Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi Tag globally at MWC 2026. The compact and affordable tracker, designed to help users locate lost items, is now available in Europe following earlier releases in markets like Malaysia and Thailand.

Pricing and Availability

In Europe, the Xiaomi Tag is priced at €14.9 for a 1-pack and €49.9 for a 4-pack, while in the UK, it is available for £12.99 and £44.99, respectively.

Xiaomi Tag Specifications

The Xiaomi Tag integrates with both Apple Find My and Google Android Find Hub, allowing users to track their belongings within their preferred ecosystem. The device works with iPhones and iPads running iOS 14.5 or later and Android devices running version 9 or newer. However, the Xiaomi Tag cannot operate across both platforms simultaneously.

The device weighs just 10 grams and features a compact, minimalist body with a metal frame. Its IP67 rating ensures protection from dust and water. It also includes a built-in hanging loop, allowing users to attach it easily to keys, bags, or luggage.

Xiaomi Tag includes several advanced features to improve tracking and convenience. It features a Lost Mode, which lets users mark an item as missing and share contact details. These details can be accessed by someone tapping the tag with an NFC-enabled smartphone. It also comes with a built-in piezoelectric buzzer, which can be triggered through the Apple Find My app or Google Find Hub to locate nearby items through sound.

The Tag also features a collaborative finding feature that uses nearby devices to securely and privately locate lost items. Additionally, it includes left-behind alerts, which notify users when the tag is separated from a frequent location, helping to prevent forgotten belongings.

To protect user privacy, the Xiaomi Tag provides anti-tracking alerts. The system notifies users if an unknown tag is detected moving with them. Xiaomi ensures that all location data is encrypted during transmission, preventing unauthorized tracking.

The Xiaomi Tag uses a replaceable CR2032 battery that delivers over one year of battery life. The app provides low-battery alerts, ensuring users can replace the battery on time.

Alongside the Tag, Xiaomi has also launched the Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W.

Xiaomi has officially stepped into the smart tracking market with the launch of the Xiaomi Tag. This is a compact Bluetooth tracker designed to help you find misplaced keys, wallets, luggage and more, all while offering cross-platform support that sets it apart from many rivals. Unlike proprietary solutions that tie you to a single mobile ecosystem, the Xiaomi Tag is built to work seamlessly with both Apple’s and Google’s ecosystems, giving users flexibility whether they use an iPhone or Android device.

Xiaomi Tag: Lightweight Design with Practical Tracking Tools

The Chinese tech giant’s latest smart tracker sports a minimalist white plastic build, weighing just around 10g and measuring about 7.2mm thick. So it is slim enough to slip into a wallet or attach to keychains and bags with a compatible strap or accessory.

Inside, the tracker uses Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC for connectivity with nearby devices, and it’s powered by a replaceable CR2032 coin-cell battery that Xiaomi says can last over one year before needing a swap. But one thing that sets this smart tracker apart from the crowd is the cross platform tracking via Apple Find My and Google Find Hub. This allows items to be located by compatible devices across ecosystems.

There is also a built-in buzzer that plays a tone when triggered from your phone, which is handy for finding an item nearby. Xiaomi offers “Left Behind” alerts as well, to notify you when you walk away from a tagged object. It supports Lost Mode and contact details so others can also help return a missing item via pop-ups if discovered on another network phone. This model gets an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Xiaomi Tag has just released in Malaysia, being available in a single white color option. It carries a RM 79 (roughly 20 US Dollars) price tag for a single unit, while a pack of four is available for RM 299 (roughly 77 US Dollars).

The post Xiaomi Tag Debuts as the Brand New Apple AirTag Rival With Apple Find My and Google Find Hub appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi has officially announced the global launch of its new Bluetooth tracker, the Xiaomi Tag. The company will debut the device on February 28, 2026, during its MWC event in Barcelona.

The Xiaomi Tag weighs 10 grams and measures 7.2mm thick. The device uses a CR2032 coin battery, which provides an estimated battery life of one year. Xiaomi has designed the tracker to help users quickly locate lost items, including keys, wallets, and bags.

The tracker supports both Apple’s Find My network and Google’s Find Hub ecosystem, making it compatible with both iOS and Android devices. It uses Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC for location tracking but does not include ultra-wideband (UWB) technology. However, a UWB-enabled version is reportedly in development and might launch in the future.

The February 28 event will also feature other product launches. Xiaomi plans to unveil the Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone, the Redmi Buds 8 Pro earbuds, and the Xiaomi Ultra Slim Magnetic Power Bank. The company will also showcase new AIoT products during the event, which begins at 2 PM CET in Barcelona.

The Xiaomi Tag has already appeared on several European retailer websites ahead of its official launch. As per the leaked listings, the device is priced at €17.99 ($21), and if you buy a pack of four, it would cost €59.99 ($70).

Xiaomi aims to position the product for budget-conscious users who want reliable tracking without paying the higher prices of competitors like Apple’s AirTag, Moto Tag, or Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag.

The post Xiaomi Tag tracker is launching globally on February 28 at MWC 2026 appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi is quietly preparing its own answer to Apple’s AirTag and similar item trackers. Last month, a report suggested that a product called the Xiaomi Tag was in development. Now, fresh details from a reliable source add more weight to that claim.

Well-known leaker Kacper Skrzypek shared on X that he discovered references to the Xiaomi Tag hidden inside HyperOS system files.

Based on what he found, Xiaomi’s tracker may debut first in mainland China, rather than launching globally right away. Not as surprising, as Xiaomi often rolls out new hardware in its home market before expanding elsewhere.

According to Skrzypek, the Xiaomi Tag will look similar to Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag 2. It’s also expected to come in two different versions.

One model will support Ultra-Wideband (UWB), which allows for more precise location tracking at close range, while the other will rely only on Bluetooth. Both versions are said to use CR2032 coin cell batteries for power.

Here’s what Xiaomi Tag looks like

The leaker also shared a product rendering image, which gives a rough idea of the design Xiaomi may be going for. While the image doesn’t confirm final hardware details, it suggests Xiaomi is sticking with a clean, functional look rather than trying something radically different.

More clues come from strings of code found in HyperOS, which hint at how the Xiaomi Tag will work in everyday use.

Users should be able to pair the tag by simply peeling off an insulating sticker on the back and bringing the tag close to their phone for automatic pairing. Once set up, you should see the tag’s location on a map, get notifications when an item is lost, and manage safety features. One such feature allows trusted users to avoid triggering “unknown tracker” alerts when traveling together.

For now, Xiaomi hasn’t officially confirmed the product.

The post Xiaomi Tag is indeed launching globally, here’s how it looks appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch a new tracking tag—simply called the Xiaomi Tag—and it could land at a price that puts pressure on both Apple and Motorola.

The info comes from reliable Weibo leaker Repeater 002, who suggests Xiaomi is finalizing the device and is preparing to launch it alongside the Xiaomi Watch 5 and Buds 6. These accessories could be introduced during the Xiaomi 17 Ultra launch event in China, which is reportedly scheduled for December 26, 2025.

Nothing too detailed has surfaced yet, but the basics are fairly clear. The product name appears locked in as “Xiaomi Tag,” and most early signs point toward support for Ultra-Wideband (UWB). That would enable more precise, short-range locating—similar to the “Precision Finding” feature that helps AirTags stand out. The bigger deal, though, is that Xiaomi’s tracker is expected to work with Google’s Find My Device network, which relies on nearby Android phones to anonymously relay a tag’s location even when it’s offline.

That setup isn’t unique anymore; Chipolo, Pebblebee, and Motorola’s Moto Tag already offer UWB and tie-ins with Google’s network. But where Xiaomi could shake things up is, unsurprisingly, pricing. Both the Moto Tag and Pebblebee Clip currently cost above $25 on Amazon, and most well-known alternatives land in the same ballpark. If Xiaomi can undercut its alternatives on specs for a similar price, it’ll have a real shot at winning over Android users who’ve been waiting for a cheap-but-capable finder tag.

If Xiaomi sticks to its usual playbook, the AirTag may soon have some long-overdue competition.
