“Affected by the epidemic situation, in order to cooperate with governments at all levels to do a good job in epidemic prevention and prevention, to comprehensively and actively respond to national policies and measures, and also for the health of your family and friends around us, we carefully decided:

1. The Xiaomi House nationwide will be closed from January 28, 2020 (the fourth day) to February 2, 2020 (the ninth day). It will resume operations on February 3, 2020 (the 10th day), and it will be notified separately if there is any adjustment.

China has been battling with a strange virus belonging to the Coronavirus species that has already resulted in the death of 80 persons in Wuhan where it emanated from. Almost 2,800 cases have been confirmed across China. The government has also placed 15 cities with a combined population of over 57 million people under full or partial lockdown. Wuhan has been effectively quarantined with major flights and long-distance transport systems suspended for the foreseeable future.

Amid tensions between the US and China, various Chinese companies are turning to make a huge presence in the European market. After, Huawei’s announcement, Xiaomi has also announced to open new stores in the European sub-continent. The smartphone market is already blooming in Europe with Chinese products. Today as per Xiaomi’s vice president, Wang Xiang, the company wants to triple its presence in Europe.

After conquering the smartphone markets of some developing nations like India, Indonesia and some other countries, now the Chinese brand is moving towards the west. It will help the company to make its presence at the ground level across the whole European continent. Already, Xiaomi owns near about 50 stores in Europe but now it plans to increase it by 3x to 150. It is a good step to elevate the confidence for the brand among the local customers. Overall, it will increase the brand’s popularity in Europe.

Xiaomi is known for its affordability across mid-level and entry-level devices. Now, they are plunging towards high-end markets, and Europe is the best market as far as the spending power is considered.

Every year with the new devices, Xiaomi is expanding its goals for different new markets. They tend to enter every big market throughout the world. Opposingly, the road to the US seems harsh right now due to stiff between US-China trade relations. Many Chinese firms are reeling from losses and stiff conditions to operate. Even Xiaomi is struggling to make a mark on the US soil due to unlikely conditions.

Additionally, Xiaomi has announced various new high-end devices at MWC 2019. Mainly, they launched Mi 9 with Snapdragon 855 with the triple rear camera module. Xiaomi is investing heavily on the smartphone’s cameras since the past couple of years. It carries the world’s first 20W wireless charging pad which follows Quick Charge and Qi Wireless protocols. Further, they revealed the 5G powered variant of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 with the sliding design.

Yesterday, in an overwhelming response Xiaomi Mi 9 went out of stock in just 53 seconds during its first flash sale in China. Soon it will be made available across different markets such as India and Europe.
