After a few weeks of teasers and leaks, ZTE Nubia Z11 Max is finally official. The phone stays true to its name, coming with a massive 6-inch display with super slim 1.32mm bezels. The screen is clearly the highlight of the smartphone, as it covers 83.27 percent of the body, which is highly impressive. This is achieved by slimming down the bezels on all sides. Plus, the Z11 Max is a super slim device, measuring just 7.4mm in thickness. In comparison, the Xiaomi Mi Max phablet comes with a 6.4-inch screen and a body which is 7.5mm thick. Well, we’ll talk more about both these devices together at their comparison later. Now, it’s time to look at the Nubia Z11 Max in detail.

Since we already started on the phone’s display, let’s talk more about that. The phone comes with a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED  Display protected by Gorilla Glass 3, with an impressive screen to body ratio, making it stand out among other phablets. The company has used the same NubiaArc 4.0 design philosophy as its previous devices. So the Z11 Max comes with a double sided glass design with smooth round corners. The chassis is made out of aluminum. You have three color options namely black, grey and white. Nubia smartphones are usually known for their beautiful design and slim design, and this one does not disappoint.

Coming to the internals, the ZTE Nubia Z11 Max features the flagship chip of the mid-range segment, namely the Snapdragon 652 clocked at 1.8GHz. There will be 4GB of RAM on board along with 64GB (eMMC 5.0) of internal storage. This is further expandable up to 200GB via MicroSD. You also get a fingerprint sensor at the back. The phone supports dual 4G SIM cards with VoLTE. It also comes with an independent Hi-Fi decoder chip and amplifier for enhancing the audio output.

At the back, it features a 16MP rear camera sensor, which is the Sony IMX298, with PDAF, closed loop motor AF, f/2.0 aperture and 6P lens. The company has used its own NeoVision 5.9 Imaging software. The phone supports handheld image stabilization, 3D Noise reduction (could be useful for low light images), DTI pixel isolation technology and LTM area color control tech. Further, Nubia has added support for live filters for the camera, which means you can change filters in real time like video calling. Up front, the phone features an 8MP 1.4um pixel size camera, with support for fill light function.

For powering its massive battery as well as a capable camera, the company has put in a large 4000mAh battery. This coupled with Nubia’s NeoPower 2.0 technology (CEO had revealed some tidbits about this tech a few days back) promises impressive battery life. The company has not only increased the battery capacity of the device to 4000mAh, but also used power efficient hardware to boost battery life. This includes an efficient Super AMOLED display, DSP co-processor, SmartPA, closed loop motor AF etc along with 116 software optimizations. Taking all these into consideration, the Nubia Z11 Max reportedly provides up to 114 hours of music playback, 8.33 hours of navigation and 13 hours of social media apps. This basically converts into 2.82 days of regular usage and 1.76 days of heavy usage, reveals the company. And since you get Quick Charge 3.0 on the device, 10 minutes of charging can reportedly provide up to 2.5hours of HD video playback, 6 hours of talk time and 13.7 hours of battery life.

The Nubia Z11 Max runs on Nubia 3.9.9 UI based on Android Lollipop. The phone goes on sale at 1999 Yuan ($304) on June 16 at 10:00AM. The reservations for the silver colored model is already underway in China.

Since Nubia just signed Cristiano Ronaldo as the brand ambassador of the company, it is also selling a customized Nubia Z11 Max signed by C. Ronaldo on the back. Also, this edition comes with custom C. Ronaldo wallpapers along with special gifts. This particular special edition will set you back 2299 Yuan ($350) and will go on sale on June 18 at 10:00 AM.

Chinese companies are increasingly getting out of their home market and expanding into newer markets like Europe. To increase their brand awareness, these companies sign up top celebrities in these regions, like how Huawei signed Lionel Messi and Nubia signed Cristiano Ronaldo. And once they sign such huge celebrities, it is not uncommon for these companies to release specialized flagship models. It looks like that’s going to be the case with Nubia as well.

The company confirmed today that they will announce the Nubia Z11 Max phablet on June 7 in Beijing. And it looks like we could see a limited edition Cristiano Ronaldo signed version of the model at the event. That would be a logical move by the company, since he is now the global brand ambassador for Nubia. In case you remember, Huawei also has a specialized limited edition Mate 8 version coming on May 24 reportedly signed by Messi. Another speculation is that Ronaldo will be present at the event. But nothing is confirmed so far.

Nubia’s GM Ni Fei has already confirmed that the Z11 Max will boast of 83.7 percent screen to body ratio, which is amazing. This means that the phone will be nearly bezel-less and the top and the bottom bezels too will have to be trimmed down to reach this level of screen percentage. What is also confirmed is that the phone will fature 2.5D glass up front, a smooth metal frame and speakers at the bottom along with USB Type-C.

As for the specs, the Nubia Z11 Max is said to come with Snapdragon 652 with a 6-inch 1080p display, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front shooter, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The battery is expected to be of 4000mAh. You can read more details about specs and design from the phone’s TENAA listing.

ZTE’s Nubia smartphone division recently unveiled a brand new device, the Nubia Z11 Mini. But considering the specs of the device, it was no flagship. Since Nubia is known to release premium devices, this meant that we could expect more smartphone launches soon and one possible candidate was the next generation model the Z9 Max released last year, called as the Nubia Z11 Max. This particular model has always featured a large screen, which means most compact phone lovers usually don’t consider it. But what if the bezels on the side as well as the top are reduced, will such consumers still neglect a large screen smartphone?

Well, Nubia’s executive has already confirmed that the Nubia Z11 Max is coming and along with this information, he revealed that the model will come with an impressive 83.27% screen to body ratio. It becomes necessary for large-screen models to reduce the bezel size in order to make it a bit more compact than the competition. The usual screen to body ratio ranges anywhere from 75% to 80%, but this is just amazing. We can see in the render that the company seems to have trimmed down the bezels on the top, making it quite thin. On the sides, we don’t see any visible bezels, but we hope there are no thick black borders ruining the near bezel-less design.

The phone has already passed through TENAA, revealing some important information about the phone’s specs. First of all, the phone sports a 6-inch 1080p display and comes with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz (most likely Snapdragon 652). There’s 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable ROM and a 16MP rear snapper with an 8MP one up front. Other features includes a large 4000mAh battery, Android 5.1 OS and 4G LTE support.

The phone is made out of a metal body and looks quite attractive as well. So, while the Nubia Z11 Max may not be a Xiaomi Mi Max killer in terms of pricing, but its size and specs could very well take on the Mi phablet.

ZTE’s Nubia smartphone division unveiled the ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini smartphone last month. Unlike last year, where the company had revealed the Z9 Max along with the Z9 Mini, this year, the company released a single model at the event. But we knew that a larger model in the series was around the corner and now the Nubia Z11 Max smartphone has just passed through TENAA confirming our speculation.

Staying true to its Max name, the Z11 Max comes with a large 6-inch 1080p display with thin bezels. According to TENAA certification, the phone will have an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz under the hood, which should most likely be the Snapdragon 652. For memory, the phone will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This is further expandable via MicroSD slot. At the back, the Z11 Max features a 16MP camera while up front, there is an 8MP shooter. The phone will be running on Android 5.1. Other features of the phone include a large 4000mAh battery, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS etc.

The company is yet to reveal a release date for the new Z11 Max model. But given that the Z11 Mini is already announced, it shouldn’t take long for Nubia to release this large screen handset.
