200mAh is still available on Flipkart.com for pre-orders.

Any device like digital camera, smartphone, tablet and phablet can be recharged using Xiaomi Power Banks. According to Xiaomi, the 10,400mAh Mi Power Bank has a power to charge the Mi 3 phone 2.5 times, an Apple iPhone 5S 4.5 times and an iPad mini 1.5 times on a single charge. The Xioami Power Bank gets fully charged in around 5.5 hours. The device is 90.5x77x21.6mm in dimensions and 250 grams in weight. Alternatively the portable 5,200mAh Mi Power Bank can charge the Mi 3 once and an Apple iPhone 5S twice just on a single charge. This Power Bank has been compared with “business card” having a width of 5.5 cm and this makes this device highly portable. Both the variants of Power Banks are water and corrosion resistant and have an end-to-end covering of anodized aluminium.

The success of Xiaomi Power Banks can be easily anticipated from the number 10,000. It will not be surprising, if the Xiaomi Power Banks touch the milestone of 1,00,000 soon.
