Soon after its announcement, the device <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/08/xiaomi-mi-router-ax6000-sale-china/">went on sale in China</a> for 599 yuan, about $93.</p>
<p>Now, the company has started rolling out its first <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/update">firmware update</a> which brings improved system stability as well as a fix for the mesh networking. This new update is currently being rolled out to users.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-362398 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/xiaomi-router-ax6000.png?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mi Router AX6000" width="792" height="552" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/xiaomi-router-ax6000.png 792w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/xiaomi-router-ax6000-300x209.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/xiaomi-router-ax6000-768x535.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/xiaomi-router-ax6000-100x70.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/xiaomi-router-ax6000-696x485.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/xiaomi-router-ax6000-603x420.png 603w" sizes="(max-width: 792px) 100vw, 792px" /></p>
<p>The Wi-Fi 6 Enhanced version has been upgraded to 4096QAM encoding technology. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/technology">technology</a> can increase frequency utilization so that each data packet can contain more data, which can greatly increase the transmission rate. When compared to the previous generation, the throughput has increased by 20 percent.</p>
<p>The Xiaomi Mi Router AX6000 has a wireless rate of 6000 megabytes — the highest rate in the current Xiaomi router series. It also supports 4K QAM and 2500M full-speed network port and other technologies and configurations, claiming to bring a speed experience different from previous <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/wi-fi-6-router">Wi-Fi 6 routers</a>.</p>
<p>Thanks to Wi-Fi 6 Enhanced technology, it supports 4×4 160MHz bandwidth. Compared with the current mainstream WiFi 6 4×4 80MHz bandwidth, the bandwidth of this current version is doubled and also offers multi-device connectivity.</p>
<p>Powered by a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> chipset, the device comes with 512MB of RAM and supports simultaneous access of 248 devices. The Mi Router AX6000 has six independent signal amplifiers and Xiaomi Mesh networking, helping the device cope with various complex house types and achieve full house coverage without dead ends.</p>

The existence of this router was first revealed by Digital Chat Station a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/07/xiaomi-to-launch-wi-fi-6-router-alongside-the-mi-10/">couple of days back</a>. But today, the company also revealed that the new router will be based on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> Networking Pro 600 Wi-Fi 6 platform, which is essentially built for enterprise-grade routers.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Screenshot-2020-02-10-at-1.52.41-PM.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-304658" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Screenshot-2020-02-10-at-1.52.41-PM.png?x10805" alt="Xiaomi wi-fi router teaser" width="686" height="538" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Screenshot-2020-02-10-at-1.52.41-PM.png 686w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Screenshot-2020-02-10-at-1.52.41-PM-300x235.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Screenshot-2020-02-10-at-1.52.41-PM-536x420.png 536w" sizes="(max-width: 686px) 100vw, 686px" /></a></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> has highlighted that the Mi AIoT AX3600 Wi-Fi ax router is the first to use an enterprise-grade platform for the consumer market. In the image shared on the company&#8217;s Weibo account, we can see that this router will be powered by Qualcomm&#8217;s IPQ8071 platform. The chipmaker explains that this platform is &#8220;the ideal architecture for retail routers, two-radio mesh networking systems, broadband gateways, as well as enterprise and carrier-class applications.&#8221;</p>
<p>The new-age Wi-Fi 6 promises to optimize power consumption and coverage capabilities of a router with support for high-speed concurrent connections. Other benefits of this new-generation connectivity include lower overall latency and high rate of data transmission.</p>
<p>We can expect more details about the new router in the next couple of days. It will officially launch alongside the Mi 10 series at an online-only event in China on Thursday, February 13.</p>
