Xiaomi Watch S2 Spotted on Sirim Database Ahead of Global Launch

Xiaomi will be launching a bunch of devices at the upcoming Mobile World Congress event. This includes the Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, and Xiaomi 13 Lite smartphones. Other gadgets like the Smartband 8 and the Watch S2 could also make their global debut at this event.

The Xiaomi Watch S2, which debuted back in December for the Chinese market is rumored to launch soon globally. It had previously appeared on the TRDA certification website, and now, the wearable has made an appearance on the SIRIM database.

The SIRIM database has certified the Xiaomi Watch S2 bearing model number M2207W1. The listing does not reveal any details on the specifications and features, however, it does confirm the moniker. The watch was previously spotted on TRDA certification with the same model number. As the watch is already available in China, we already know about its hardware and features.

Xiaomi Watch S2 specs & features

The Xiaomi Watch S2 is available in China in two sizes: 42mm and 46mm, with a circular dial and two physical buttons on the right side. The device has a stainless steel middle frame and sapphire glass, and both models feature an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The watch is water-resistant up to 5 meters.

In terms of health and fitness, the Xiaomi Watch S2 has a heart rate and SpO2 sensor, as well as a body composition measurement that can track fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, protein volume, and more. To use this feature, users simply place two fingers on the side buttons. The device also includes a sleep and stress tracker, a menstrual cycle monitor for women, and breathing exercises. With over 100 sports modes, the watch can track a wide range of physical activities.

The Xiaomi Watch S2 comes with a built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calling, as well as a safety tracking feature that can alert pre-set contacts for help. The watch also includes GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC support. The 46mm model has a 500mAh battery that can last up to 12 days, while the 42mm model has a 305mAh battery that can last up to 7 days. Xiaomi Band 8 & Watch S2 Global Launch Near as They Get TDRA Certified

After launching them in China last year, Xiaomi is ready to bring the new Xiaomi 13 series smartphones to the global market. The company will unveil the vanilla Xiaomi 13, the higher-end Xiaomi 13 Pro, and a stripped-down Xiaomi 13 Lite internationally on February 26. However, it seems the brand will also launch new wearables pretty soon. Recently, a new Xiaomi smart brand and the existing Xiaomi Watch S2 have bagged TDRA certification, hinting at a nearby launch.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 has bagged the TDRA certificate with model number M2239B1 while the Watch S2 has received it with model number M2207W1. The certification authority did not reveal any specifications of the two devices but confirmed their global launch.

Currently, the details about the Xiaomi Band 8 are pretty scarce. It is expected to be the successor of the Xiaomi Band 7, which was unveiled last year. You can expect the smart band to feature all the general fitness tracking features as well as a large display. On the contrary, Xiaomi Watch S2’s specifications are all out as the wearable is already official in China.

The smartwatch is sold in two different sizes— One is 1.43 inches and the other is 1.32 inches. Both sizes feature AMOLED displays. The leather version of the wearable also flaunts Sapphire glass protection. The wearable comes with a built-in speaker and microphone for Bluetooth calling and interacting with voice assistants.

It has various sleep-tracking and fitness-tracking features and supports over 100 sports modes. Featuring Bluetooth 5.2, the watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters. The 1.43 inches version of the watch packs a 500mAh battery, whereas the 1.32 inches one gets a smaller 305mAh battery.

Xiaomi Band 7 Pro, Watch S1 Pro, Watch S2 Launched In Magenta Strap Colour

Xiaomi has announced a new colour option for the Band 7 Pro, Watch S2, and Watch S1 Pro. All three devices come in a new Magenta colour strap. They have been introduced as a part of the Chinese New Year also known as the Lunar New Year or Spring Festival in the country. Additionally, apart from a new strap colour, to celebrate the occasion Xiaomi also confirmed that it will launch a new year limited dial on January 21st.

The Magenta colour strap option for the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro costs RMB 59 ($8.77) whereas for Watch S1 Pro and S2, it costs RMB 99 ($14.71). It is already available for purchase from the brand’s official website The Xiaomi Band 7 Pro was launched in July last year whereas the Watch S1 Pro and S2 debuted in April and December 2022 respectively. Apart from the new colour of the watch strap, the core specifications of the wearable devices remain the same.

The Xiaomi Band 7 Pro features a 1.64-inch AMOLED screen with an always-on display feature. It is equipped with a heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep tracker, and packs 117 sports modes. The fitness tracker is backed by a 235mAh battery unit that is claimed to deliver 12 days of usage.

On the other hand, the Watch S2 comes in 1.32 (42mm) and 1.43-inch (46mm) AMOLED displays whereas the Watch S1 Pro features a 1.47-inch screen. Both smartwatches are equipped with an HRM, SpO2 sensor, stress and sleep tracker, temperature monitor, and 100 workout modes. There is also a built-in GPS for outdoor activities. The Watch S2 also features a body composition measurement and a built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calling.

Xiaomi held its biggest event in China today. It announced multiple products including the Xiaomi 13 series, Buds 4, MIUI 14, and more. The brand also unveiled the Xiaomi Watch S2. It arrives as the successor to the last year’s Watch S1. The smartwatch competes against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, Apple Watch series, and more in the market. Read on to know what the wearable device has in store for us.

The Xiaomi Watch S2 comes in two circular dial sizes i.e. 42mm and 46mm. It has two oblong-shaped physical buttons on the right side. The smartwatch features a stainless steel metal middle frame and sapphire glass. The 42mm variant offers a 1.32-inch screen whereas the 46mm model features a 1.43-inch display. Both have an AMOLED panel bearing a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The wearable device is water-resistant up to 5 meters.

The 46mm carries a price tag of RMB 1,099 (~$157) and RMB 1,299 (~$186) for the 42mm Black standard and Light Gold leather colour variants respectively. The smartwatch is up for purchase in China.

Xiaomi 13 Pro Wilderness Green Extreme Package Bundling a Buds 4 & Watch S2 Announced

Ahead of its December 11 launch event, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun has announced the Mi 13 Pro Wilderness Green Extreme Package. The package consists of the smartphone itself with 512GB of storage, the Buds 4 earbuds, and the Watch S2. The package also contains a travel plain leather protective case while the Buds 4 has noise-canceling capabilities. The package also includes the premium Mi Watch S2.

The Mi 13 Pro smartphone comes with 12GB RAM together with 512GB of storage. The Mi Watch S2 in the package also includes the Wilderness Green Leather Strap. The Mi 13 series also features a white colorway option and YuanShan Blue, using the wear-resistant nano-skin which is also dirt-resistant. Overall the packages look and feel both good, with Xiaomi also releasing images of the glazed ceramics and nano-crystalline technologies featured in the Mi 13 Pro.

The Xiaomi Mi 13 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 flash memory. The models in the Mi 13 lineup are equipped with the Leica 75mm humanistic, large-aperture telephoto lens. The Mi 13 sports a 2.5D front design and a four-curved surface at the back. It has a width of 71.5mm and Lei Jun says it is surprisingly comfortable to hold. It is also equipped with a 4642 square millimeter VC liquid cooling mechanism. With the highest level of dustproof and waterproof protection (IP68), the Mi 13 is well-protected.

The Xiaomi 13 series and MIUI 14 new product launch event on December 11 will see the official unveiling of the products. With a few days to the unveiling, expectations are high about the premium Mi 13 series. Xiaomi expects the new products to have a great reception in the market. Pricing and global availability information will be provided at the launch event.

Xiaomi Buds 4 & Watch S2 Official Images Released Ahead of Dec. 1 Launch

Xiaomi is scheduled to hold a launch event on December 1 with the Xiaomi 13 launch being the major highlight. However, the Chinese tech giant has shared a couple of teasers confirming that apart from the flagship phone, a couple of other products will be announced. The Xiaomi Buds 4 Noise-cancelling TWS earbuds and Xiaomi Watch S2 have recently been confirmed to launch on December 1, as well.

Ahead, of the launch, Xiaomi released a couple of teaser images of both devices. The teasers give us a clear look at both devices with the Buds 4 shown to feature a rare semi-in-ear design with active noise cancellation. The Buds 4 is likely a trimmed-down version of the Buds 4 Pro but the design is slightly different in that there are no silicone earbuds as a result of the semi-in-ear design.

However, it features a round pebble-like charging case that retains the USB-C charging port just like the Buds 4 Pro. The upper part of the case has a metal glossy finish while the lower half is made of plastic. The official images show the device will come in three color options – Green, White, and Black. For reference, the Buds 4 is only available in gold and black colors.

On its part, the Xiaomi Watch S2 is a follow-up of the Watch S1 Pro released back in August. It adopts a new dual-size design, with a variety of fashionable straps, professional sports modes, and innovative health management features. The watch will be available in two sizes – 42mm and 46mm, similar to what is obtainable on the Galaxy Watch series.

The official images show the device adopts a flat display with a stainless-steel body. There are two physical buttons on the right side of the watch body, and a raised part below for heart rate detection.

At present, the specifications are not known. For reference, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro uses a 1.47-inch OLED screen with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 72.7% and a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels.

In addition, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro is equipped with a health sensor from Goodix Technology bringing high-precision, all-weather heart rate, and blood oxygen saturation detection, among others.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun Confirms 42mm and 46mm Versions of Xiaomi Watch S2

Xiaomi has scheduled a launch event in China on 1st December, where the company is set to launch a bunch of new devices, including the Watch S2, Buds 4, and the flagship Mi 13 series smartphones.

The upcoming smartwatch, dubbed Xiaomi Watch S2, will be launched as a successor to the Mi Watch S1 that was launched in China last year, and unlike its predecessor, the wearable device will come in different sizes.

Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, has confirmed through a teaser on Weibo that the upcoming Xiaomi Watch S2 will be available in a 42mm model along with the regular 46mm model.

In the post on the social media platform, Lei Jun implied that the company decided to add a smaller model for girls and added that the device would offer several delicate and fashionable dials for the users. The teaser poster showcases the upcoming smartwatch with Blue and Beige Brown staps.

It has already been leaked that the Xiaomi Xiaomi Watch S2 42mm version will come in Gold and Black color options, while the larger 46mm version model will be offered in Black and Silver colors. The device is said to have been priced at 999 yuan, which is about $139.

Currently, not much is known about the upcoming wearable device from Xiaomi, but it has been revealed that the product will be focusing more on professional sports mode and will come with advanced health-related features.

We expect the device to feature an AMOLED display and come with dual-frequency GPS for tracking and navigation and multiple fitness and health-related features. As the launch is just days away, we don’t have to wait long to know about the device’s specifications, features, pricing, and availability.

Earlier today, Xiaomi announced the date of its upcoming launch event. The brand also confirmed that it will unveil the Xiaomi 13 series smartphones, Xiaomi Buds 4, and Xiaomi Watch S2 at the event. The smartphones have already been subject to a lot of leaked renders and key specifications. However, not much is known about the wearable devices i.e. Buds 4 and Watch S2 apart from their design that was revealed in the official teaser.

Now, publication 91Mobiles has learnt about the pricing of the Xiaomi Buds 4 and Xiaomi Watch S2 from reliable industry tipster Ishan Agarwal. The pricing information is for the Chinese market. The report states that the audio device will carry a price tag of RMB 600 (~$83). On the other hand, the smartwatch will be available in two sizes i.e. 42mm in Black and Gold colour and another 46mm in Black and Silver option. The Watch S2 is tipped to start at RMB 999 (~$138).

The Xiaomi Buds 4 will arrive as the successor to the Buds 3 but is expected to be a toned-down version of the Buds 4 Pro that debuted in August this year. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Watch S2 will succeed the Watch S1 from last year.

The teaser image of the Xiaomi Buds 4 reveals an AirPods-like in-ear design with microphone cutouts on each earbud whereas the charging case has a dual-tone design. The Xiaomi Watch S2 is seen with a circular dial and two pill-shaped physical buttons on the right side.

Xiaomi 13 Series Launching on December 1, Watch S2, Buds 4, and MIUI 14 to Debut Alongside

After months of leaks, the Xiaomi 13 series launch date has been finally confirmed. The Chinese manufacturer has confirmed that it will be unveiled at 7 pm (local time) on Dec. 1 in China. A couple of other products, such as the Watch S2, Buds 4 TWS earbuds, and MIUI 14 will also be announced alongside the Xiaomi 13 series.

Xiaomi 13 series launch date

Last year in December, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. It appears that there won’t be any successor for the Xiaomi 12X this year. The upcoming flagship lineup will include two models, namely the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

Shown below is a leaked render of the Xiaomi 13. The image gives a good look at the design and color variants of the phone. Since the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be a larger version of the Xiaomi 13, both phones are expected to sport an identical design.

The company has confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 series will sport super-slim bezels. The size of the bottom bezel is only 1.61mm, which indicates that it could be as thin as the upper bezel. Unfortunately, the authenticity of the above renders could not be confirmed.

The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. It is unclear whether the Xiaomi 13 series will come preloaded with the latest MIUI 14. If not, it will be one of the first phones to get the MIUI 14 upgrade.

At present, there is no information on the specifications of the Xiaomi Buds 4 and Xiaomi Watch S2.

Xiaomi Buds 4

The company is already selling the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro in China for 1,099 Yuan (~$152). Hence, there is a possibility that the Buds 4 would be a more affordable product priced at around 500 Yuan (~$70). It will arrive in black, white, and green colors.
