Specs and Features

The ZTE Axon 11 5G features a 6.47 inch hyperbolic curved display. This is similar to the type of display found in the Oppo Find X series and is known to be more expensive than conventional displays. The smartphone carries the general rectangular shape but with rounded corners on every side. One of its highlighting aspects was that its launch placed emphasis on a powerful device that is both thin and light as well, which is true since the device is only 7.9mm thick, weighs 168g and is the world’s lightest 5G handset.

Under the hood, the ZTE Axon 11 5G sports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC and is powered by a large 4,000mAh battery pack. It even supports 18W fast charging, Quick Charge 4+, and AI facial recognition features. In terms of optics, the AXON 11 arrives with a 64-megapixel primary camera alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixel Macro and another 2-megapixel depth of field sensor. On the front, a 20-megapixel camera is housed on a small waterdrop notch.

The primary sensor features an f/1.89 aperture and supports dual video image stabilization technology. In other words, both the primary camera and the ultra-wide-angle lens supports stabilization for capturing videos. Notably, the ZTE AXON 11 5G also offers a bunch of image and video editing software features including filters, stitching transition effect, tinkering with the video speeds, background music and much more.

The device also has a hybrid SIM slot (dual nano or Nano + MicroSD card up to 2TB), Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, DTS:X Ultra, Hi-Fi audio via earphones, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It runs Android 10 with MiFavor 10 on top.

Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed the phone’s back in a new poster where its brand ambassador Sean Sun is holding the upcoming device.

In the hand of the Chinese award-winning actor, we can see that the ZTE Axon 11 features a quad-camera setup where the sensors are placed on a square-shaped camera module in the top-left corner. Below the module is an LED flash as well as some camera-related text.

Apart from that, a poster of the upcoming Axon 11 Pro 5G has been leaked online which showcases its front panel and also reveals its color variants. It shows that the phone will come with a waterdrop notch display.

The same poster shows the smartphone in two color variants — Silver and Dark Grey/Black. However, to know for sure, we’ll have to wait for a couple of days more for the company to officially launch the device.

Recently, the ZTE Axon 11 passed through 3C certification which revealed that it will come with support for 18W fast charging. This hints that the phone won’t be a flagship offering from the company but the device is confirmed to have dual-mode SA and NSA 5G support.

The poster announcing the phone’s launch date teased it as a “5G Video Phone”, hinting that the company will be focusing on two aspects for the flagship smartphone — 5G connectivity and camera for video.

While the company has announced the launch date of the ZTE Axon 11 5G, it is yet to officially launch ZTE Axon 10S Pro 5G which has been leaked several times in the past. Now, ahead of its launch next week, the phone has passed through 3C certification process.

The smartphone, which carries model ZTE A2021 has passed through the 3C certification of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It reveals that the phone will come with support for 18W fast charging.

Given that the phone has 18W fast charging support, it seems that the device won’t be a flagship one and could be a mid-range of upper mid-range offering. The device is also confirmed to have dual-mode SA and NSA 5G support.

The poster announcing the phone’s launch date is touting the upcoming device as “5G Video Phone”, hinting that the company will be focusing on two aspects for the flagship smartphone — 5G connectivity and camera for video.
